What I really miss about the old days were the big maps, big teams, not necessarily with megabots, coming face to face with another bot and fighting it out 1v1, stripping weapons and movements parts off it. I loved driving through the battlefield in the low tiers and see half dead bots strewn around everywhere. I remember "hugging" megas. I remember the joy with which I unlocked electro plates and though about the awesome medic I would build, being able to heal and do damage if I so chosed. Now though................................................it's more creative and fair yes, but it's also kind of dull............I really miss the right click medic feature and camping out on a mountain with my rails, keeping a safe distance, shooting down planes, without ugly drones shredding my face off.................Like if you agree.
RA_TV Drones existed even way back 2014. Also, sniping people from a distance is still viable if you have the skill to position yourself well enough. 1v1 is still a thing actually and damaging your opponent feels better with the current dmg system. We even have dmg boost for units with common weapons and high dmg. There's also autoheal which is waaay better than waiting around for some healer to come and help. It's not unfair if you die now since you have all the chances to survive.
yes the maps were huge and it was fun also i lost all my progess since i didnt play for 2 years anymore but now when i started i lost it all :/ i still like the game
josh brown I just finished grinding my megabot and grinding out tx1 cubes and felt good, never got to play it or use my tx1 bricks cause they removed the mrgabots. then I play later grinding assloads of teir 10 cubes feeling good, and they squash armor. the game totally ruined me cause I had wasted so much time on stuff that was never to be that I just can't play it anymore and have a deep resentment for it, scared to work on the next project. the satisfaction I got from getting these things was great, but the fall was so much greater...
"artist can build what they want with colors" you got to pay for them "there is no OP weapon in the game that you can go out and get a kill every match" shotguns and they cost and arm and a leg The reason veterans are pissed is not because the game is changing its cause i spent hours getting to rank 10 building the best bot THEN having my rank 10 cubes be worth the same as a rank 1 and pretty much whip my account and throw me into a different game with less money than a new player... not only that but you can have an amazing match and get fuck all from it there is no progress just mindless grinding which may or may not go in your favor? so give me a helmet and a pick axe cause i am going to live in that salt mine and remain salty about being reduced to nothing (its like waking up one day in a field to find out all your lifes work has just vanished)
The problem i have with the new robocraft is that i find it basically impossible to get the parts i need to build my bot and it feels extremely cheap to use smaller paarts, i also hate the cpu damage boost thing.
I think Freejam should have another game that is based heavily on the old robocraft to keep the old, salty players happy, and continue updating the current one
@Rooftop since when did this have anything to do with my videos? I called him a crybaby as a joke because of the "a few tears ran down my face" comment. And then you take it way too seriously and start talking about my videos... Stay on topic, jeez.
gr8 b8 m8. :P Seriously though, great video, beat me to it, but hey, not I can focus on other videos, lol, or maybe I'll talk about my thoughts on the matter someday, idk.
I like how you say about how you used to have to either grind or pay for colours as if it were worse than it is now... when we have to pay for good colours and grinding isn't an option.
This game was so damn fun when I played it, I am a veteran of this game, I have played it since the beta... Guys let me tell you this that have not played the game since then, that version of the game was amazing, you did not end in a team where there was one that had one CPU or no guns, you had a rank bar that matched others, if you had three SMGS you might end up in a team with others that also has that amount of SMGS. But the two things that was the greatest of that version was the progression and the way you had to defend your pilot, if your pilot got destroyed, you would die instantly and there was no self healing too. That age was the real deal...
It was so fun to put your seat on overkill cubes, you just needed to be optimised for your tier. My first megabot battle was so exciting, I still remember the adrenaline rush. We had ways to deal with drones, it was called skill. Shure it sucked when your weapon were nurfed but it was never for long because they were listening to feedback. Proof, they got the tier back
I think freejam should make a robocraft 2 where it's like the 2014 - 15 versions also I have played since 2014 and I don't like the new age of robocraft
The biggest reason why I loved the game so much was because of the healer. The only class I loved to play was healer. I played healer bots from gamerguide and rosefall and flew from one corner to another corner of the map making sure my team was fully healed. The first thing they did wrong was removing the tier-x. There was nothing as fun as healing the mega bot. I still liked playing the game until they changed the nano guns to not auto aim. The moment when players could have more then 1 gun type, the healer class was that. And don't forget. You didn't self heal back in the day. So a healer was necessary. Rip
The ability to join some form of public custom game would be nice. Also...small maps with 5v5 don't feel like the 10v10 on big maps. I miss Spitzer Dam...
This is an awesome video. I love how you bring up the point of "the past also had its flaws". I personally miss RP and all, but i think this game is overall and slowly moving to a better future.
