I think, it is not very wise to put so much effort and time building something with low quality materials. First get the core of the project right, unless you are just testing an idea.

So peaceful, but I am even more impressed by your design skills. You really do have an eye for it. I notice how you eliminate wasteage by cutting in-situ then using the opposite side to match the angle. It's basic carpentry at its most economical and improvisational. You're an artist, is what I'm saying ! HI from the UK.

I love how you utilize every part of the pallet. I especially am impressed with the railing you made. So creative! Your dog is gorgeous too! Maybe you could make a chair or swing for your porch area. Whatever you decide to make I am sure it will turn out great!

I have to say, you did an excellent build on this pallet cabin. It's the cutest I have seen by far and the most thought out plan. You also were able to build it in a most peaceful place and your dog is a lucky dog to have such a great doghouse. You sir, are an artist.

I go to sleep to these videos. i grew up in a rural area, my parents had 10 acres of land and my mom and dad would always be tending to our animals, building fires for them in the winter. fixing up their shelters ect. all the sawing and rustic noises remind me of my childhood and its like a comfort to me lol. these videos make me miss all that honestly, now that i live in the city.

I recommend a Fuller Ratchet Bit Brace Hand Drill to put screws in, it has more torque and speed.

Thanks for sharing this insightful video. Your craftsmanship and artistry are amazing. If there is a source of slate, bricks or stones to surround the two walls and under your stove. It would add thermal mass, insulation between fire and wooden structure while absorbing the heat and dissipating it into the cabin after the fire goes out. Stay safe out there.

Amazing job. Looks beautiful. I'm building a full shed/garage workshop combo in my garden of my new 🏠 house that I'll be moving in to next month. I won't be starting work on it until spring starts but I've got a friend who can get me endless supplies of slightly damaged pressure treated pallets and transport packaging wood. Still, mine won't turn out as beautiful as this I don't think, but will still be as functional!
One thing I would have done differently though, for the firewood, I would rather have found a fallen tree or climbed a bigger, older tree or two and cut off a few thicker limbs and branches rather than cut down a younger smaller tree (unless it was one that needed to be cut down obviously) If only to stop anyone from saying " what's the point of building a house from recycled pallets if you are only going to chop down living trees for firewood?" but again, well done on a job well done.
I'd love to know if anyone has ever built a full house (as in full size living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and attic etc) just from old pallets? I've not come across any yet.

We used to have carpentry classes in school. But they did not teach us to build our own homes. Best of luck my friend
You are so wise to stand upright putting your foot on the boards to securely steady them when you are sawing them. Many carpenters get down on their knees tediously bending over. This will save your knees from getting down on them and wearing them out and save your back from constantly bending over. You are a very wise young man giving EVERY action you do careful thought and planning!!! Kuddos to you. It is so fascinating to watch as you progress with your build cleverly and successfully using pallets!! Love the dog house with the "soft" bed - so clever!!! You are like a Master builder! May God Bless you as you continue your journey out here in the beautiful nature that surrounds you!!!
Very good man. I love your project. Let me give you a couple of tips: when you bang the neils back in, bend the tips of them so they goes in the wood.
To make a screw go into the wood a lot easier, rub it on a soap bar or on candle wax, it will be much better especially if you use a screwdriver and not a power tool. 💪

I was going to say the same thing about the soap, power tools ruin the "Zen" of creating such a thing in such a place. Also, I would make a door opening out on the wood storage shed to make loading wood more efficient.
🙂 Awesome editing again! I love how you edit cutting boards - that way you show the whole process of cutting all the boards but it takes way less time. I also like how you edit hammering nails: 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4 - like music in 4/4 time. 🎼Actually, some hammerings are in 3/4 time: 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3. Cool! And that railing is genius. 💡
