    My son is currently suffering badly with his mental health. Unfortunately, to dull the pain of his mental struggles, he drinks a lot of alcohol and his living space definitely reflects his mind right now. I have spent the last two days cleaning his apartment. Using the tools and principles that Auri demonstrates in her videos really helped. The floors and kitchen were really dirty but I had a voice in my head saying ”first, collect the trashes, then do dishes”. I made sure to clean the sink first as well. Compared to the places Auri has to clean this was relatively straight forward but still incredibly exhausting. I don’t know how she does it! I want to thank her again for the compassion and care that she shows to people who really need her help.

      I went through this with my son. While he was in the hospital recovering from pancreatitis I cleaned his room. I used this same procedure, first pick up the trash, then I started working on laundry, dust, vacuum, etc. Just wanted you to know that he can get better. My son is doing much better after getting anxiety medication. He is now working and doing great. Good luck and I hope your son is better soon.

    Everyone should have what they call a "wet" room with floor drains. It would make it extremely easy to clean. I love her video's. So inspiring.

    • @AlexBsSecret
      @AlexBsSecret 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      fyi a "wet" room is a bathroom where you can splash water everwhere, the floors, the walls and even the ceiling. It's extremely useful to have floor drains, but not every bathroom with a floor drain is automatically a "wet" room, some still have sensitive walls or painted ceilings or windows which can't get wet or mold will grow

    Your tips have really changed my life. I love to clean (not as much as you, but more than most people). But grease is my arch nemesis! I hate ovens, but your oven cleaner and plastic wrap tip has changed that for sure! And using dish soap for most stuff? Saved my marriage! My partner is super sensitive to cleaners and chemicals. I gas him out of the house anytime I use glass cleaner. The other day, I used dish soap and Scrub Daddy on my granite countertops and wooden dinner table. He didn't even know I was cleaning! He's so excited that I am able to clean without harsh chemicals that make him sick. Also he loves that one use of the oven cleaner somewhere means easy cleaning the next time with dish soap.
    I only started using a scraper because of you. Now I use it occasionally. I'm still scared of it, but I do use it.

    Very good job, as always, Auri! I know how sticky floors can get even without visible spills---I was been diagnosed just three days ago with a cataract in my right eye, and lots of things are no longer within my vision, so I sometimes maybe spill a drop of fruit juice as I'm processing berries, and pretty soon, even that drop (or four) has spread on the floor, causing stickiness.
    It's super hard right now to see where the dirt is, and even though I've been a housekeeper in several settings in the past---hospital, hotel/motels/private residences---I cannot now see what I'm cleaning with accuracy.
    Once I have the cataract removed and the lens replaced, I'll be able to see clearly again, but in the meantime, I have to ask the occasional visitor to just overlook anything I've missed. At least I know I get the dishes clean---I hate anything left on them, so I run my hands and fingers all over their surfaces before the final rinse to make sure there's nothing on them!

    You asked about using a scraper- I do! Much the same way as I have seen you use it, I scrape stickers, paint, dried-on stains/substances and anything which adheres to a surface and resists other methods. I am careful and will wrap my scraper edge with a microfiber cloth (1 thickness) to tackle more delicate surfaces. I find if I am gentle and angle it a certain way, there is no damage. I have several scrapers of varying size so I can do a large area or a small crevice or a decorative piece. When I am cleaning my own home, I need it very little but it does the job quickly and efficiently. Just what I want! Enjoy your videos so much! And, congratulations on the baby-to-come: blessings!

    Cleaning is really difficult for me, I'm always anxious and put it off for as long as I can due to some depression episodes. Before I never looked at cleaning as something you can enjoy, but you completely changed my perspective! You are a great motivation that makes me move. I hope you know that you change lives for better. You are amazing ❤️

    hello Auri! I use a sort of scraper, in reality it is more a spatula like those you can use for putty! I rarely use it, only for limescale and the soap and skin stains that form in the shower! thanks to you I learned to appreciate different cleaning techniques and I used the oven cleaner with the plastic wrap ... and it turned out great !!

    Auri, I love my scrapper. I can’t thank you enough for showing it to us! I use it to clean my glass paint palette. I used to hate cleaning it and even put off painting to avoid it. Now I love it because it is super satisfying! I use it to clean loads now, I just did my oven 😊

    I watch all your video's. I love them! Just having a hard time. I bought my Mom house. And its a mess. Not really mess with stuff anymore. Its just dirty. I work and work on stuff. Plus I am disabled. Its the grease and grime off of what ever. And it won't come off. Also its been there over 45 years. I will keep watching. Love you!

    I tried the plastic wrap & oven cleaner method, and it cleaned so good. There was dried caked-on grease in oven, side of refrigerator, and it got cleaned so well. I have not seen them this clean for a long time.

    I bought a scraper because of you, Aurii. I had no idea that such a tool even exists. I'm not at all concerned about leaving marks - I'm just happy then the limescale in my toilet (which even industrial grade liquid cleaners couldn't tackle) is finally gone!