overtiering was not an issue. it simply wasn't. Maybe they got a couple one-hit KOs at the start of games, but anyone with team management skills higher than that of a potato knew that since plasmas couldn't be spammed *MHM* , over-tiered bots could only focus on one enemy at a time. if two people teamed up on one of those minibots with a megaplasma on it, it would die pretty easily. Sure, it's not pay2win now. I'll agree with you on that, but you have to admit that it's pay2skipprogression. No one actually used uber tech points unless they were so unbelievably lazy that they had to try out tier 10 blocks on day one... followed by them immediately regretting it as they got obliterated by tier 10 players who actually knew how to build BY THEMSELVES and skillfully maneuver/shoot. Artbots were not something people cared about. The block coloring was something that gave you a sense of achievement, not restriction. I remember in my first month, I saw a guy with green tier3 blocks only and had made a decently sized tank, full of plasmas, which were ONLY ALLOWED AFTER TIER 3 *ahem, progression*. I got destroyed instantly, since I only had tier 2 armor and only a couple tier 2 smgs, as you can imagine. But I knew that if I kept going, I would eventually be able to build into tier 3, and then get tier 3 tech points, and make my own beautiful green bot. you would see others on this same path, with higher tier armor cubes scattered all over their otherwise low-tier bot, because they didn't have enough cash. All your other points about how today's robocraft has so many new features, like the new gamemodes, brawl, custom matches, etc., are completely irrelevant. Those features could have come anyway regardless of all the other bullshit that freejam pulled. In fact, if we had brawl, custom matches, and all the cool features you speak of in the old robocraft, that would be a fucking amazing game! But if I have to deal with boring, keyboard-drooling weapons like flaks and modules, coupled with no tech tree (which was the main driving force to play the game for me) and literally no way to make money in the game other than recycling, then I'll take the old, barren basic game anyday. You seem to forget that robits were added to crates very recently. In the entire year of updates where you realistically had to pay real money to get any of the cool weapons and modules, Freejam lost so many of its followers that no update, no matter how significant, would bring them back. Not to mention the absolutely terrible community managment ever since they crushed the souls of any enthusiastic grinder by removing all the progression.
>flaks and modules Is someone getting emp'd too much or did you prey run away using blink? Also, its so obvious you were a drone player since you mentioned Aeroflak and not protoseekers and loml.
dude remember auto balance . last time my team has no nano but the enemy team is full of nano , other weapon and 1 clan then i lose --" my real issue is auto balance
FireSkull I used to wait a hour before he posted vids just so I can see first hand what he would build today and what I could learn from him to put in my builds
AYY 2003119 Doubtful. People quit because they don't like change. They don't care about what drops after each match, and they certainly won't listen to logic and reason. It's the curse of saltiness.
Best Robocraft was late 2013-early 2014...I have fcking water around my eyes, I think it is raining...nope, those are tears. I used to spend huge amounts of money on ingame currency, especially on those slots for robots, to have as many creations as possible. No regrets!
However, the veterans have to admit that everyone was using a plasma aircraft. Not that much fun for ground units (even tank tracks and mech legs didn't exist).
hope they bring back tier-system and tiered blocks. and they also need to repair the insect legs. cant stick to a wall even with 100 legs put on a single row of blocks. -_-
Nicely done mate. I'm glad you presented the flip side of the salt. The nostalgiacraft is real. I used to have tons of Megas but I never used them, they just weren't fun to play under those circumstances. And I can definitely do more artbot stuff than i could then. Thanks for addressing the haters. you should do a follow up video.Maybe your thoughts on what was good about the old days and how best to integrate that with what we have today. Also: Still living this ruined life? make a video that :P
bring tiers and a tech tree back, make crates a completely separate thing people can buy with real money. WELL WOULDYA LOOK AT THAT, ALL THE OLD PLAYERS ARE COMING BACK
tiers limit you to only doing stuff to progress and not realy having fun, the old tech tree was shit, I myself had to play like, 5 matches or more per day to get like, what? 4-5 T5 stars? and crates wouldnt work as a thing people would buy, cause if they where to spend money on something random, no one would do that
Coolpokemon1621 but why only in custom it will be great to creat robots but ill be useles cuz your not getting points and level points oh never mind freejam already ruined that
i used to think the early version of robocraft was way better because it was easier to get loot. But after watching this amazing video i'm starting to think this version of robocraft isn't that bad. Great Vid!!
about time somebody shares my opinion about the game's progression Thank you so much space for being honest on the matter and supporting this game through these times of blindness to those who don't see the light of fairness and balance between players and the game for this we will always support you
didnt like it at first thought it was to cartoony, cant get off of it now so much strategy similar to a 5v5 on league of legends.... coming from a veteran since tiered blocks
Now I remember why I stopped playing back in the older version of RC. You see, I'm actually came from a game called World of Tanks(WoT). At the time, I was searching for a fun vehicular game since I got bored with a competitive gameplay offered by WoT. Long story short, I found RC from a random TH-cam channel. So I start registering, download it, and play. A few hours later, I quit from the game. There are two reasons why I quit back then: 1. Tier system doesn't make any sense Coming from WoT, I thought RC will give me a freedom on building my very own vehicle... until I find out there's also a tech tree in this game. I have nothing against tech tree since in WoT they also have it. Now, in WoT, each tier progression will unlock a new tank that can be upgraded by playing. RC on the other hand, forced you to get trough the grind to unlock a different block which didn't have much different in form but has a different in terms of stats. Another thing is that it limits the build that I can make thanks to that limitation. 2. Seal clubber This evil creatures also exists in WoT if you play tier I back then. But, the only advantage they had was knowledge of the tanks on that tier and upgrades that doesn't change much about the tank. However, in RC, seal clubber will trample over the newbies by one-shotting everyone on the opposite team. I was one of the victims from that problem. This made RC fail to gain more players since the newbies mostly get tortured by the more experienced players. Luckily, both games managed to fix this problem in their own ways. And so I quit. Until last year, when I got an email from RC to go back play the game. I believe Sprinter legs just got into the game. That was RC second chance to impress me. Now, here I am, still thinking the next cool thing that I could build and show it off on CRF.
