Very useful information, thank you. I've used a Haida ND filter before and it gave me some vignetting that ruined some of my shoots, so I stopped using it; but here I've seen there was no vignetting at all from one extreme to the other. If so this filter would be "the" solution for the problem.
@@RallyeTime That is true, some do better than others. It's nice too see how a dropplet moves from such a filter, but that's not the same as rain. A drissle or a real rainshower make a lot of difference, but neither are large drops that are placed onto the lens in a controlled environment like they show you in advertisements.
I would really like to get this filter but my only problem is I mostly use a rig with a matte box in bright sunlight (tilta mini matte box), and the movement of the long lever that controls the neutral density will definitely be restricted in such setup.
There are others, but I don't have experience with those. I've heard about bad ones though, that produce a dark cross. You don't want to have one of those.
@Bryan_filmvideo 13 giờ trước I have a question for this filter is, when we change the focal length (lense zoom) down to about 25mm (below that), does it cause the X pattern or Vignette? Thank you.
That's a valid question and I've checked with my 15-35mm lens. It turns out there is no cross-effect, but the regular uneven polarisation will appear. It also becomes more evident when turned towards maximum neutral density (7 stops). I tried it towards blue sky without clouds to see the effect as best as possible. My findings are, try to avoid to go wider than 24mm.

Thank you for the best review on this Filter & I searched high & low
You are a very good teacher. Well explained
Thanks Nando. I use it on my OLY EM1X +OLY 8-25mm with a 72/82mm step-up ring. So I bought the biggest one and it works fine to me!
Always a good choice. It's a flexible solution and prevents the need for having multiple filters.

Cheers mate. I just bought one. But mine doesn't have the little arm for adjustment.
Perhaps it's in the box?
Otherwise I would get in contact with the store
hi, then you have to return it to the shop you bought it from and have it exchanged, it has to be there, kind regards Support@Haida Filters NL
Hi, have you tested whether the water drains properly from the filter in the event of rain?
No, I haven't.
Rain drops will always be visible, no matter what filter is used. So an adequate raincover is the only thing that works.
@@nandoharmsen Yes yes but some filters are very better like the k&f is very good for this, just a little bit of water stay on thr filter as the pub

A good point I didn't realize. Thanks for the addition.
Hey, we have another version that can take off the lever. May I have your email address?
@@nandoharmsen can the lever not be removed?
@@quiztasiarocks It probably can. I never tried this. But in that case it might be more difficult to change the neutral density amount.
Do other companies also creat CPL & VND filters too? I’m currently looking for more options to choose from.

This was a horrible review.
Fortunately it wasn't a review. Just an explanation how to use it, just as the title clarifies. Didn't you notice?
