Just randomly came across this on Netflix and was intrigued by the synopsis so I decided to check it out. I LOVED IT. The two lead actresses were incredible, loved the characters and their chemistry gave me some serious heartburn.
I think that it was like they skipped the whole getting to know each other part of dating (or at least Sergio did) and went straight in for the real thing within 24 hours. It felt like they lived an entire relationship in a day. Like the final thing, where Naima gets a dog, as if they wanted to show that she is trying to distract herself with other things, as you usually do after a breakup. Dunno man. I dunno if I liked the movie or not lol.
Wow that was hurtful to watch. How manipulative Sergio was towards Nima. How she crossed her boundaries. How self centered she acted when Nima cried that she needed a break. How abusive she was by locking her in her own bathroom. How she doesn't respect privacy at all. How she gaslighted her especially in the end. She was such a toxic person, I'm so glad Nima didn't get back together with her.
maybe I’m just not into these types of movies but I hated it. That girl was INSANE, I felt so awkward 😂 I felt like I was actually naima and I felt so uncomfortable omg. And when she took a dump on that pan, that was the last straw.

this movie is perfect for me. I love how complex are the characters and how deep can be a argument looking so simple. if you just stop to think about the movie after whatching it, you'll realise how many beautiful things have in it. I recommend it definitly
This was by far the most bizarre lesbian romance movie I’ve ever watched (I question the writer) 😂 and despite the shit smeared on the window (which was disgusting) I, oddly enjoyed the movie.

i''m not gonna argue it because it's totally true, but the story itself it's completly different. I loved duck butter incredibly more than newness, it looks simple but it is actually really deep.

@@dianenguyen5936 what??? Those two don’t even compare. Newness was filled with love, passion, infidelity, heartbreak, and so much more. It was so intense yet passionate and beautiful in every way possible. This bullshit on the other hard was shit (literally) wasted my time watching it.
Wow! I remember Laia Costa from when she was in the second season of Polseres vermelles. This looks entirely differnt! And she's speaking English here, same as in Victoria...Love her as an actress, she is such a beauty! :)
I watched this lastnight on Netflix. This indie movie was amazing. It was fresh and experimental with a surprising storyline.

The end wad unexpected, and so much experience in '24 hrs' is impossible....but this movie reflected characters and personalities my partner & I have....and we are 6yrs into the relationship❤

i dont know why, but this movie felt like another movie about lesbians that did nothing but sexualize them. It felt like half of the movie consisted of sex scenes and this movie is supposedly PG12. There barely even was a story and the end was more than unsatisfying.
So, this was pretty much just "Blue is the warmest colour" but with less story and more sex

jon snow As far as procreation goes, there is an overpopulation of humans. So who cares if a couple chooses to not procreate? They’re doing the rest of us a favour. Also, so many heterosexual mothers abandon their children due to a various reasons. Often it’s gay or lesbian couples who adopt these children and provide opportunity they would not have had otherwise.

I was pretty charmed in the beginning and interested in how it would play it but after the first couple red flags popped up, I just sat through the rest of the movie in disbelief and stared at the wall for like 10 minutes when it was done 😂😂

@@Leprutz Uh, I myself am a lesbian who advocates heavily for our rights and general communication, fashion, etc. Not sure how/why you misunderstood my response. The red flags I was talking about were in terms of the relationship: the little changes in the Sergio’s behavior that eventually led up to their breakup including her outbursts and sort of manipulative things she would say to Naima.

she saw through Sergio. when her mother came to visit she saw that she wasn't as strong and confident as she thought. When the glitter wore off she got bored/uninterested :/ sad but that's how it happens...

Reham Mohammed I think Nima is afraid to change, & with Sergio she knows that her lifestyle will. She doesn’t even want to unball her fist when she sleeps.
So the movie shows how f**ck up both charachters are, the one is afraid of commitment and the other seeks love because of mother issues I think she did not get enough love and now is struggling, well actually both charachters have mother issues which influences their lives. So the end just shows that the girl with curly hair is on the way of improvement, because she has a dog and the other girl goes on with her life. Actually the movie was horrible to watch I only watched.it because of Laia, I have this feeling the writer wanted to tell something but he got lost, because it had a promising beginning