I used to play world of tanks, but then I reached tiers 4-5 and was against tiers 7-8. I quit then, as it was no fun having impenetrable gods on the other team. Btw, I was not a scout, I was a heavy tank and was in a party with an artillery of the same rank.
Multigamer 99 You should try to aim for the weakspot. I learned that the hard way, too. But I already get used to it and turn my tier 5 tanks into money maker these days. Now, I'm stuck with a tier 8 Heavy and tier 9 Light for being lazy on grinding (lol). Btw, they made so many changes too on WoT. You may or may not want to check it out.
Shikay Hawken I used to play the fak out of the game, having 12k games and being in the top 5% recent wn8s but I got burnt out as I looked up too much and made my life Wot, I will play it occasionally but I loved the way the game functions. it and another game I love called toribash are super steep learning curve games I would recommend if you are willing to stick out the curve
you should quit playing WoT too. completely p2w, much more worst, i reccomend you getting war thunder it was like the 3 Wo games collide, (world of tanks, world of warships, world of warplanes) and the good thing is its F2P and can be P2P but atleast it wasnt p2w.
War Thunder isn't really my thing. Yeah, the game is good and all and I'm fine with it. The problem is that the game is being too realistic for me and it doesn't really appeal to me at this point (especially after tightening of battle rating, it's get worse). Also, while WoT is P2W, that doesn't always mean I couldn't bring some despair to them. P2W or not, as a Light Tank driver, I'm just gonna let people do the hardwork.
I've played Robocraft since the 1sr release on their site... i did not get anything for that... every t10 block of mine was removed, every weapon of t10 was removed... the sweet 12 089 hours spent playing ON THE FIRST LAUNCHER that i still have installed were the best hours of my life... freejam ruined the game press v+6 to recti... pay respects
I joined Robocraft late 2014, I always had fun even notice I didn't have any other friends who played it. Whilst it has and had problems, it never failed to be fun and make me happy. I like it because even notice I've always been "noobish" at it, it makes you feel like a pro.
One point I'd like to refute, you can't pay to get all the top stuff of the tech tree and instantly seal club. It would take you several months of experimentation to learn how to build a robot that could actually hold up against the higher tier pros.
Maybe, its because change is inevitable, and we should see the good and the bad of those changes for EVERYONE involved. Or maybe its Maybaleene (that hair care brand) [You know the joke...]
I posted a detail discussion on his pros and con for robocraft 2014 and his mostly pros of robocraft of 2017. And it has not posted. So can I ask what is going on with that?
I didn't like the tiers or the pilot seat, but the constant fire of smgs, volley of plasma, rails that had to recharge, and Nanos actually doing damage and healing was great. Crates were better than RP and GC because you can actually have a chance of getting Carbon 6 and other rarer parts without needing to pay for it in GC. Having the regeneration thing is great, but having to pay to unlock the back row of items is silly, otherwise to me, Robocraft is still decent, but has been declining for a bit now.
I didnt like the tiers, the pilot seat, and that you needed to pay real money for some of the stuff (cosmetics amirite), the old smg fire is still in game.. except its on everything, and the new regen thing helps so much when you have an incompetent medic or no medic at all
Its a personal taste but when you can see that TONS of veterans are hating on the "new"Robocraft soo the developers had to do something wrong.Even i quit the game after these updates. Now it's just this Farm-get box-hope for good stuff-get crap-repeat.
before u had to do something to get better weapons, i loved robocraft until they removed the fun stuff, megabots the gamemode where there was two megas no lives. now you can buy crates and get legendary guns and shit, in low rank. before could buy GC but yhou still yhad to earn a syhit ton of TP to upgrade tyhen to uber points.
The cosmetic thing. that was the fun thing, wasting money on cosmetics was some of the fun almost noone had it and they who had it could feel like a famous guy since everyone commented stuff and always looked at you(WANTED TO TAKE A PICTURE)
Robocraft for me 2013-2016 2014 was the best gaming time in my life i was so happy and then i got bored and i realy wanted to play ROBOCRAFT again but.... but it wasn't ROBOCRAFT it was wrong and i loved the time when there was only 1 type of cube 3 maps and 1 type of wapon. I loved the megabots the cool designs the big art bots and beeing op in low tier games. Frejam took everything i love about Robocraft i don't know what happend and who is the boss now at the studio but i know 1 thing this game is not Robocraft for me anymore. 😭 what a time i lived in and now .....

(say the month and year) (7points) 8- Was robocraft always free to play? (8points) 9- What is robocrafts' slogan? (9points) 10- What was the update that caused many players to quit the game? (10points) *The total is 55 points, comment your answers and i'll tell you your score! Good luck!*
1 Thrusters 2 Lasers/SMG's 3 1750 4 Diamond 5 Deathmatch 6 Honestly yes and no, it depends how you make it and how you use it. There isn't an exact "answer" but if you made a decent bot id say they'd work pretty well together. 7 March of 2013 8 Yes. 9 Build. Drive. Fight. 10 Epic Loot
Once i was playing a game of robocraft. Then, the enemies shoot all our crystals down; except one. We kept on fighting. Out of a stroke of luck, we won. With one crystal left.
Thanks for putting that in perspective, I came back about a month back, but explain to me, the pilot seat? Was it so that unskilled builders could enjoy it to? Isn't why there was a shop? Eh well.
