For me this is one of the most original rock songs. The song is very sad, his voice is sometimes very full of complaint but at the same time like something nice, its really deep, full of expression, very gripping. Well this song is cold, videoclip as well, but it makes you feel cleanzed. It gives me goosebumps and wet eyes. The demo version of this song even more.
HIM - Join Me In Death HIM - The Funeral of Hearts HIM - Wicked Game HIM - Pretending HIM - In Joy and sorrow HIM - Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart HIM - The Sacrament HIM - Buried Alive By Love HIM - When Love And Death Embrace HIM - Gone With The Sin Ville Valo & Natalia Avelon - Summer Wine
The most recognizable tune by the mighty HIM:) Normally I would add that it still hurts that they had disbanded, but but VV is alive and well and touring again, and I'm happy:)
Killing Loneliness with Kat Von D in the video is great song by them and Funeral of Hearts of course. This was actually released back in 1999 and it’s not Ville Valos favourite songs that they have released but it’s the first that really got noticed.
I think you reacted to this song few weeks ago? But I think it was a live version… But anyways, great band, and Ville Valo is very unique and awesome. They called their music Love Metal, which describes their music very well ( Btw, Blind Channel wanted to have something similar to describe their own music and they named their music Violet Pop). Join Me is from their Razorblade Romance album, which I concider as their best album ever🔥 The band was great live. The band is not together anymore, but hope to see these guys back together some day!
About 1995 ? Finnish Bands are more heavy or melancholic. The Weather is like that there during Winter. Norway, Finland, Sweden, ... it reflects the Mood.
I haven't listened to Him in ages. I should change that. Please check it out their cover of Wicked Game. There's also a Cover of it by Stone Sour. Might be fun to go both as a comparison. Greetings from Germany
What Ville said the song is really about: *What I was trying to do was sort of rip-off 'Don't Fear the Reaper' by Blue Öyster Cult, making a rock track of Romeo And Juliet."[3] Lyrics such as "Would you die tonight for love?" have contributed to the misconception that the song is about suicide, which Valo denies, claiming the lyrics refer to giving things up for the sake of love. "It's not about suicide, that song. It's about giving it all away," Valo told the magazine Modern Fix.[4]
A song with some nostalgic value :) To be honest, I do not consider Valo as a good singer - the voice is memorable and he knows how to deliver (girls went crazy for his looks and style of pretty_bad_bot). - Still, it was pleasent to hear this again!
This song after 21 years still to me the best

bury me deep inside your heart - him. gotta do it
Dunno.if you're aware...every HIM song is a love song. And Ville often equates love and death, in his lyrics.

Thank you for the reaction. To me it`s Sid and Nancy. Please react to Negative: Moment of our love.
I fell in love with Jonne s voice cause of this song ❤
