Yes ! He was as tidy as a 'PaPa' could be ❤ i wish i could have gone in after Auri and painted and washed shelves and got him a new rug , but when he got home i bet it felt wonderful ! Especially to wake up and sit at his table with a good cup of coffee😊
I've watched lots of videos like OCD cleaners cleaning hoarder's houses etc. This cleaner is the only one who doesn't complain, doesn't call the owners lazy and never receives negative comments. I'm a new fan, keep up the good work!

Granpa needs a weekly visitor who is provided with a list of major projects, such as scrubbing walls or ceilings, cleaning the sofa, taking the rug to a cleaner, acquiring a mattress, etc. i'm sure there must be elder care in your wonderful social services.
100% , surly he has a family member that could come 2)3 times a week help out . I know here in UK you can have carer to come in everyday and help . My mum and stepdad had one each , provided by adult social services, so what the carers would do is one would help them get washed dressed the other would do chores such as hoovering giving kitchen a clean dusting ect . When I was a teen to earn extra cash I would do the whole kitchen , bathroom toilet tidy their bedroom put away the clothes sort the cats , but when I moved out I arranged for the carers to come , my mum has arthritis head to toe , my stepdad had cancer of the skin , in his neck , in one lung they ended up cutting away half his lung so he was on oxygen 247 , there were times the carers would ring me because it was bad and neither would ask for help so id go over help the carers deep clean . I'm extremely great full they had that option of help , my stepdad passed 4 years ago I moved my mum back to Scotland so her mum and sister could help care for her , I couldn't I'm not in a position to my own health at that time took a bad turn and 4 kids one is disabled an extra person isn't an option but I'm grateful that my nan and auntie are looking after her .
What a beautiful transformation! But what I find very interesting here - grandpa's house is dirty, but not clutered. Everything seems to be neat and have its own place, only grandpa probably hasn't got the strength to keep it tip top clean, still sticks to tidying. So sad and sweet in the same time. I LOVE the longer videos. I watch them and then play them in the background later when I’m cleaning, or reading, resting etc. The light music and your voiceover is relaxing and comforting.
I prefer the longer videos as well. The split videos are also nice, but the longer ones allow me to clean along with you, and makes me feel both accomplished and satisfied. You're such a positive influence to me, Auri!

I think your lesson/explanation about leaving the bed (mattress) as is when you have finite time and transportable materials is SO important. I think people get discouraged thinking that cleaning has to be “all perfect” so they don’t get started. You are returning these homes to being livable; we don’t need perfect homes we need to feel good in our homes.
But I personally think that a house isn't livable with an imperfect bed ... I'd leave the coffee machine and get a new mattress and clean the bed .. My opinion

I spent the majority of the last 2 weeks cleaning up my home. It's not perfect yet, but it's clean. And for that, I need to thank Aurikatariina and this community. You guys cheered me on, and Auri gave me SO many tips in her vids over the last year or so I've followed her. I had been planning it literally and mentally for a month ahead of time and I finally did it. You all showed me you don't need to be embarrassed about dirt, that it can just be cleaned and you can feel good about it again, it's just that easy. It's not up to the viewers to decide what is most important to clean. It's the home owner's decision. The whole point is to make their life better/easier. If they ask you to do the most work in the kitchen and bathroom and you spend half a day looking for a new mattress, you're not doing what they want, you're doing what you want. I wish people would stop judging your choices and reasons for doing things the way you do. Just watch and enjoy, people. ❤
I think people weren't judging by merely asking and curious, but yes she has limited funds and time so has to prioritise where its needed most. It was good she explained so People can understand not everything is possible in a short space of time. Have you taken inspiration from her videos? 😊
Many older people live in tidy but quite grimy homes, especially older men. It's not that they are dirty but just that they are not as agile or able to clean for prolonged periods of time as they did when they were younger. I'm 56 and have already noticed a lessening in my flexibility and physical capabilities. Things we could do with ease become a struggle as we age. Well done Auri I am sure this gentleman appreciated your much needed help.
I think most of this is years of nicotine. My grandmother kept her house immaculate, but the ceilings and walls were yellow from smoking. When she got older and her eyesight got bad, her home was much dirtier because she couldn’t see it to know. But even then she always kept her home tidy.
I wonder if any family member knew or cared about this elderly man's situation... There isn't much trash around the house, it's literally filth/dust, which means it took it a long time to accumulate this much and nobody checked on him?!That's one of the saddest cases so far... Auri, you gave this man some dignity back! ❤
It’s not always familys fault. I know an ederly person that lives in dust and dirt and he won’t let anyone clean it. This is case like Auri usual jobs. Family offered help many times and was rejected.

