There is currently a petition started by one of the local photographers looking to change the speed limit on Bayshore Drive. This sure made me want to share it for anyone that wants to sign it!! Feel free to share it as well. UPDATE: Yesterday, when I posted my video the total signatures was just over 3000 on the petition. Today, as of this update 496 signatures have been added for a total of 4329 almost to the goal of 5000!! Let's keep this going everyone and thank you to everyone that is signing and sharing!!! XOXO

I saw that earlier and my heart skipped a beat! Couldn't help but think how many other times when M&F have brought back RK with E in tow lately, but the cams never caught the shot. Thank you Lord that they're alright.💙🙏

That road is extremely dangerous and I’ve heard that there are people who are trying to have signs along this road to make people slow down cause of the Eagles and that there have been a lot of close calls like this one. A couple photographers have something going around to get the speed slowed down by having signs to show that Eagles are there and thet they do tend to fly low and also like this video, go for roadkill. I pray that this Eagle family don’t ever go out into the street again like that cause we surly don’t need another Eagle from this nest to lose its life from stupid fast driving people. The speed limit truly needs to be put much lower to help keep the Eagles safer. God bless and I’m so happy F23 and E23 are safe and thet nothing happened to them too. I don’t usually watch these kinds of videos cause I worry way too much about these Eagles. It could have been something bad but thank God HE was watching over mom and E23. Hi D MorningStar. Nice to hear from you and thank you for making the Petition known for people to sign. It truly is very important for everyone to come together to sign it and help protect our Eagles. I was thinking if someone can send the petition to news channels too all over Florida (including my area) and help spread that all Eagles need to be protected and safe when crossing the street or even standing in the street too. I was watching it live today when it happened! All I could do was gasp! And then a huge sigh of relief when they flew to the nest. Definitely scary. So grateful they’re ok. ♥️🙏🦅

Yes, it seemed very long, maybe the cars slowed down up the road a bit and blocked for her! Sure hope the speed limit will be lowered soon!
This was exactly what I suspected happened for Harriet , Yesterday when mama F23 was in the road it was to long while baby E23 flown trying to meet mom in the middle of the road, seeing both of them both facing in danger ⛔️ my heart dropped , luckily she flew before the baby reached the road. It would be nice all of us sign the petition to have the speed slow down to protect all the animals birds and even people in that area

The danger is real for all wildlife getting anywhere near a roadway, I see the remnants whenever I'm driving around my area, glad both made it safely back to the nest!
They need to make some kind of animal detection light that will stop traffic when any animal is in the road. I’m sure with the technology we have these days something can be done.
That would be great!! if only it was considered of grave importance to the powers that be!

Oh boy! It felt like a eternity that mama was on the road! I had to watch with only one eye...as I covered the other! We do know mama is a stellar flyer...but who knows how fast these cars go? And do they even see the eagles? I will gladly sign the petition! I would also recommend a sign on the road to caution people of flying eagles...to at least make them aware! We have them here...Bear crossing, deer crossing, elk crossing etc...and folks slow down. This had to be difficult to see live! I marvel at your strength my friend in being able to catch this moment...and film for us all!! Praise God all is okay! And thank you for the petition! Much love my friend!!! XOXO♥♥♥

Please 🙏 please do help to save the life of our eagle family members. That was scary seeing F23 on the road! And then E23, tries to meet up with its mom. So glad she took off! E23, not squealing as much for food . Hope no more road kill, cause I'd hate to find out M15's hearty, mate, F23 winds up being road kill her self or both. It wont matter if they put up slow down on that road. The drivers pay no heed. Where I live at, the county put up speed bumps. Not little
ones, but high enough vehicles have to slow down alot if they don't want their suspension destroyed. But they cost $$$$$$. But we have no speeders or roadkill!
