Nice video but… pretty much the same attractions. Just to name a few « others »: 1- village vacance valcartier 2- ski resorts 3- rafting 4- gourmet tours 5- ghost tours 6- biking/roller blading/swimming at the infinity pool at promenade samuel de champlain 7- aquarium 8- the many museums 9- music festivals (including FEQ) 10- cruise on st-laurence 11- ile d’orléans 12- Mega Parc. I am just naming a few because you can do pretty much anything you want and more! Plan ahead there are much more things to do than visiting old buildings (which are great though)
These are the unique locations that the other vloggers miss. Wow. Awesome. I am hoping to go this year. I visited there when I was on a band exchange trip in 1979, but I didn't have any guides, so we didn't see anything really cool. I want to go back and see all the cool things I missed, like the places you have called out!
Hey Joanne! Thank you for the great compliment! We worked really hard on the 3 videos we made about Quebec City so it makes us happy to know you enjoyed :) That's awesome you're hoping to go back this year. Which season are you thinking? I'd love to see it in the fall and winter also (for the carnival).
I love this video and all the ways to enjoy old Quebec City. It is truly special and probably as close to a visit to Europe as one can have without crossing the Atlantic. Thanks for showing us so many wonderful places to visit. I'm a tea person too so especially loved afternoon tea with "the sisters".
It definitely gives you a European vibe without crossing the pond! There's so much history and a lot to discover. We'd love to return in the wintertime too :)
Great video Eileen...! I've been to Quebec City a number of times.....It's a favourite.... You've pointed out at least a few things I've missed and are now on my to do list! One is that grocery store...The other is tea at the sisters place.......Keep that tea pinky out!
Thank you! Glad there were some new ideas in here! The grocery store was new for me as well and they had lots of neat products. And the afternoon tea is such a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the garden and history. Cheers! ;)
Hello Eileen, like always, I like very much your charming and informative video, Quebec is so amazing 🤩. I absolutely adore Henry Stuart House and drinking tea ☕️ on this porch it must. Big hugs for you both 🥰🥰
I'm glad to hear that! Quebec is definitely an amazing place to visit! The afternoon tea on the porch is truly lovely, especially on a breezy summer's day. It's kind of sheltered from the street and feels private even though you're right in the middle of the city. So glad we discovered it! We shared another video from Quebec City today so I hope you'll enjoy that one as well :)
That makes me happy to hear! Hope the 2 videos we've posted will give you some inspiration and ideas! We may or may not have some other suggestions up our sleeve still to come.... ;)
Hello Angie! Thanks so much! It feels amazing to travel again and we're so happy to be back sharing videos. :) I think you'd love Quebec! So much history and charm. ❤️
I can only imagine! I would LOVE to see it all dressed up for Christmas. 🎄 I bet it’s so cozy. What’s your favourite part about it at that time of year?
Oh Eileen your story telling is on point you are sooooo good! I love that with your vlogs I always learn something new! For sure I’d love to visit Québec City! Sending love to both of you Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧
Hey Sabrina! Thank you for such a lovely compliment ❤️ We work really hard on these videos so it means a lot to hear! Quebec City is amazing (we actually just shared another video from there today!) and there's so much to do there. We'd love to return in the wintertime as I'm sure it would be super cozy! Hope you're well 😘
You're so welcome! ❤️ When are you planning to visit? I'd love to know which places in this video (and the other 2 we made about Quebec City here bit.ly/quebecplaylist) stand out most that you'd like to visit!
That makes me very happy to hear! We made two other videos about Quebec City if you'd like to see more by the way. They're here th-cam.com/video/uHlITzxq8Yg/w-d-xo.html and here th-cam.com/video/Ak-H05bun1o/w-d-xo.html :)
Hey Philip! Thank you! I'm glad to hear that ❤️ We made 3 videos about Quebec City and many more on our 10-day road trip around the incredible Gaspé region. Have you been to Quebec City or Gaspé?
@@EileenAldis yeap, took the fam to quebec city and mont tremblant in 2019. Had no idea gaspé even existed until i saw your videos. Im hoping to go there in July this year, my daughter is going to lose her mind 😆. Much love!
Hi Philip! I'm delighted to hear you're planning a visit to Gaspé after seeing our videos! I'd love to hear your highlights and hope you had/have a fantastic time :)@@philipcarter1417
Hi and thanks for these highlights of Quebec City, Eileen 🥰 If I ever do get there, I would like to visit them all! I can't say which would be my favorite. Hope to see you guys soon. Love traveling along! What's up with the shape of the bowling pins though ... 🤣😂
Hey Gina! I think it's always a good thing when picking a favourite is tricky...spoiled for good choices! Hopefully you can visit someday :) We have new videos in the pipeline and we're really excited about sharing them!
Incredible. Even just one of those things is enough to warrant a visit to that stunning city! The Citadel might be my first choice? I love the idea of the Book of Remembrance. That would definitely move me as well. OMG did you say a prisoner in that Morrin Centre was just seven years old! Geez. Anyway this was absolutely brilliant! And those views!!
Hey Scott! Women gave birth in the prison that used to be in the Morrin Centre too. A 7-year-old prisoner is heartbreaking. The Book of Remembrance at the Citadel is a beautiful way of showing gratitude and remembering those we've lost. I was glad to learn about it from our guide since the building and book themselves are off limits to visitors. Quebec City is such a lovely place and you're absolutely right that there's a ton to do and many reasons to visit :)
For those Louise Penny fans out there, she sets her book "Bury Your Dead" in the Literary and Historical Society Building you feature early in this video. I've walked past the building before but didn't go inside, and always wondered if the beautiful old library Penny describes was contained within. It is! Thanks for the lovely video about this gem of a city. 🙌🙌🙌
Hi Michael! Thank you so much for sharing this about the Bury Your Dead book. I had no idea and have already added it to my reading list. I know of Louise Penny but haven't read any of her books before...this should be the perfect one to delve into. The library inside is lovely indeed. Perhaps another time you'll be able to duck inside to see! :)
@@EileenAldis I’m so glad. Louise Penny is such a great companion for travel or for whenever you’re feeling a bit down. Pure escapist fun. Hope you’re well. 😃

J.A. Moisan is NOTHING like it was for most of my 55 years on this earth. Since it was last sold, it shrunk to 1/3 of its original size and lost most of the imported goodies that made it so special to shop in. Also, I've been living here on and off since I was 15 (the rest of my time was spent in 6 other provinces), and while most people are ignorant of that fact (even most Quebec City francophones), there IS a pretty big and thriving English-speaking community here. With its own library, schools (up to College/CEGEP), newspaper, and until a few years ago, local TV station.
Hi again! Thanks for sharing this. I'm sure you've witnessed a lot of changes in the city since spending so much time living there. Would love to know any places you'd recommend to get food or a coffee. We'd love to come back in a different season.
Hi Eileen i love listen your beautiful voice when you talking is in reality harmony with your beautiful face also i love also see your lips moving when they make an effort for talking French is so cute and delicious you are just delicious darling can we communicate if you like??
Have you been to Quebec City? If not, is it a place you'd like to visit?
Nope not yet and I for darn sure would LOVE to go!!!
I never been but definitely I added into my bucket list ❤
Never been but I would like to looks lovely. The Stuart sisters would have had a distant claim to the English throne by descent.
That would be an interesting thread to follow up!@@john80c
