Been watching a lot of FSD but seeing your face experiencing it was priceless. I know you have been watching them as well and you still were blown away. It is massively impressive and I do believe that most of the UK population are not aware of the progress that exists in the latest FSD. We need to get the laws changed soon to allow this in the UK!
@@TeslaJigsaw Thank you for replying... :-) If a person pays up front for FSD and then always lets the car do all the driving, why would they need to pay anything for car insurance? It seems to me that buying FSD is like paying up front for a lifetime of car insurance. What is wrong with my thinking? I love your videos and fair treatment of Tesla.
It is great to see the reaction of someone’s first time experiencing FSD. I’ve been using it for months now and switch between totally taking it for granted then realizing, WTF, how is this even happening! The future is coming fast. 👍
If only other automakers were capable of forward thinking. They are still struggling to build profitable EVs, let alone considering licensing Tesla’s autonomous software and adding cameras/computers to their cars! Too little too late for the lot of them
I rented a model y with full fsd in September, and drove a over 1500 miles in 3 weeks. The car drove 99.5% of the trip through LA, San Diego, Bakersfoeld. It’s is mind blowing.
On top of the must-do disengagements (rare) I disengage often just because I'd rather it take a better path through an intersection (rather than run over every utility access point and pothole on the road, or cutting across the lanes of the road I'm turning onto, rather than pulling a little more forward and entering the roadway inside the travel lane).
Same outfit that caught a self landing rocket between two arms on a launch tower. I am not surprised with how good it is, as usual, I am surprised by how the mainstream media ignore these achievements.
Went on a test drive 2 weeks ago and had the same reaction. Wife was a bit nervous. I loved it. Picking up our cybertruck in 2 days .. We will have a 4 hr drive home all on FSD, unbelievable 👍
I do find it astounding how many people are in ignorance or worse - denial - about this technology. I was very lucky that YT directed me to a very early v12 FSD video. I only needed to see the amazement on the drivers face, hear him say what a quantum leap it was from v11 and that it was an entirely new codebase using inference rather than heuristics, to know that this was going to be huge. I'm confident that EM is confident that he will crack autonomy. I live in the UK, so have not yet been able to experience it for myself but I figure that if Tesla does crack autonomy and it does go global, then my TSLA will pay for me to buy myself an autonomous car and if it doesn't, then I won't need one ...
FSD (v12.5.4.1 supervised) in Perl (2023 AI4 MY) drives pretty well over most the roads I drive or supervise on. However, it will be a while before I'm hands-off the wheel on some intersections, though it seems to be better at not dropping the back inside wheel into the ditch anymore, I'm not trusting it fully. I also have to brake out ahead of some speed humps and bumps and sometimes need to disengage at really odd places, like when turning into my driveway (its a gravel drive that bridges over a drainage culvert -- FSD does not like my driveway, and it gets points from me for that, but the fact remains it will not drive the last 200 meters to my house).
We had zero phantom breaking with this newest version. I occasionally get phantom breaking on my Tesla which is using old autopilot technology. It really depends on what version people are using/talking about. That aside, and as this has shown me, I believe Tesla has cracked it. V.13 looks to address all possible driving scenarios (made a vid on that the other day!)
So cool , v13 should be here by the end of November, that’s when s**t gets real . V13 it will park when it gets to the destination, and it will be able to use reverse gets ( 3 point turns) I’m from the uk and people think I’m mad for being so excited. The hardest. Problem humans have ever tried to solve ( except fusion but we have been on that for 60 years!)
This is not even the best of FSD since the CT version is still new and learning based on its different design from the other Tesla vehicles. The FSD tech is quite magical.
My first time using ‘Turo’ where you rent people’s vehicles. It was so easy, the chaps Cybertruck was added to my Tesla App and I simply collected & returned it from the hotel car park. If you fancy going to Vegas, his name is Kamron 👍
That looks fantastic, proper childhood future dream stuff! However, isn't a large part of FSD capability the "database/network" that Tesla in the US has built up as it has allowed a greater level of autonomy use for Tesla drivers? The system learns from all the journeys people have been taking into a collective (Borg?) knowledge - in the UK and elsewhere that have not be allowing FSD (why are we always so slow in the UK at adopting new stuff!?!) won't have this and will limit/delay rollout. That's annoying as this looks so, so, so, so cool and will propel my Model 3 from the greatest purchase I have ever made to full on family member!
I think, (please correct me if I’m talking nonsense) that the Teslas in the UK, and rest of the world, are all collecting the same data, it’s just that the UK and EU governments are being very (overly?) cautious.
It learns from all the journeys but it does not necessarily remember all the specifics about the roads and directions. Like, I can drive on a road I have never been on just fine. Tesla FSD can transfer to other countries without driving on all of its roads first. It will re-learn quick and update very fast. Elon just brought 30k Nvidia h100s online to train it
@munro12345 I don't know the specifics about what it does in the UK but it is doing the Borg thing to probably all Teslas in the US made after 2019 - even those with FSD not installed. It's constantly "shadowing" you like a Driving school instructor and will beep and throw messages if it feels something bad is going to happen (remember this is even with cars where the FSD option wasn't paid for or even downloaded. AI chips come in ALL CARS whether you paid for FSD or not). I'm guessing it has since 2019 also been actively doing the Borg thing with cars in the UK too but very very very silently. At night if the car is connected to your home's wiFi system it will upload driving scenarios that it deems edge cases that it couldn't figure out but the person somehow did successfully. So you are probably thinking that means old AI versions are needlessly uploading scenarios that more up to date AI's have already solved. That's true but also that means the new AI could shadow the old AI and see if it truly has solved the scenario.
By the time we get it (V.13 and above) it should be entirely capable of handling all scenarios. The Video I made regarding V.13 mentioned things like ‘reversing down a single lane’ etc. Exciting times ahead!
2020, dead tired, black midnight, curves for miles... I knew from that point, just using Tesla's auto pilate, that the car would drive better than me. Jeannine
I cannot use auto speed around my quasi-rural neighborhood, because FSD tends to speed. Not saying that it's unsafe, just that if I'm going to get a speeding ticket, I'd at least have gotten the pleasure of driving "too fast" myself. When I engage FSD, I want it to drive like a professional chauffeur, not an excited teenager.
FSD is only about 60% as good as a human currently. It still lack common sense-tapping on horn to alert other drivers. Remains stagnant when people or cars moving close by like summon mode in parking lots and still can’t forward park.