Thank you for making this. Salty vets need to back off. I've played this game since just after Steam release and I've loved it ever since. Sure, there are bad updates and sure there are massive changes, but heck, you signed up for an early access game. What did you think that meant?
wildmonkeycar I respect you for being a veteran (or atleast an early release player) who is not bitching about the updates. Sure, it must have been felt bad for the ones who grinded so long to get armor cubes and other stuff that late got removed. But complaining about an early - access game (which is getting better and better, robits are now in crates and movement parts have been buffed) that is still getting updates and is slowly, but surely improving is not going to make Freejam to convince to bring these things back. My comment may be unoriginal because I basically said the same, but I am happy that there are Robocraft players who are calm about the changes and just wait to see how the game will turn out. (I am positive that it is going to turn out great) Btw, I am a 2017 player and haven't experienced Robocraft in it's "Golden era" but I have experienced a great game with which I am in love with. Tl;dr: I salute you for being a veteran who is not non-stop complaining about the updates under every video. And People have to wait.
i'm a 2015 player and i know those stupid veterans the game is now so much better now plus now there is paint so we don't need to progress through out the entire tech tree just to get different colors
The poor Hard Disk Drive Pilot since late 2013. The game has come a long way. Back when I joined, there were 3 weapon types, less than half the movement types we have today (can't remember the exact number), and nano-medics were merely a dream. There was no test mode, and the only game mode we had was what we call Elimination, today. BTW, the game is still in early access. It just hit beta earlier this year, in fact. Contrary to popular belief, the devs are taking their time to sculpt this game into a masterpiece.
wildmonkeycar yes, as a veteran of the game, i agree on most of the things you said. But the main reason people are still salty is not just nostalgia. It was that something that was near perfect and only needed a few small updates to fix things like overtiering or speed tricks, not to wipe the whole game clean and slowly start over. Essentially, what was a lot of fun to a lot of people was completely changed, and replaced by something different, which most of them found not as fun as it used to be.
Low Flyer Change can be jarring, and wiping the slate clean is always a crazy experience, but I hated the tier system. So what if we lose progression and gain freedom of will? But yes, I understood what you meant. I wish they'd bring back a few of the old features, like air battles in elimination mode and boss battles.
In my opinion crf was the first step in the wrong direction, the pilot seat removal was a compleatly shit decision and the crates are pure bullshit and i think i have the right to say this, becuse i have played the game before it hit steam, heck i played on that glorius evening (in germany) the railguns dropped, i LOVED the game back in these days, i still play it today, but is still not the same, i even bought some rp and i am still VERY mad at freejam because i did not get A SINGLE CRATE when they removed rp
what gets me the most is when warp flying was around i didnt know about it and when i found out they had already capped the fall speed to slow as so i never as someone that loves flying got to experience warp flying it destroys me missing my shot at it
I'm a vet from 2014, and I still love Robocraft. I do have nostalgia, but only for a few small things. It's nice to see someone standing up to the salty vets.
I was already tier 10 when all those changes started so the only thing I'm sad about is the weird hover-like plane handling that restrains roll. It makes planes so much less enjoyable to me.
how can u say that the new robocraft is better?!?!?!? i am playing this game before rise of the walkers update, and i am telling u that u are totally wrong! the game was better in the past, there was no stupid aeroflak or loml or other stupid modules and weapons! the game was perfect in the past with tiers for nearly everything, and the overpowered satellites, with megabots tat were the center of attention, with no auto heal, with pilot seat. The game was perfect. I am still playing robocraft but i am so sad seeing the old and good robocraft is disappearing, new players don`t even know how it was to pay rp to repair your robot after battle, to protect your pilot seat as much as possible, the game was better than now! Thanks to anyone that read this comment.I am playing in hope that someday, robocraft will remove those new and stupid updates.
The game is far better in the gameplay because it requires skill now, there is more theorycraft and a lot lot more of counter play and diversity. Calm down your nostalgia
sounds like someone didn't like the loml while playing flying bots ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), but tbh flying bots are a challenge now, cause you really need to position and evade all of the incoming anti air projectile, i makes flying bots more intense, the old flying bot were just kinda meh to me
I personally dislike the crates because it feels like, no matter the work i put in, I have so little control over what I get, like i *could* try my hardest to top score and get a protonium, or i could get something better from a silver or even bronze based on how lucky I am.
I played since Jan. 5 2015, and I also think Robocraft's current state is better. Sure, there's no megabots, but the game still plays well and I will continue to play it until artbots are stone dead.
they are stone dead. always have been. unless you count the super tri-forced helicopters or insects "artbots," in which case, you should really revise your understanding of what an artbot is.
What I dislike most about the game is the factory shop. I dislike that I build a robot with my own experience n knowledge n get to fight someone who just paid to get an OP king-of-all setup. I want to see people's unique robots, not fight a FOTM robot.
Ohhh thanks for informing me, I was confused since the steam charts are at a all time low and keep getting lower every update. But I'm glad you informed me it's getting better dispite this
The thing that most affected my opinion on robocraft is the loot crate update and the removal of kills. I used to love it before then and I had 950 hours on it
Crossout is wayyy too payn2 win. Getting legendaries there is impossible without A: grinding for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours. B: paying.
