Really well done. The captions are readable but not distracting. The editing is beautifully done and reeks of your love for these eagles. You showed me a story with drama, heroism, love and I'm so glad I got to see it. Thank you.
I've been watching them for a few weeks now. They they are absolutely beautiful ... I'm a nature fan, and I love watching God's beautiful creation... and this one, I get to watch live. Thank you so much for sharing.
@@connietorres1758 I know I'm thinking the same thing... with all the rain and snow...its amazing how they are devoted to the warmth and protection of them... I'm thinking early spring it's not far off... I can't wait to see them hatch
I feel sorry for the juvie. Not an easy stage in a young eagle's life, and the juvie was perhaps happy just to be around other eagles and as @kitkat5765 suggested, maybe get a meal. J&S, however, did not share my human feelings about the wandering juvie. Shadow protected the eggies, and Jackie finally had to resort to some firm lessons to the juvie not to stay in her and Shadow's territory. Thanks for showing us that all's well that ends well, SKH.
Ever vigilant and watchful. Shadow shows us what "keep your head on a swivel" means. He's lying down in the nest facing 12 o'clock and can turn his little head effortlessly to face 6 o'clock. Jackie and Shadow are amazing!
Great camera work!!! We thank you for sharing this amazing wildlife adventure here in our backyard (Cali) millions are watching from around the world this is very exciting!!! 👏⚔️🇺🇸⚔️❤️🦅🦅
Thanks for sharing this, I never saw this live. Love their Raptor communications, such a vocabulary. Jackie & Shadow have the best Eagle real estate & view imo. Surely this year, they will have young, prayers.🙏🏻🙂🏴
A great clip, I've only just discovered the channel, I've duly subscribed. I'm looking forward to what the future brings. Great job with the cams, all the best from Portsmouth, UK
I loved the last minute instruction to Shadow on the eggs. Jackie is a great mom. The juvenile needed to know that he/she was not welcomed at all. FOBBV has the best angles with the cam.
When Juv Eagles fly to a Nest tree with eggs or hatches--they do it for 2 reasons. 1) they follow an adult back to the nest that is carrying a fish of some type of food.(2) It's a previous occupant of this nest as a fledged Eaglet. Because this one did not exhibit the normal expected reaction(of a former nest tenant),rather moved around the basement branches trying to get a 'Recognition' from J & S--it finally understood it wasn't welcome when J became more aggressive and S chimed in to voice his displeasure. It's clear that this Young Eaglet understood it's time here has come and gone, understanding J& S are Current nest yr parents only. Funny thing. As a person, i completely take the former Eaglets belief that it's parents(that nurtured it and gave it life)no longer wanted to visit and find time to spend with it. Nature makes the rules for Parents and instills that message over many generations of Parent Eagles and Awkwardly in fledged Eaglets trying to reconnect with a past life.. Thanks for posting--good Cam footage on what went on under the nest(and above , in the nest).
Shadow showed great restraint during the exchanges. I’m sure he wanted to go help but followed his duty to guard the eggs. This juvie has hung around too long…maybe Jackie got the point across tonight. Hit the road, Jack.
The outside male is hopeful that he has a chance, there may be few mature females, and Jackie is an excellent, mature female. The competitive males won't give up easily on trying to steal her, but her leaving her young is not going to happen. She is vigilant because she knows that if they have a chance, the other males will kill her young. She may have already experienced this, Shadow is learning and seems to be more protective since the hatching.
I was watching live for this! Quite the excitement, and an impressively bold youngster (though perhaps either desperate for food scraps or just plain stupid to keep trying like that with a pair on eggs, smh). I wish the youth well....once they're further away from the nest 😅 A speedy vid, thanks SKH!
They have such patience with the young ones! They aren't a threat, but need a good 'lecture'. "Yeah, if that was my eaglet, I'd want them to be gently chased out, and learn something from it." J&S probably aren't thinking that, but the sentiment is there, whether instinct or parental understanding. ❤️🦅🦅🥚🥚🥚
Spirit 🤍😊❤❤They always seem to treat her.different when I see her just seems the connection is still there.... there was alot with ( little egg) 4 of them..Imagin the three little ones like spirit lol 😁miss her thank you for sharing

Scared the bejesus cracked me up, but Shadow definitely was taken aback...Jackie might have given him one of her sweet little sounds on the way up/in... New here, just a few days, can't stop watching, and when I do, can't wait to get back!!! Thank you!!!!
Nobody wants to mess with broody eagles! Maybe the juvie was one of theirs? Swinging by the ole homestead. 😁 I wish them the best with their trips this year! ❤️ Great captures! Thank you!
Intruder Juvie to Jackie: "But Mom -- don't you remember me??" (Just another day day in the nest tree - enfluffle, kerfuffle, enfluffle, kerfuffle .. . . . )
This is Everything.... I've been in a dark place for a few months since I lost my dad and husband on the same day, and then I found these two...❤❤ Thank you for sharing this. If Only Humans work together like this and protected they're young. And realized half his DNA ,half hers
He is forever messing wirh the sticks lol and you can always tell its jack because he is WAY less sure footed! Lol he takes longer to get on the eggs and he JUMPS off them lol
Thanks for the captions. I’ve been an observer for a few years. Question: Would the juvie attack the eggs like Ravens have done in the past? Was it a true threat? And second question: Does J&S move the eggs around for better incubation? Thanks, again, for allowing us to see such magnificent animals in their natural habitat. 🦅❤
Thanks for watching! I’m an observer like you, so not qualified to speculate on the seriousness of the threat posed by the sub-adult intruder. One can imagine that if the intruder actually entered the nest there could be a danger of egg breakage. I do know, however, that eagles (and other birds) roll the eggs to improve circulation of nesting material, to keep all parts of the egg at the same temperature, and to prevent the developing embryo inside the egg from sticking to the egg shell.
How magnificent the Bald Eagles are, so glad they are our national symbol and are protected. Just truly amazing.

