    I test drove the T5 yesterday and all I can say is WOW, the ride is comfortable yet sporty, the acceleration and shifting are smooth and seamless, being that it costs about 6 grand less than a BMW thats optioned the same, I say its one of the best bargains out there, an unsung hero if you will

    What are you talking about? The idea isn't to just throw on the biggest turbo you can, the idea is to use the turbo to find a balance between efficiency and power.

    My mother had an XC90 (2007) new off the lot with everything. The vehicle was acceptably nice and fairly comfortable. There were things that simply shouldn't go wrong with a vehicle though. Like, for one example the air conditioning unit smelt musty and mouldy. It was always stored in a temperature controlled garage too! We brought it back to the dealership for repairs 6 times aswell, every time the problem wasn't resolved. Left a bad taste for Volvo.

    I have a volvo 2002 s60 and I love it. I personally like my model better than the newer models because I've found that they have totally gotten away from the classic look Volvos are known for.
    I saw a Volvo the other day that was 2 doors. I could not believe it was something Sedan would make. I wasn't impressed.

  • @ammichalzeszen
    @ammichalzeszen 12 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    It's very interesting to notice how little Volvo's models changed over the few years when it comes to appearance. Despite of all the new technology applied to the new cars, you can see a front dock very similar to the early 2000 models. I find it fascinating!

    Hello Kyle! Hello guys!
    Wanted to know your opinion in buying used s60 against bmw 3 series and audi a4 2010-2011.
    I do like Volvo's seats and interior and also the thing that there aren't so many of them as the other two.
    Thanks!

      the volvo is a clear winner as long as you dont intend to use the back seats a lot or got a small-engined version
      also, find a good mechanic or be prepared to spend another car worth of money on repairs from the dealer within 5-10 years

    Does anyone know if this is an reliable car? Or if a specific engine option more reliable?

    • @danilaalpatov1374
      @danilaalpatov1374 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      2.0t 180hp and 2.5t 250hp are the most reliable options while 1.6 and 2.0 from Ford are garbage really and should be avoided at all costs. Car is very reliable if maintained right, once left unmaintainded for the long time it can be very expensive to fix (turbine/cylinder rings/AMT). If threated good, these engines can live up to 300000-500000km without any problems. Volvo's 5 cyl turbo engines is one of the most reliable high pressure turbo engines on the market.

    @1006Will Lol dude, the keyless system is just fine, put the key in the slot and start it. The keyfob isn't ugly, it's a simple shape, take a look at the jaguar ones, they're ugly. The speedometer dosen't look cheap, it's what volvo does in there cars, who cares about piece of leather on the gearbox, there's no need. How in the heck is that hazard button ugly? It's a simple hazard button lol

    Before you consider buying a Volvo, remember that Volvo is now owned by a Chinese company called Geely, which means that every single new Volvo is anything but safe and Swedish, but designed and built in China by Chinese people. So, if you think you're new Volvo is safe and made by Swedes in the best possible way, you're absolutely wrong.

  • @L.A.97.
    @L.A.97. 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @UnRoman111 I know, bro. Why do almost every single car manufacturer have to be onwed by various companies all the time? I mean, Volvo was sold to Ford in 1998 and Ford sold it to that Chinese company in 2010. So Volvo's haven't been Volvo's since 1997. But at least they still make them in Sweden.

  • @derbigpr500
    @derbigpr500 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @bartolo456 What cheaper materials? What are you talking about? Clearly you havent seen this car in person.... All plastic materials in this car are soft to the touch and feel expensive. Also, theres a lot of real wood, aluminum and other metals in the car...nothing cheap inside it.

  • @jeepguy95
    @jeepguy95 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @20Quirke08 It depends on what you're looking for. If you are looking for a sporty little sedan with cool-looking details, the S60 is a good bet. If you are looking for a luxury, full-sized sedan with luxury details, then get the S80.

  • @derbigpr500
    @derbigpr500 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @strumem90 Nope, Volvo is currently owned by big chinese company Geely. But Geely has absolutely nothing to do with production of Volvo cars. They just finance them. Volvo's are still 100% developed, engineered and produced in Sweden.

    The new V70 (and XC70) will be out next year. I belive Audi will be releasing a new allroad in a couple of months as well (the new A6 is out so I guess its time for the new allroad as well). If you want a new car NOW, then id say buy the Allroad since it will for sure have more fuatures. But then, if you could wait a year I belive the XC70 will be a better choice. The new V40 has marketleading fuel consumption witch will carry on in the XC70 aswell as the 4th (maybe 5th by 2013) gen haldex 4WD.

    We used to have a Mercedes Benz SUV, but in 2006 we bought a Volvo SUV (XC90). The Mercedes was horrible, and broke down in the middle of Tennessee. Last year, we got in 2 near-wrecks with our volvo. the first happened when a man was in the wrong lane when we turned into our driveway. his car was totaled, and ours was FINE. the next time a car slammed into the car behind us making it hit us. we were FINE. the other car was totaled. Volvo has GREAT safety! (and reliability)

    @fordryan0930 You're telling that to a Swede, who even worked at the Volvo factory. I was saying that Volvo's owned by a Chinese company. The HQ is still in Göteborg, Sweden and the cars are produced here (S80, V70, XC70, XC90 and V60) and in Gent, Belgium (C30, S40, V50 and S60). I hope it remains so.

    I'm an audiophile, and though I would love to own this vehicle, it doesn't seem to allow for customized audio applications such as installing a head unit or adding a subwoofer. Sad to say, but other luxury vehicles do offer this option. Therefore, I would pass on the idea of owning this vehicle. :(

    I LOVE the new 9-5 exteior, its mean looking and aggressive. However I HATE the interior. It looks dated centrer stack and then the vent styling across the dash hurts my eyes. If it wasn't for the interior styling (and the steep price) I could talk with the saab dealer.

  • @jsrosa1282
    @jsrosa1282 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @daveyferraro1602 No it's not - Volvos are some of the most durable and reliable cars on the market. If you own one, you will need to find a competent and certified Volvo independent mechanic. The average age of these vehicles when they are discarded is 19.8 years.

  • @Adamv45
    @Adamv45 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @GayUOPXBoy10 I have owned many Volvos. The last one I had was a 1994. They were totally unique in their styling. By stating they look like Buicks means unfortunately they are no longer unique in their styling looking like nothing else. Basically a generic type style has taken them

  • @perfoodleschnitz
    @perfoodleschnitz 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @usnusa2003 This car is not made in an Asian country. It's made in Sweden. Unless Volvo believes that the quality of vehicles produced in China for the Chinese market are good enough for the US market, then they will not bring them here.

    The "i" tells you information about the vehicle from the last time you were near the car with the remote near. So you could be anywhere in the world and check to see if you locked your car (it will illuminate a green light near the lock). Also when approaching the car you may press the "i" to see if your alarm was triggered which will illuminate a red light around the panic key and if the alarm was triggered less then five mins ago it will flash two red lights rapidly...