Started playing with the tank track update, and I cannot help but disagree with you Space Kryptonite. The post 2015 Robocraft is not better. It is an unbalanced, drone infested nightmare, it is boring and pointless. Custom matches are useless when you are not someone who is playing with friends. Veterans like me feel like strangers when playing, and I feel cheated by FJ. I won't stop until we are back to the 2014 to early 2015 state of the game. Period.
Good news, robocraft is thinking about bringing the old progression system back and the normal wing controlls and the tech tree i hope to come baack to my lvl 86 account
I have never played the old Robocraft before, but the idea of the pilot seat and tech tree is appealing to me. The pilot seat will challenge player building ability while the tech tree will allow players to actually play the game for their desired parts. Adding the tech tree would be near impossible because players already have high tier weapons that they either got from crates or earned with Robits. However, I do think that the pilot seat would be a great way to broaden the player’s creativity and building skills when creating their robot (to make use of the pilot seat without disrupting the builds people already make, they should at least give cray and gene an added bonus to your bot). Also, maybe Robocraft could add peaceful artbot servers to have players show off their art builds and have fun showcasing them. This would allow people to have two choices: to build a war machine and fight, or to create an artistic master piece and show off your creativity.
I'm a veteran. I launched the game after 2 years not playing or checking on the game (and without this, i first played 5 years ago). I had a slow, maniable, heavy, resistant "wall". Now it's way too fast, uncontrollable, light, and not resistent at all. I also had an helicopter with "tier 3 helicopter rotors", that was barely able to fly on it's own without thrusters and helium, now, with tier 2 helicopter rotors, it can fly without any kind of problem (exept stability maybe). The interface? Abominable. The inventory? If you researched the block, the block is free. I've passed all theses minutes, all theses hours, all theses days, all theses months, all my precious time on this game, all 400 hours, one of the game I played the most on steam... *For everything to be free, and the "ingame money" to not be usefull anymore, exept in making your own vehicule bigger.* Robocraft adapted to the hype with the crates, and now adapts to the hype with fortnite, by making everything free and including a robopass. The proof it adapts with the hype? Crates are no more.
Yup, that sums up my experience, opened the hangar once only to notice my tech-tree was not there, my currency supposed to give me a great new weapon was gone with the weapon and the armor I slowly extended and upgraded now was an expensive paint-job. I still wanted to play with my friend and don't care like always before but everyone just shot each other on the ground with ant-air and at that point I needed some more memory space anyway.
*................................................ intensifies*
yes the maps were huge and it was fun also i lost all my progess since i didnt play for 2 years anymore but now when i started i lost it all :/ i still like the game
"i wish i can turn back time... to the good old days.... :
Remember Tier 1-10? And no crates?
Edward Gougelmann yes I just go in to tier 5 when the update hit. I lost everything
Edward Gougelmann ooh ooh I member!
josh brown I just finished grinding my megabot and grinding out tx1 cubes and felt good, never got to play it or use my tx1 bricks cause they removed the mrgabots. then I play later grinding assloads of teir 10 cubes feeling good, and they squash armor. the game totally ruined me cause I had wasted so much time on stuff that was never to be that I just can't play it anymore and have a deep resentment for it, scared to work on the next project. the satisfaction I got from getting these things was great, but the fall was so much greater...
jared schroeder 😭🤧
I fell u bro
"artist can build what they want with colors" you got to pay for them
"there is no OP weapon in the game that you can go out and get a kill every match" shotguns and they cost and arm and a leg
The reason veterans are pissed is not because the game is changing its cause i spent hours getting to rank 10 building the best bot THEN having my rank 10 cubes be worth the same as a rank 1 and pretty much whip my account and throw me into a different game with less money than a new player... not only that but you can have an amazing match and get fuck all from it there is no progress just mindless grinding which may or may not go in your favor? so give me a helmet and a pick axe cause i am going to live in that salt mine and remain salty about being reduced to nothing
(its like waking up one day in a field to find out all your lifes work has just vanished)
i had the perfect t-10 hover, a megabot and the entire tech-tree unlocked.
600+ hours and about 20million credits worth of stuff gone up in smoke.
I just unlocked the mega seat exited what could i build but the werry next morning it was all gone
And then weapon energy killed then medic job as sson as it arrived
The problem i have with the new robocraft is that i find it basically impossible to get the parts i need to build my bot and it feels extremely cheap to use smaller paarts, i also hate the cpu damage boost thing.
say what you want, but I miss old Robocraft so much :,(
Carl Sagan You signed up for an early access game. What did you expect? Change is literally guaranteed if you join during Alpha.
wildmonkeycar we didn't see that bullshit coming
And also stfu with your shit veterans know the game better
Either deal w/ it or get out, it ain't gettin changed. We don't need your extra salt
OMG Carl Sagan ?
Carl Sagan same
I think Freejam should have another game that is based heavily on the old robocraft to keep the old, salty players happy, and continue updating the current one
everyone has moved to crossout
Ayy Lmao you meen noone? Its a lot more pay2progres than robocraft
You know I can say that robocraft is degradating just because if you look at game modes now it has only 5 player teams. 5 players is nothing.
a few tears ran down my face......we all will miss you, old robocraft.
crybaby
SuperHydrow shut up kid you play fucking roblox you're 10
@Rooftop
lol i was just joking, and just because i play roblox i am 10?