My parents house was grimy and gooey because they were heavy smokers and didn’t clean much. This is so reminiscent of that. Hopefully this tenant appreciates you and your hard work
When I saw the yellow covering on every surface my first guess was that the old man was a heavy smoker and always smoked inside the apartment. The smell must’ve been hideous in there.
This was a mammoth task, great work Auri. The great thing is you've started a job, taking out the hardest tasks, and leaving it easier for the man's relatives/friends to help him
For those that have a problem getting started with cleaning, try to find a podcast documentary or audiobook that you want to listen to, then set a timer for 5 minutes, start doing the task. If you don't want to continue after 5 minutes, that's fine! But I think a lot of the time, once we start moving while also being stimulated by something we're interested in, we can keep going.
I like it best when you clean the whole apartment. Your video is longer which I like. You make people’s homes look beautiful after you finish cleaning. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I love the full house cleaning videos, Auri- seeing the entire before and after is very satisfying! And I’m so glad that Old Papa has a fresher, cleaner home now. Hopefully he can maybe get some help to get a new bed and rug or other furnishings. It makes me sad to think of all the older retired people who live alone and do their best to keep things in order, like this gentleman 🥺

If she travels in different European countries offering her services this must mean that someone is really sponsoring her & pays for the expenses. I might be wrong, but I don't think the money she earns from her channel would be used for her travels, food expense, train fair, hotel room, etc. She might be earning money from her sponsor & from TH-cam which is great, good for her.
I know she makes money and has sponsors, but what I was talking about the fact she doesn’t charge the people anything for her services, and the “cost of nothing” is meaning the clients don’t have to pay or do anything in return.
I really like the longer videos where you get to see the results of the whole house at once. Sometimes I have to go looking for the second half and since they do not have the same titles, they are hard to locate. What a transformation! I always think, even though you don't get everything clean, you get it to a good place where it is livable again, and now the homeowner might be able to afford to pay someone for an hour or two of cleaning instead of 20 hours!

I absolutely love cleanings like this where there's no trash!! I used to clean at a 55+ community, and I loved cleaning for the people who had grease like this but no trash or clutter to move haha! It's so much more satisfying to scrape off years of grease and dust!! I used purple degreaser instead of oven cleaner. Well, technically it is oven cleaner - industrial oven cleaner, but it's a liquidy product that you have to spread instead of foamy oven cleaning spray.

You've inspired me so much - as a Caregiver part of my job is to keep their homes clean, but it had been difficult for me to treat my home the same way. Now my Sundays is watching your new video that in-turn gets my motivation going to care for my home as I do my clients; I've even started cleaning 2 friends homes a month... I know what to do because of you. I am not in the position to do for free just yet, but have pondered volunteering a weekend a month to helping clean out hoarder homes, I know how satisfying it will feel to be able to help someone like you do... Personally, the longer the video the better! I put your videos on while I clean and watching you clean makes my messes not seem so hard. Longer videos means I don’t have to take breaks to find a new video as often (if at all depending on what task I’m working on)

Full house cleaning is something I can’t do anymore, i’m thinking I’m going to have to get some help, but watching you clean, whilst lying in bed sick, feels joyful, especially since my house, which has me in despair, is so far from Poppy’s house, it could be a show home! I like to see the whole house. If it’s too long and I don’t have time I can always stop it and save some of it to watch for later. And I love what you did for this grandpa! He clearly does his best to take care of his home. There was no trash and everything was mostly uncluttered and organized. ❤

It's not up to the viewers to decide what is most important to clean. It's the home owner's decision. The whole point is to make their life better/easier. If they ask you to do the most work in the kitchen and bathroom and you spend half a day looking for a new mattress, you're not doing what they want, you're doing what you want. I wish people would stop judging your choices and reasons for doing things the way you do. Just watch and enjoy, people. ❤
I think people weren't judging by merely asking and curious, but yes she has limited funds and time so has to prioritise where its needed most.

