@@vrvisionaustralia yes will show 5 amps and battery symbol not flashing meaning using 5 amps but if battery symbol showing lights chasing ,will mean charging . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Another interesting video on an alternative to the higher end brands. Just a question on the set up. I have a Renogy unit and for the unit to accurately meter percentage state of charge, the battery needs to be completely charged (set 100%) or completely discharged (set 0%). From what you have shown, you can calibrate at any point of state of charge. Am I interpreting correctly?
Hey Fred I have a renogy unit in my hiace van and I only set to 100% when batteries were fully charged and I haven’t put any of the voltage in the settings of the renogy and it seems to work fairly good 👍🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF Thanks for follow up. I think in the case of the Renogy unit, the voltage settings are used to give an alarm when you hit a nominated high or low voltage. Probably more important when you are using a non lithium battery. Look forward to next vid. 👍
Thanks Dino, that looks pretty cool, I wish they were a bit cheaper though, oh well I'll just have to save longer that's all haha. Seeya Rob, you and your family take care, stay safe mate.
Fair review, yeah the contrast of the cursor is terrible for setting up & I do like a BT alternative as well. Another consideration for anyone going lithium with a 3000W inverter is that you would need a 500A shunt & this is only a 200A shunt, so will only work up to 2400W, but probably a decent lower end shunt.
i watched a review of an Atem Battery that comes with this shunt. The inside of the battery turned into Marshmallow I guess the Reviewer was drawing high current longer than he should. The shunt looks ok except for the hard to see numbers when you are programming.
The screen on the unit will shut off once no power running and will not consume any power . No need to turn off. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🍻
Thanks for the review!
If say 10amps of charge was going in and there was a load of 15amps, does it show a - sign? (-5amps)

How do you turn it off? if you parking your car long term?

I see that the shielded wire is a bit short at only 3m. Using it in my RV wouldn't work.
thanks for watching 👍🍻
Do you ever consider selling your review items if you don't use them?
I use the items I review.. thanks for watching 👍🍻
As clear as mud 😅
