It's because this absolute unit of a character that's very emblematic of the 80s and what was considered cool then is doing a very precise and delicate maneuver to properly aim a gun, which is in contrast to how they usually act, IE: ripping people in half, hip-firing automatic cannons, and screaming all the time, mostly about the Emperor.
Not just that, but when the bullets travel, you can see that they are in fact not bullets, but rather miniature rocket-propelled grenades, just like in the lore!
It's never fully explained what the spinning cylinder is actually on primaris guns, it could serve for cooling (on energy/heat based weapons) or it could be an autoloader (for bolt firing weapons), or it could be just there to spin for amusement/chagrin, it's anyone's guess.

Oh.. these guns DAKKA good. They DAKKA very good - Canon lore for functioning weapon sounds and mechanics are usually up to the artist to interpret (for the more “fiddly” bits like R.O.F, ammunition capacity, fire effect..) understanding what the weapons do is easy) I hope these become the staple for what the guns should be like in action.

In a way though, they are quite different and fill roles of different weapon categories in other games. For example the ones on the Tactical: Bolt Carbine - SMG Auto Bolt Rifle - Assault rifle Bolt Rifle - battle/automatic rifle Heavy Bolt Rifle - SAW/light machinegun Stalker Bolt Rifle - DMR
Boring Primaris are boring. Where are the missile launchers, the flamers, the power axes, the assault marines with lightning claws, the option for the beaky helmet. Why can't we make a proper Raven Guard or Space Wolf. Why is it Cadians and not some unknown guard regiment. It's all so fucking dull.
I hate it. It makes the standard bolter into a weaker weapon just by existing. It's the definition of redundant. Don't let me rain on your parade tho, I'm just a broken Space Marine player who hates Primaris Marines.

Even for the Spees Mereehns it's practically a shortsword. There's power gladiuses used by Ultramarines and I wouldn't say they're that longer in comparison to a Combat Knife from this game
A Boltgun uses a two stage system. A conventional charge to shoot the round of the barrel hence the brass casing and once it’s out of the barrel the rocket activates propelling the round. Gyrojets fire the whole round using the propellant as its escape mechanism

These guns are cool, but the lack of a vengeance launcher or any missile launcher is kinda disappointing. I hope Saber will add them in the future for the game.
GW seems to have forced them to exclusively use shitmarine gear so they can advertise their most overpriced kits, so I doubt we'll see any decent heavy or special weapons.

Afaik, the stock on the Plas Incenerator was basically phased out, same with the Bolt Rifle without scope (normal one, not Auto bolt rifle with the drum mag).

Pyroblaster probably works well against close combat targets... Plus it's lethal damage works at extreme close range, make it an awkward position in PVP where both side primary weapons are ranged Bolters
If it has BOLT in the name, it's usually a newer model made by Bellisarius Cawl for the Primaris Marines. If it has BOLTER in the name then it's a older model. That's my understanding anyway.
Different specifications. Bolters are an old weapon type that's been in use since the reclamation of earth and before. Newer bolt weapons are intended for fights at longer ranges rather than just being used to kill "literally anything" like was the original intent of the Bolters
In PVP, it does have a specific difference between Loyalist and Heretics Boltgun can be various patterns, however most patterns either relic or already phased out by Imperium standards. Most Heretic Boltgun are less common calibre used by Imperium standards. Bolt-Rifle on the other hand, is a new, modular design specific for Primaris Space Marines. It's unique pattern that allows one base pattern switch to different designs and roles. The calibre of this Bolter use standard .75 calibre.

Pretty much every Bolt gun patterned for the Astartes has to be the quality of a Relic (In the undying artefact sort of sense) as it's the space marines that would have to be using them. Further, I've never heard of Astartes pattern bolt guns having caliber differences, othet than say between a heavy and regular bolters.
Melta rifle. Barrel has rifling to spin heatwave for metter accuracy? Who the F created those namings? And plasma incinerator? Pyreblaster? They renamed plasma gun and flamer to have copyrights to those names? GW greed has no bounds.