Many older people live in tidy but quite grimy homes, especially older men. It's not that they are dirty but just that they are not as agile or able to clean for prolonged periods of time as they did when they were younger. I'm 56 and have already noticed a lessening in my flexibility and physical capabilities. Things we could do with ease become a struggle as we age. Well done Auri I am sure this gentleman appreciated your much needed help.
I think most of this is years of nicotine. My grandmother kept her house immaculate, but the ceilings and walls were yellow from smoking. When she got older and her eyesight got bad, her home was much dirtier because she couldn’t see it to know. But even then she always kept her home tidy.
Please don't have someone else do your voice-overs. The joy and enthusiasm in your voice is part of what makes these videos great.

I wonder if any family member knew or cared about this elderly man's situation... There isn't much trash around the house, it's literally filth/dust, which means it took it a long time to accumulate this much and nobody checked on him?!That's one of the saddest cases so far... Auri, you gave this man some dignity back! ❤
It’s not always familys fault. I know an ederly person that lives in dust and dirt and he won’t let anyone clean it. This is case like Auri usual jobs. Family offered help many times and was rejected.

My parents house was grimy and gooey because they were heavy smokers and didn’t clean much. This is so reminiscent of that. Hopefully this tenant appreciates you and your hard work

The yellowed walls were likely a tell tale sign of smoking indoors.
When I saw the yellow covering on every surface my first guess was that the old man was a heavy smoker and always smoked inside the apartment. The smell must’ve been hideous in there.

This was a mammoth task, great work Auri. The great thing is you've started a job, taking out the hardest tasks, and leaving it easier for the man's relatives/friends to help him
For those that have a problem getting started with cleaning, try to find a podcast documentary or audiobook that you want to listen to, then set a timer for 5 minutes, start doing the task. If you don't want to continue after 5 minutes, that's fine! But I think a lot of the time, once we start moving while also being stimulated by something we're interested in, we can keep going.
I like it best when you clean the whole apartment. Your video is longer which I like. You make people’s homes look beautiful after you finish cleaning. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

It's affordable due to the channel, still commendable tho, perhaps it allows her to reach people who wouldn't ask or be able to access her services beforehand
If she travels in different European countries offering her services this must mean that someone is really sponsoring her & pays for the expenses. I might be wrong, but I don't think the money she earns from her channel would be used for her travels, food expense, train fair, hotel room, etc. She might be earning money from her sponsor & from TH-cam which is great, good for her.

I really like the longer videos where you get to see the results of the whole house at once. Sometimes I have to go looking for the second half and since they do not have the same titles, they are hard to locate. This was one of my favorites to watch. Papa really didn’t have clutter so it got to be all cleaning. Love how it doesn’t have to be perfect. Trying for perfection freezes you🥰

What a transformation! I always think, even though you don't get everything clean, you get it to a good place where it is livable again, and now the homeowner might be able to afford to pay someone for an hour or two of cleaning instead of 20 hours!

I absolutely love cleanings like this where there's no trash!! I used to clean at a 55+ community, and I loved cleaning for the people who had grease like this but no trash or clutter to move haha! It's so much more satisfying to scrape off years of grease and dust!! I used purple degreaser instead of oven cleaner. Well, technically it is oven cleaner - industrial oven cleaner, but it's a liquidy product that you have to spread instead of foamy oven cleaning spray.

We definately need more people like you in the community and those that can actually help people. When it comes to situations like this we all need to work together to make a change and motivate others and help them with anything they are struggling with.

You've inspired me so much - as a Caregiver part of my job is to keep their homes clean, but it had been difficult for me to treat my home the same way. Now my Sundays is watching your new video that in-turn gets my motivation going to care for my home as I do my clients; I've even started cleaning 2 friends homes a month... I know what to do because of you. I am not in the position to do for free just yet, but have pondered volunteering a weekend a month to helping clean out hoarder homes, I know how satisfying it will feel to be able to help someone like you do... Personally, the longer the video the better! I put your videos on while I clean and watching you clean makes my messes not seem so hard. Longer videos means I don’t have to take breaks to find a new video as often (if at all depending on what task I’m working on)