Good logic dude, flawless. Impeccable fucking logic dude xD
th-cam.com/video/nQtBnKq_gEw/w-d-xo.html 11 Lol
@Rooftop since when did this have anything to do with my videos? I called him a crybaby as a joke because of the "a few tears ran down my face" comment. And then you take it way too seriously and start talking about my videos... Stay on topic, jeez.
"didnt hit the public eyes until it got on steam"
this sentence makes me feel old for playing before that
Starwars8539 lol you should feel blessed xD
gr8 b8 m8. :P Seriously though, great video, beat me to it, but hey, not I can focus on other videos, lol, or maybe I'll talk about my thoughts on the matter someday, idk.
👍👍👏👏
Hi soul :3
LeFoffer hello there.
The Awesome Soul hi , how are you?
Edragon13 that's pretty much the story I have too :3
I like how you say about how you used to have to either grind or pay for colours as if it were worse than it is now... when we have to pay for good colours and grinding isn't an option.
I was very happy even when i didn't reach that TX1, my max was Tier 10 , Before was robocraft my favourite game but now....
Proof, they got the tier back
And I was there before "The rise of the walkers" I was there grinding so hard for 4 legs and to be able to hang upside down.
I think freejam should make a robocraft 2 where it's like the 2014 - 15 versions also I have played since 2014 and I don't like the new age of robocraft
that would be a good idea that would stop veterans from ripping their pants :D
Robocraft classic
I feel like Rosefall should be the new CEO
#Tears4Tiers
Jayportal #tiers4teslas
u wot
#Tears4Tiers
I didn't like tires... but I miss them now..
tiers are back.
Not to mention the absolutely terrible community managment ever since they crushed the souls of any enthusiastic grinder by removing all the progression.
them again overtiering happened with newer players, and they didnt know shit
Artbots were not something people cared about. *M A X I M U M* *O V E R K E K*
E_M_E_T "Team management". I forgot the old Robocraft had pay to win platoons. Darn me 😂
>flaks and modules
Is someone getting emp'd too much or did you prey run away using blink?
Also, its so obvious you were a drone player since you mentioned Aeroflak and not protoseekers and loml.
dude remember auto balance . last time my team has no nano but the enemy team is full of nano , other weapon and 1 clan then i lose --" my real issue is auto balance
"new robocraft is greater", did i hear "give me a down vote"?
That's the Sky Plough Aavak used a long time ago (memories...)
FireSkull I used to wait a hour before he posted vids just so I can see first hand what he would build today and what I could learn from him to put in my builds
Ah the good old days :)
Old plasmas [*]
Are better ;(
Just give a fixed amount of robits for points earned in matches and almost all the people that quit will be back in a matter of days
AYY 2003119 Doubtful. People quit because they don't like change. They don't care about what drops after each match, and they certainly won't listen to logic and reason. It's the curse of saltiness.
wildmonkeycar m8 the onlu reason i stopped playing was because you dont get money after a game
Meme Machine You know they added that back in the form of Robits in drops?
The boxes give money now ._.
+Xeno killer_Xx
YES BUT IT'S STILL FUCKING RANDOM
I´m one of the veterans that played since the beginning. - and even after all you said, i still think old robocraft was way better. sry.
Still robocraft was better back in 2014
the robocraft youtubers are scared to say that it was better otherwise they'll get raped
Best Robocraft was late 2013-early 2014...I have fcking water around my eyes, I think it is raining...nope, those are tears. I used to spend huge amounts of money on ingame currency, especially on those slots for robots, to have as many creations as possible. No regrets!
I played since 2014, i was like "AWW SWEET" but not so much anymore. I dont play it as much anymore but I still think its quite good
FINALLY someone speaks out about this! Thanks Space, you're the man!
EDIT: ay i got pinned! :D
LeFoffer Loved, not pinned :)
However, the veterans have to admit that everyone was using a plasma aircraft. Not that much fun for ground units (even tank tracks and mech legs didn't exist).
Elotube as a x- robocraft player we had tank tracks when tiers were still there, heck even mega bots were still around. God I miss those days... 😔
Make Pilot Seats Great Again!
They should make a legacy version for old players
well their new uptade is turning things good agin
hope they bring back tier-system and tiered blocks.
and they also need to repair the insect legs.
cant stick to a wall even with 100 legs put on a single row of blocks. -_-
THE OLD ONE WAS WAY BETTER!!!
* Sees title *
Me: Exactly
Nicely done mate. I'm glad you presented the flip side of the salt. The nostalgiacraft is real.
I used to have tons of Megas but I never used them, they just weren't fun to play under those circumstances. And I can definitely do more artbot stuff than i could then.
Thanks for addressing the haters.
you should do a follow up video.Maybe your thoughts on what was good about the old days and how best to integrate that with what we have today.
Also:
Still living this ruined life? make a video that :P
go the the evolve foerm and wight night thare m8 ur low iq pr fact attutd wud fit in well
bcbc2425 is definitely a troll.
Aw, come on! He didn't even cover the absolute cancer known as missiles! THAT is where most of my hate of the game comes from!
bring tiers and a tech tree back, make crates a completely separate thing people can buy with real money.
4-5 T5 stars? and crates wouldnt work as a thing people would buy, cause if they where to spend money on something random, no one would do that
nobody wants them to come back though
Gio Barcarolo you got 4-5 tech points a game
what I'm trying to say is that you needed a lot of stars to get something decent
just bring tiers back and I will be happy
What bot did forged use? 12:20
Pfft 2014 noob. I played during 2013
do you think freejam will return the megabots?
