    I appreciate your reviews because they are methodical and thorough. You do not assume your viewers know anything. Examples, comment on the wrench, the differences between lead acid and lithium voltage interpretations, the comments on illumination of the screen... generally, your spontaneous comments as you go along... even as kitty jumps on the bench. And I have only just started watching the video! My observations are that your reviews are honest as are your concluding opinion.

    I don't know...if they can't spell 'battery' correctly, I'd be a little leery about the quality of the entire unit. I'm in the process of figuring out which battery monitor to go with myself, so these videos are very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to do a thorough review.

      You're welcome. BTW I think they fixed the misspelling. But yeah It does raise concern 😅

    That piece of plastic. As long as it's polycarbonate, it will take the impact. Polycarbonate is very flexible

    Hey man, I really appreciate your video. If it wasn’t for your video, I wouldn’t know what was wrong. My amps had a positive when should have negative on the display, but you said in your video that even if you hook the shunt up backwards, you would have a positive amp. Mine had positive, but I actually had hooked the shunt up correctly, so all I did was flip the shunt around and everything started working properly. I think maybe at the factory they stamped it wrong anyway it’s working great now. Thanks again.

    They fixed the misspelled BATTEY... My new one says "BATTERY". The bolt connections are fine for the current

      Great. It's a really nice unit, screen is very easy to read.

    It looks nice, and seems to operate accordingly... but an $80 price tag for a never heard of manufacturer AND it does not have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi capabilities. Spend $120 get a Victron smart shunt (BT, phone app, brand name, quality), or spend $65 to get Junctek shunt (BT, phone app). This shunt is on par with the single point monitors like Qwork and Aili ($40-60). All seem to be good options, but price point is an important factor for most.

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I fully agree with you. The price needs to be closer to $50. Over that it needs to have BT, like you said.

      @@jbear6947 The thing is pretty decent quality, yet that in-your-face misspelling. I love Victron stuff. I just got a 150/85 mppt, after experiencing that, now I just want all Victron. 😀

    Not bad, I wish this and others showed a visible up or down arow with respect to draw though. My Renogy does this and it makes it a lot easier to glans at quickly while your driving. I did notice the little lightning bolt turns from blue to green when it detects a charge but I wish it were more bold.

    Any idea what would prevent this LNEX shunt from register 100% when fully charged? I noticed that after a couple days, it drops into the 90% range when not being used, but shows voltage of 14.4v and current in/out as 0amps. As soon as I turn on the inverter, it starts to show current and power usage (net with solar). Any help would be appreciated. Hoping is a setting from the shut that can be adjusted.

    Nice easy to understand video just ordered one.Quick question I notice your hooked up to a 100amp battery an your heater was drawing over 1000w .reason I ask is I've just brought a renogy 170amp lithium..I use a 1500w inverter max device I use is mrs hair dryer power 1300w renogy chart shows 1000w max for the 170amp do you think it will damage the battery when using hair dryer for say around 10 mins .

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The spec for that battery shows 125A continuous. So as long as you have a good charge in it you can pull 1600w. Now you must consider losses through your inverter, which may be 10-20%.
