I'm planing on purchasing Xperia Z3+ but due to the comments about the over heating issues I'm having second thoughts. i use my Xperia Z for multimedia usage and gaming with Wifi ON throughout the day and i get that the handset gets hot but does the Z3+ get very hot? This is the only issue preventing me from purchasing the handset. Has sony updated the SD810 chipset in new handsets?

Cheney Xie I have a z5 and I didn't try it. And let me say that I won't.I trust sony, it's just that my brain refuses to even think about trying the water resistance. Btw I did try it on my previous z2 and it did pretty well. Even I took a number of selfies under water with my friends.
and yet Sony is ruined by its sales and its considering on selling Sony Mobile....why?i love Z3 and its a very good phone and also cheaper than other flagships which offers the same or less specs and possibilities.Really? A super fast,20 mpxl,waterproof,5.2 inch phone is going to waste cuase of samsung's and Apple's reputation.Damn it .
I completely agree with what you just said. I wish people realised how much better is Z3 as compared to the likes of S3 & the rest. Hopefully they can somehow get over the financial woes & keep producing handsets like the Z3.

Doom Fate That's why ppl like me on my channel praise not only the big but deserving brands as well. I have made several videos on the Z3 & continue to do so. Sony & HTC both deserve appreciation and to me they are the best brands of 2014 😊
The problem is the 6 months cycle. While this fast evolution was welcomed, Sony has to stop it. Because first no one upgrades their phones every 6 months. Secondly, because no one likes to pay 600€ for a flagship only to have it declared obsolete 6 months later. Thirdly because all these hardware iterations left behind the OS improvements. Fourthly because these constant iterations leave Sony to a BUNCH of software/firmware to update and support. Which costs money. The Z3 line of phones is excellent. There's absolutely no reason to have it replaced by a Z4 line anytime soon. Instead, Sony should use that time to improve the software on the phones. The Z line has the best cameras on Android. Yet, the results are far from what they could be because Sony literally spends zero time and effort in improving the camera algorithms or improving the camera UI and UX. As a result you have a great phone, with great hardware, thwarted by sub-par software.
ok so i'm gonna give my review, I have z1, z2, z3C and M4.. all of them are terrible. They z1-z3 run fast but the monitors are fucking horrible, they're easy to break, the backs are terrible too. z3 dropped once and the back and front cracked. z2 tried recording video under water, not even 2 feet away from the surface and it went blacked out. And z1 has terrible camera software that there's a bright area in back camera. m4 is okay, i've had it 2-3 years already and it's still working but the it's slow and freezes alot. I'm thinking about buying m5 since it's much faster(so it seems) and it doesn't have those flaps, the magnet charger in 3 of them fucking sucks shit, you really have to make sure they all fit in so it could charge, sony really made a stupid move on that.. if i were them why waste on magnetic charger when you can use qi wireless? so far, in my review: Don't get it, they're fragile as fuck, no wonder their price is low. All those "shatterproof" water resistent/waterproof don't mean shit.

broke my z2, z1 under water. M4 is probably the water resistant even if micro usb charger is open, it can stand in the water.

O and z1 has that terrible fucking crashing problem when facebook is installed. It turns off and keep booting forever.