AS games They are coming back, but only in custom games
Coolpokemon1621 but why only in custom it will be great to creat robots but ill be useles cuz your not getting points and level points oh never mind freejam already ruined that
AS games Read the patchnotes before having that stupid conclussion...
I miss old robocraft :(
And i can talk to you, old robocraft is better :) I play it from 2013 :)
same. wish we could go back I really enjoyed the simplistic weapon I really hate the new weapons such as the lock on flak cannons and miniguns.
1:20 wut? I was playing closed alpha in 2012 and game was open in middle of 2013
i used to think the early version of robocraft was way better because it was easier to get loot. But after watching this amazing video i'm starting to think this version of robocraft isn't that bad. Great Vid!!
Weapon energy was added and it killed medics
How can you get them to fix robocraft and bring back tiers and cockpits and armor
about time somebody shares my opinion about the game's progression Thank you so much space for being honest on the matter and supporting this game through these times of blindness to those who don't see the light of fairness and balance between players and the game for this we will always support you
I loved this game! Why did they remove add funds feature? I mean I kinda understand but still. :(
didnt like it at first thought it was to cartoony, cant get off of it now so much strategy similar to a 5v5 on league of legends.... coming from a veteran since tiered blocks
Not gonna mention the smg reskin?
Now I remember why I stopped playing back in the older version of RC.
You see, I'm actually came from a game called World of Tanks(WoT). At the time, I was searching for a fun vehicular game since I got bored with a competitive gameplay offered by WoT. Long story short, I found RC from a random TH-cam channel. So I start registering, download it, and play. A few hours later, I quit from the game.
There are two reasons why I quit back then:
1. Tier system doesn't make any sense
Coming from WoT, I thought RC will give me a freedom on building my very own vehicle... until I find out there's also a tech tree in this game.
2. Seal clubber
This evil creatures also exists in WoT if you play tier I back then.
"nanos are being reworked" no... just no...
they still suck ass
nanos were one of the best parts of the game..
I was a god tiered medic with them. Then weapon energy happened
I've played Robocraft since the 1sr release on their site... i did not get anything for that... every t10 block of mine was removed, every weapon of t10 was removed... the sweet 12 089 hours spent playing ON THE FIRST LAUNCHER that i still have installed were the best hours of my life... freejam ruined the game press v+6 to recti... pay respects
i lost about 20million credits and my perfect t-10 hover is trash now.
600 hours for nothing.
I joined Robocraft late 2014, I always had fun even notice I didn't have any other friends who played it. Whilst it has and had problems, it never failed to be fun and make me happy. I like it because even notice I've always been "noobish" at it, it makes you feel like a pro.
what's funny to me is they were so horrible at making a good matchmaking system they removed it to save themselves the effort of making it good
One point I'd like to refute, you can't pay to get all the top stuff of the tech tree and instantly seal club. It would take you several months of experimentation to learn how to build a robot that could actually hold up against the higher tier pros.
I loved old
old times , good times :,)
Maybe, its because change is inevitable, and we should see the good and the bad of those changes for EVERYONE involved.
Or maybe its Maybaleene (that hair care brand) [You know the joke...]
I posted a detail discussion on his pros and con for robocraft 2014 and his mostly pros of robocraft of 2017. And it has not posted. So can I ask what is going on with that?
Double Deeze TH-cam places long paragraph comments into the spam list due to the amount of text. I have approved it so it should be up now.
^^oops just realized that comment might make it into spam too
Double Deeze Yeah. Current state of the game has changed a lot and I feel ya. Even I avoid playing it at times like this
I was trying to edit my response and accidentally deleted it.
Gio Barcarolo I ment no energy/power, so you can shoot the smg forever.
before u had to do something to get better weapons, i loved robocraft until they removed the fun stuff, megabots the gamemode where there was two megas no lives.
now you can buy crates and get legendary guns and shit, in low rank. before could buy GC but yhou still yhad to earn a syhit ton of TP to upgrade tyhen to uber points.
The cosmetic thing. that was the fun thing, wasting money on cosmetics was some of the fun almost noone had it and they who had it could feel like a famous guy since everyone commented stuff and always looked at you(WANTED TO TAKE A PICTURE)
I wish they would add something like classic mode, seats, basic weapons no legendarys or modules and an robit reward for winning.
I play RC since release and I must admit the newer version gives you way more freedom and experimentation.
Robocraft for me
2013-2016
2014 was the best gaming time in my life i was so happy and then i got bored and i realy wanted to play ROBOCRAFT again
but.... but it wasn't ROBOCRAFT
it was wrong and i loved the time when there was only 1 type of cube 3 maps and 1 type of wapon.
I loved the megabots the cool designs the big art bots and beeing op in low tier games.
Frejam took everything i love about Robocraft
i don't know what happend and who is the
boss now at the studio but i know 1 thing
this game is not Robocraft for me anymore.
😭 what a time i lived in and now .....
nix mix completely same) i remember these good times...
Now it is gone(
we need to make robocraft great again like this comment if u agree
Digna Rayhan but its greater then before (played since there was no weapons)

4 Diamond
5 Deathmatch
6 Honestly yes and no, it depends how you make it and how you use it. There isn't an exact "answer" but if you made a decent bot id say they'd work pretty well together.