So glad you got the chance to try out FSD. Nice to see the joy on your face. Great video loved it.
Thank you! Still blown away by it 🙂
I love that Tesla FSD grin on your face.
I have been using FSD for a few years and the improvements are fantastic,
You do a really terrific job with your videos! A wickedly satisfying combo of funny and concise.
Thanks so much! I’m striving for more concise 👍

Elon, Tesla, and SpaceX make the unimaginable possible.
The joy in your voices says it all! I love it too!
It's 100% happening. Soon.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience
Thanks for watching 🙂
Welcome to the future! Look of the vehicle and confidence of autonomous driving is the new bar height for ALL other automakers.

I’m speechless. And that’s saying a lot coming from an Irishman!! Roll on the European updates. Regards Séamus

The word Inevitable springs to mind, and soon.
"A ground making moment in history" your most prophetic words.

It's certainly more intelligent than Autopilot! Hopefully it and the satnav will be fit for British roads by the time I'm too old to drive myself.
Very enjoyable riding with you two👌I am # 420K reservation. Around 2026-7. Can't wait to be driven...😊
Thank you! May you get your Cybertruck ASAP 🙂
Just refreshing hearing English lads on an FSD vid :)
Helpful tech revolutions tend to evoke two main emotions: joyous rapture or seething resentment. Gotta love them humans . . .

Extraordinary car , Tesla the most fantastic car in the world . Bravo to them .
Imagine being pulled over by the police, but the car won’t cos it hasn’t reached its destination 😂
It's hard to understand what's coming until you get behind the wheel and don't have to do much of anything.
you seem super happy, and yet there are so many people saying that it sucks because of phantom breaking etc

Great video. If you buy FSD can you have it transferred to a new Tesla or does it stay with the car?
you cannot automatically transfer FSD from car to car. However, there have been periodic opportunities to do so
Crazy!
I think the best use of this tech is the drive HGVs from A to B. That would move more and be safer for other drivers
Coming to Tesla Semi trucks at some point! Testing underway I believe

I can see a fatal Zero day event in terms of possible catastrophic effect for Waymo and other similar competition when this goes live.

One question though, as Tesla's F.S.D is vision only.
Having no lidar or radar, I'm intrigued to know how it works in heavy fog?

Turn off automatic speed offset in those areas. That's what I do.
@ I do and twiddle that right wheel whenever I want to increase or decrease top speed
When can we get this 😢
Supervised, possibly early 2025. Unsupervised, apparently UK government is looking to allow regulations for it by 2026 🤞
@TeslaJigsaw fingers crossed 🤞

2026 apparently
So who will take the responsibility ?
Hello
Hi
Sorry didn’t give you a like cuz you have 369 .LOL😂 just passed it 👍
It makes you wonder why the uk government has recently put the brakes on fsd coming to Europe.
As far as I’m aware, The UK government is working to make fully autonomous vehicles legal on UK roads by 2026 (unsupervised)
@@TeslaJigsaw Wow! Mb they will have a scheme ready for road side charging by then too ;-)
@TeslaJigsaw they are, but tesla fsd is not part of it. It's annoying I can't the report.
I just love the sounds it makes when accelerating and regenerative braking 🫶🏼🥰♥️