Poor shadow looked stressed sitting in the nest hearing the kerfuffle but not seeing it
Your dialogue on the videos is hilarious!
I’m so attached to these two already, I can only imagine how attached you are.

Shadow isn’t ready to go, but we know who’s in charge 😂. I love them both so much. Thank you for sharing all these wonderful videos.
What beautiful and remarkable birds. A lesson in dedication, companionship, and feathered love.
every time I see videos of these two I’m amazed at how tall their tree is

It seemed like the juvie wanted to be welcomed in, like I'm home!

Could it be ? Spirit ?
oh yes i finally see her curl her claws so they dont hurt the eggs. i love this cam
Thank you so much for this video..Jackie and Shadow are such a dynamic duo❤🦅🦅❤
As soon as Jackie returned and eggs were covered, shadow went out for a couple beers. That was stressful. 🥚🦅😬. 🍿🍻
Shadow showed great restraint during the exchanges. I’m sure he wanted to go help but followed his duty to guard the eggs. This juvie has hung around too long…maybe Jackie got the point across tonight. Hit the road, Jack.

This was great filming and captions. I really enjoyed it!!
These are wonderful to watch. Thank you to everyone at Big Bear for making this possible
This has been so wonderful to follow this feathered family!
Brilliant composition. Thank you.
Spot on editing! Great compilation and storytelling.
I remember watching them when the eggs didn't hatch!!
Now this is great !! Now they'll take care of 3 baby eagles❤😮

Thanks for the video.
Intruder Juvie to Jackie: "But Mom -- don't you remember me??" (Just another day day in the nest tree - enfluffle, kerfuffle, enfluffle, kerfuffle .. . . . )
Could be Spirit -- I've seen eagles get more excited about such a bold intruder, landing just below the nest and right next to Jackie
Even so. Spirit should know better! Maybe come back summertime or when the eggs hatch@@eah8101
Exactly!!
Maybe one of their chicks?
Poor baby. He was lonely and within a gnat’s ass of getting a whoopin’.
❤ so sad the eggs are not going to hatch
Love how they protect each other and their eggs❤
I think this is my all time favorite, great camera work ya'll.
YES! I agree! 🤩
Well, the eggs were kept warm...thats a great babysitter. Beautiful birds.
Really enjoyed this video of Jackie and Shadow ❤❤. APPRECIATE the comments posted during this post...fantastic!!!🥰💞💖
Amazing footage guys! 💖
Excellent composition/editing of footage. Hat's off!
Funny how a few minutes later Jackie looks so calm- Heart rate is probably normal- not a care in the world
Those Eagles are Beautiful, a wonderful gift of God!
So lovely, to watch!! TY!! and Bravo 😍 Jackie & Shadow, a shining example of BE teamwork ✨✨
It's incredible seeing such predators be so gentle and caring to a few eggs. If only humans could learn something from them.
Your typical human is incredibly soft and caring with babies. These comments that compare animals favorably to humans are so childish.
@carsondenny1986 I couldn't agree with you more. The triteness overload becomes tiresome.
They are such an amazing pair!
I just found your amazing channel. Thank you for sharing these precious videos!
It’s an age-old story. Spirit returns home to mum and dad’s. No job, no prospects, doesn’t want to pay rent. Jackie gave him his marching orders. 😂
Yep, and that's what human parents should do as well!
Great video...thanks for sharing
So protective ❤I love it
Great editing…. Thank you for sharing.
Nature is so fantastic.
Is the light added in editing?
Amazing footage. Love the play-by-play narration. Job well done. Thanks much! 💜
Jackie stay safe ❤❤❤❤❤

Beautiful!
My best guess that is Spirit, just wanting some mommy and daddy time!!! I love watching these two tag team. Go Jackie and Shadow!!!
@SK_H "task at talon" 😂 Thanks for your humor with all your videos!
Dang Shad’s head was on a swivel!
Shadow was clearly very worried about Jackie!!!! She’s a tough cookie.
I wonder if it was Spirit!! I am glad Jackie was not too harsh.
Jackie and Shadow portray real love and affection.
I love watching these 2
Wow I wonder what that juvi was thinking, any chance a previous baby?
Since Spirit was not banded, it is not possible to know for sure.
You took the words right out of my mouth!!😂😂 "Move that stick! Thank you!"
Shadow and Jackie are great together. The love they have for each other ❤
i absolutely love the fact that it takes teamwork like this for eagles to survive an successfully raise their young

Wow that was intense and the fact they can turn their heads completely around is amazing
Keep your head on a swivel, shadow❤
I wonder if the Juvenile intruder is a brood from the Azusa Eagles? which currently now have two Eaglets.
I miss living in Big Bear! Hoping Jackie and Shadow have three lovely, healthy chicks!