7 March of 2013
8 Yes.
9 Build. Drive. Fight.
10 Epic Loot
Matthewlet L I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you got them all correct. Gj
We play it to play with TH-camrs :P #SaltMines
na i just play it
Kill is a big poopy butt
Once i was playing a game of robocraft. Then, the enemies shoot all our crystals down; except one. We kept on fighting. Out of a stroke of luck, we won. With one crystal left.
I think robocraft is fine, though it's a shame megabots got removed
Erik Smit Removed to be fixed. It is coming back tho
SpaceKryptonite source
I know it was in one of the Dev jams but I don't know which one, I think they said something about adding them back in with custom games
Meme Machine Here you go. Read the part about Mk 3 robocraftgame.com/dev-jam-8-simmons-on-custom-games/
Dude, megabots might just comeback!!!!
The players and the developers need to have a huge discussion about reviving robotcraft
the game is not ruined for me but i dont like when 1900CPU robots fight with a 500cpu robots!
What did you think that meant?
wildmonkeycar
I respect you for being a veteran (or atleast an early release player) who is not bitching about the updates.
(I am positive that it is going to turn out great)
Btw, I am a 2017 player and haven't experienced Robocraft in it's "Golden era" but I have experienced a great game with which I am in love with.
As a LOML user I will share the number one secret to my success.
I only fire at people who are running away because missiles rarely miss that way.
What about the comeback of tiers? I ended up fighting with laser wasps against Plasma Goliathon..
12:28 dislike, unsub, report.
I had to sub so I could unsub.
what gets me the most is when warp flying was around i didnt know about it and when i found out they had already capped the fall speed to slow as so i never as someone that loves flying got to experience warp flying it destroys me missing my shot at it
Oh how i miss the old times of this game ;(
I'm a vet from 2014, and I still love Robocraft. I do have nostalgia, but only for a few small things. It's nice to see someone standing up to the salty vets.
I played it from 2014 this game is ruined :( i wanna be now in 2014 year! not in this :(((
Stupid cases!
Sky watch video again and listen
Uhm... really? No autoheal? You do realize that that shit alone could make current players quit, right?
The game is far better in the gameplay because it requires skill now, there is more theorycraft and a lot lot more of counter play and diversity. Calm down your nostalgia
sounds like someone didn't like the loml while playing flying bots ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), but tbh flying bots are a challenge now, cause you really need to position and evade all of the incoming anti air projectile, i makes flying bots more intense, the old flying bot were just kinda meh to me
A good pilot or a good robot makes LOML completely useless tbh. Fast aircrafts alone like drones laugh at LOML and aeroflak because they move so fast.
E_M_E_T indeed.
You clearly have never seen Robocraft Garage, then. Likewise.
You clearly you didn't saw what Robocraft used to be in 2013-2014, that was the golden age of this game.
1 year later on this same day I ask do you still think this game deserves the praise?
yes. ruined game. im from robocraft 2013
Did you watch the entire video at least?
I do not need it, I still play only because although it's ruined is the only game of this "genre"
you know megabots are back right...
and planes are reworked :3
@@RelihSchneider Ahem...CrossOut my man, its much better than RoboFuck these days. I highly recommend it!
How long do you have to have played this game to be considered a veteran? I was playing since long before insect legs were added.
I quit playing around the time they took our tiers away! Now I only have tears of sorrow. #RIPcraft
What I dislike most about the game is the factory shop. I dislike that I build a robot with my own experience n knowledge n get to fight someone who just paid to get an OP king-of-all setup. I want to see people's unique robots, not fight a FOTM robot.
most bots in the shop are copy/paste of the standart models you can prebuild from the "create bot" menue.
creativity in this game is dead.
i love the new rc. ita a way better game than most f2p games and has a lot of comunnity feedback
i have been playing since megabots. now that megas are removed the gameplay is free-er and more creative
Ive been playing since the adition of plasma on 2014, and the newer version of the game is way, way better them it was
Tijn Hollanders i quit RC i think almost a year ago. i started it when Walker legs where in the game for a bit. idk if i should come back or not
Androxus The Godslayer you should try,if yoh dont like it, thats fine too
mostly negative feedback XD
Damn that was 7 years ago already?
robocraft is not rueined it is getting better and it is true 😄👍
machine core500 no man...
machine core500 No its turning to fucking garbage with every update Trying so hard and ignorant to get new players Its just sad
Black space Why you do this
Ohhh thanks for informing me, I was confused since the steam charts are at a all time low and keep getting lower every update. But I'm glad you informed me it's getting better dispite this
The thing that most affected my opinion on robocraft is the loot crate update and the removal of kills. I used to love it before then and I had 950 hours on it
Instead of watching this just download crossout It's better than robo n everyone's moving here
SSJBrolyRobocraft I will once my internet come back on
SSJBrolyShow facts 😂💯
AManNamed2 u right but I changed my mine I like TiVo craft better now after a few debates wit sum ppl
Period.
when did the radars and radar jammers get deleted?
*For everything to be free, and the "ingame money" to not be usefull anymore, exept in making your own vehicule bigger.*
Robocraft adapted to the hype with the crates, and now adapts to the hype with fortnite, by making everything free and including a robopass.
I still wanted to play with my friend and don't care like always before but everyone just shot each other on the ground with ant-air and at that point I needed some more memory space anyway.
i wonde wat will robocraft be like when its finished
