    Thanks Nando. I use it on my OLY EM1X +OLY 8-25mm with a 72/82mm step-up ring. So I bought the biggest one and it works fine to me!

      Always a good choice. It's a flexible solution and prevents the need for having multiple filters.

    Very useful information, thank you. I've used a Haida ND filter before and it gave me some vignetting that ruined some of my shoots, so I stopped using it; but here I've seen there was no vignetting at all from one extreme to the other. If so this filter would be "the" solution for the problem.

    Cheers mate. I just bought one. But mine doesn't have the little arm for adjustment.

      Perhaps it's in the box?
      Otherwise I would get in contact with the store

    Hi, have you tested whether the water drains properly from the filter in the event of rain?

    • @nandoharmsen
      @nandoharmsen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I haven't.
      Rain drops will always be visible, no matter what filter is used. So an adequate raincover is the only thing that works.

      @@nandoharmsen Yes yes but some filters are very better like the k&f is very good for this, just a little bit of water stay on thr filter as the pub

    • @nandoharmsen

      @@RallyeTime That is true, some do better than others. It's nice too see how a dropplet moves from such a filter, but that's not the same as rain. A drissle or a real rainshower make a lot of difference, but neither are large drops that are placed onto the lens in a controlled environment like they show you in advertisements.

    I would really like to get this filter but my only problem is I mostly use a rig with a matte box in bright sunlight (tilta mini matte box), and the movement of the long lever that controls the neutral density will definitely be restricted in such setup.

      A good point I didn't realize. Thanks for the addition.

      Hey, we have another version that can take off the lever. May I have your email address?

      @@nandoharmsen can the lever not be removed?

    • @nandoharmsen
      @nandoharmsen  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@quiztasiarocks It probably can. I never tried this. But in that case it might be more difficult to change the neutral density amount.

    Do other companies also creat CPL & VND filters too? I’m currently looking for more options to choose from.

      There are others, but I don't have experience with those. I've heard about bad ones though, that produce a dark cross. You don't want to have one of those.

    I have a question for this filter is, when we change the focal length (lense zoom) down to about 25mm (below that), does it cause the X pattern or Vignette?
    Thank you.

    • @nandoharmsen
      @nandoharmsen  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a valid question and I've checked with my 15-35mm lens. It turns out there is no cross-effect, but the regular uneven polarisation will appear. It also becomes more evident when turned towards maximum neutral density (7 stops).
      I tried it towards blue sky without clouds to see the effect as best as possible. My findings are, try to avoid to go wider than 24mm.

      Fortunately it wasn't a review. Just an explanation how to use it, just as the title clarifies. Didn't you notice?