The heavy plasma is disappointing. It's never been a grenade weapon. Like they are supposed to be a mid ranged weapon, a more beefy version of a plasma rifle. Also where are the power axes in this game? And no flamers in Operations? So few weapon options and customizations.
There are way too many redundant weapons. Why are there 10 variations of the Boltgun now? Where is the flamer, missile launcher, lighting claws, lascannon, shotgun, inferno pistol, grav gun, autocannon, assault cannon, and power axe? Could they have maybe cut out shit like the "heavy bolt rifle" (like a standard bolter isn't heavy enough) or fused the auto bolt rife and the bolt rife into one weapon called the "bolt rifle" or better yet a "Bolter"? What the fuck is a "melta rifle"? Do they rifle the melta barrels now? Is this your brain on Primaris Marines?

It's modified colling system - Belisarius Cawl upgraded Primaris plasma weapons so they don't explode anymore.
Yeah, my guess for the spinny bits is that they help with ejecting & chambering rounds faster for full-auto usage.

That was a Graia-developed weapon on testing stage. And since Graia is gone, testing pretty much ended.

It's because Primaris Marines are supposed to be tacticool guys, just look at how the Sniper or Vanguard looks like

Kinda sad we didnt get the deathwatch combat shotgun or the vulkite caliver. Or even the vengeance launcher from the last game. Ah well I guess they couldn’t get to everybody’s weapon.

Pyroblaster probably works well against close combat targets...
Plus it's lethal damage works at extreme close range, make it an awkward position in PVP where both side primary weapons are ranged Bolters
What's the difference between a bolter and a bolt rifle?
Bolt Rifles are longer and more adapt to longer range combat than standard Bolters
If it has BOLT in the name, it's usually a newer model made by Bellisarius Cawl for the Primaris Marines. If it has BOLTER in the name then it's a older model. That's my understanding anyway.
Different specifications. Bolters are an old weapon type that's been in use since the reclamation of earth and before. Newer bolt weapons are intended for fights at longer ranges rather than just being used to kill "literally anything" like was the original intent of the Bolters
In PVP, it does have a specific difference between Loyalist and Heretics
Boltgun can be various patterns, however most patterns either relic or already phased out by Imperium standards. Most Heretic Boltgun are less common calibre used by Imperium standards.
Bolt-Rifle on the other hand, is a new, modular design specific for Primaris Space Marines. It's unique pattern that allows one base pattern switch to different designs and roles. The calibre of this Bolter use standard .75 calibre.
@@leekaijit36 That's pretty funny to hear. "phased out by imperium standards" as if the Imperium has a cohesive military. Pretty much every Bolt gun patterned for the Astartes has to be the quality of a Relic (In the undying artefact sort of sense) as it's the space marines that would have to be using them. Further, I've never heard of Astartes pattern bolt guns having caliber differences, othet than say between a heavy and regular bolters.
I'm speaking for everyone that Sniper bullet should penetrate through enemies and walls like CS2

The heavy plasma is disappointing. It's never been a grenade weapon. Like they are supposed to be a mid ranged weapon, a more beefy version of a plasma rifle.
Also where are the power axes in this game? And no flamers in Operations? So few weapon options and customizations.

There are way too many redundant weapons. Why are there 10 variations of the Boltgun now? Where is the flamer, missile launcher, lighting claws, lascannon, shotgun, inferno pistol, grav gun, autocannon, assault cannon, and power axe? Could they have maybe cut out shit like the "heavy bolt rifle" (like a standard bolter isn't heavy enough) or fused the auto bolt rife and the bolt rife into one weapon called the "bolt rifle" or better yet a "Bolter"? What the fuck is a "melta rifle"? Do they rifle the melta barrels now? Is this your brain on Primaris Marines?
Sucks that literally like 3 of these guns are any good.
