looks a reasonably priced product Matt and a good way to combining variable ND and CPL. Even though I have the Kase magnetic, I tend not to attach my CPL too often but at least this way its already there and gives the option of using it there and then
H&Y has a Revoring cpl + vnd filter worth looking at. I got 2 of them to cover all of my lenses diameters without adding step-up rings or adapters. 😎📷 I do wish H&Y would invest in a better magnetic filter line.
Hey William, yeah I do actually have them. Not a big fan, they are quiet large and thick and you really notice it on the front of your lens. This is just like a normal filter and easier to carry around all day (in my opinion) but if it works for you that's bloody amazing mate 😉
Great review, i've been looking for a magnetic solution, then stumbled upon this filter on amazon. Looked up some reviews and it seems a really good choice. I too like to travel light, especially on mountain hikes, and this filter certainly fits the bill for what I want!
My question is: why don't they do this on all VND filters. A VND is basically 2 CPL filters back-to-back. The adjustment ring on a normal VND filter allows you to rotate one of the CPLs against the other, which stays in a fixed orientation, depending on how it was threaded on to the lens. The mechanism of this combo filter apparently lets you rotate one of the CPLs against the other with the adjustment lever, but then has an adjustment ring which simultaneously rotates both CPLs. So, if I'm understanding it correctly, there's no extra glass in the optical path of this combo filter as compared to a VND-only filter.
Another blah blah vlah review with a with very few examples. We came here not to whatch you - you are not a model We here JUST FOR FILTER EFFECT! I cant understand why ONLY Christopher Frost makes revies consisting only from tests and examples without any selfish head video 🤷

Very cool design! Thanks for the share!
Bloody hell Matthew you've convinced me to buy more camera gear. I will use it with my Nikon 18-300mm lens on my D90. Thanks heaps.
See you out there!

@@matthewstorerphotography speaking of size that's right, the H&Y is quite big and on your face 😅 your filter has a much more manageable size 😎📷

Nice
Is the silver pin in the VND able to screw out? Or is it always on the filter?
👍🏻
Kinda odd to describe something as bloody sick ? Not a visually attractive choice of words really. But great filter though
