Please Note, that I have been running into mines for the better part of 12 years, I don't always have a helmet because I have knocked rocks from the roof with one on because I have no depth of where My head is at. and so I don't use them unless I have to. THIS is NOT recommended for any inexperienced person. I have talked about this before! I DO these things at my OWN risk and They are not recommended for everyone. I appreciate any and all concern for my well-being. :)
Hammer loop. I do work for the Abandoned Mine Lands Progam in Wyoming. We have put in a lot of those bat gates and filled shafts with foam. Can you see Crossman Peak from there. I am a member of the Havasu Gold Seekers Seekers. We have a number of gold claims over there.
Yep. Or a tool belt you can put on before you start off on your adventures. Secure your hammer, safety gear, lights, etc., so you want for nothing (except maybe a trailer for all your finds). Thanks for bringing us along!
I rode up Mckracken peak over 10 years ago, i came in from Swansea on the alamo road side, and somehow missed all of this cool stuff. Collected some beautiful quartz pieces on top though. Will be planning another visit now that I live i n Yucca!
Would be awesome to live in rock home back in the day!! They didn’t need lanterns….only a black light!!🤩 Next trip take a tent, camp a few days! How awesome! Was it cooler inside the mine? Yes I think buying multiple rock hammers and leave one in every vehicle and by each door inside you house😊. You will always have one! This mine was absolutely amazing!!! I don’t know how long you stay there, but it wasn’t long enough for me!!
Wow, so cool!! I love your videos. I always learn something! Elley, I found what I believe to be a petrified wood geode. I broke the top off, and it’s definitely a geode with crystals inside. Have you ever heard of this? Can I show you a picture somehow, and you tell me what you think? My favorite creek is full of petrified wood and geodes, among other amazing things, and I’m just not good yet at identifying things. Please let me know if you have the time. Thanks! ❤ ROCK on!!
Love your vids!!!, but as a former miner dude, where the heck is your safety helmet?? Teaching laypeople bad habits. I would also recommend a carpenters tool belt. Place for hammer, and other tools and pouches for rocks!!!
Elley put tag on all your bags don’t forget your rock hammer 🔨 that was an amazing adventure enjoyed the video the one thing a great geologist needs to think ahead thank you
There's some nice purple fluorite in that mine, I was in there before they put up the gate. There is supposed to be petrified wood in the East McCrackens but I can't find it.
backpack for stuff PUT BACKPACK ON BACK: magnet, helmet, hammer, ice-water, nutty bars and toilet paper. Must drink water to balance the backpack coming back. Plus spray bottle
Ahhh... Ooozes history; geologic and humanic. Tough, resourceful people the early miners... need to take the tent and stay awhile, soaking in and exploring.... From now on the geo pick is Dan's responsibility 🤣🤣🤣

Watching your videos now means I can’t take a walk without staring at the ground 😂😂😂 always looking for treasure!
Can you PLEASE come to Okanogan County Washington State??? We have some great mines and I'm dying to learn more.
You got to come explore Blackhawk / Colorado.
How cool would it be to have a beer and play some Texas holdem at that table in the stone house! Love the channel!
That would be cool!
You need to come to Oregon.
Dan doesn't know yet that you're bringing home rocks??? 😂😂😂
Nice vid! Some small advice: Get yourself a rock chisel or two - much better than a screwdriver!
Thanks for the tip! I have 2 or three, but they are never where I need them cause Dan takes off with them ... lol
They have holsters and belt rings to carry hammers on a belt.
I have four that way I always have one with me.
You need to go up there for a week of camping. Bring in tons of water and take out tons of rocks. Bring lots of newspaper too.
My kind of sister/female/woman, etc.
Please keep this mine open for generations to come
