Maddie has come so far! Love her for doing a project like this!
100th place lol
❤😅can I join this movie
Yes but it will give her the confidence she may think she doesn't have. But it will earn her the respect she truly deserves. From those who have this disease, and all the important people in the industry. In which I think she was well on her way anyhow.
It’s really weird seeing her doing these projects because she was like little Maddie so this is like cool but like wow she’s all grown up but I’m happy for her 💐!
Yeah, we should’ve frozen her while she was little when we had the chance.. now she’s all grown up and I guess we will all need to watch our feelings and how we all feel about it, like she doesn’t really own her own life and like your or my opinion matters..
@@thegoodthebadandtheugly579 they just said that it was weird seeing her in this role because we watched her as a kid, Jesus 💀
@@pixxi_styxx yeah, but you don’t own her.. your experience is yours to have, but don’t impose it on her.. she is capable of choosing what she wants to do with her body, career, femininity, and everything else.. don’t make it awkward. Life is awkward in any case. Everything changes, morphs, appears and disappears.. we’re all here for a short span of time. Enjoy the order and the madness interweave in front of your eyes while you can.. it doesn’t last forever.
HOLY SHIT! I have MRKH and I am BEYOND excited to see this. I'm 27 now and not having a period or not being able to have kids isn't a big deal to me anymore, but I remember going through everything in this video.
Wow, her acting is great in this trailer!
Her acting is already great

I lost track of Maddy when she stopped updating her YT channel. What a lovely surprise to see that she is acting. Love to see more of her!
Wow! I bet the story is deep. This is gonna be great. Glad Maddie join the movie.
Hope this tops the fallout! First main actress role for her!😢
That seems so cool ! I can't wait !
Such a important movie which will help so many young adults 😊
Wow this can we such a hard part to play and Maddie looked like she smashed it!
As someone with vaginismus this is such an amazing movie
I can’t wait to see this movie
Somebody has to like this dreck, might as well be you.
This is going to be a great movie. She is playing a wonderful part. And it's so sad that this is a real disease. She can pull this off and it's going to be spectacular!
Maddie is the series boldest actress coming into adulthood ever, music, then westsidestory, then fallout, now this fittin in, bold young fresh top notch young queen right here, everybody go so cool it's in theaters February 2nd, 2024 actually excited about seeing a movie for once! Everything perfect an amazing deserves to come to this dance famous chicken, blessing out everyday to her!
I hate when people say S*x is Not a big deal, It is a big deal, a huge deal to alot of us, everyones not the same 😒
I really agree and I hate the sexualizing of young people. Like we don't have to see everything Maddie does with every tool and toy or whatever. I hope this is tastefully done and not just something for a bunch of pervs to sit there and get their rocks off
@@betha.ostrander4127 true
@@betha.ostrander4127well say that to the director don't blame the men or people that's gonna watch it , it's a movie about sex , gender and sexuality DUH!
Sex is for reproduction alone within the wedlock. Kissing is not part of it.
@betha.ostrander4127 I've seen the movie at TIFF and the trailer makes it seem like much more of a comedy than it is. Sure, there's a lot of funny moments but the movie shows the traumatic events the writer/director experienced as a teenager with a very rare medical condition. It may be shocking to some people but it's the reality of women with this condition
When does it come out?
This was like a red band trailer. The best way is to show the explorative nature of the movie, though it reveals the plot
This movie is not out yet
im so exciteddddd!

where can i watch it? i only have netflix lol
I dont have my period yet, and im really scared that i have this.. im young but im super paranoid.

i have MRKH syndrome as well and MRKH is not intersex.
The point of the movie actually questions what's womanhood, the intersex part is just a thought that the protagonist has while trying to understand her body. Just a teenager dealing with things differently.
Nowhere is said that MRKH is intersex.
Also, this movie is mostly inspired by the director's story (she has MRKH) and she's not intersex.
@@Anonymouslittlebee "the intersex part is just a thought that the protagonist has while trying to understand her body" And this is where people are going to get the idea that MRKH is associated with intersex conditions- it is not. You don't need to state something is [x] to recognize that it is [x] with enough representation and association, and this is exactly what the director has done. Many of us, while we appreciate the representation of MRKH, do not appreciate this theme included. This is something we usually don't encounter, and when we do, usually are offended by it. If other women with MRKH have a differing experience, so be it, but don't represent all of us in this light. It's not accurate.
Also, I am aware she has MRKH. We are in the same MRKH Support group on Facebook. She can display her experience with MRKH as she pleases, speak for herself however she may. Doesn't negate that her experience will now be associated with ALL women with this condition. If she wanted to direct her own experiences on having MRKH, she should've made a documentary, not a movie.

A little weird seeing her do something like this, but I'm happy to see she's growing as an actress. She wasn't the best actress at first and it seemed like a lot of her roles had to incorporate her dancing, but she seems to be moving away from that

nothing like adding more fuel to the fire with sexualizing kids. That's hollyweird for you.
You clearly missed the entire plot and point to this.
I know Maddie’s boyfriend was jelly of D’pharroh! Idk if y’all remember when Maddie’s was like “he’s ugly, I don’t like home, ew” gurl bye D’Pharroh is GORGEOUS! I feel like a perv saying that cuz I’m in my late 20s but that kid is beautiful. I got my POC’s back 24/7!

LMFAOOO
That's actually what happens irl, lots of girls with MRKH syndrome came out and said that doctors give a box of those things and send them home with not really that much information
My mum can’t make bbys like she doesnt have that thing, im adopted
(Don’t hate at me pls)
I can think of so many people who lean in a very specific direction politically who will EXPLODE if they had to see this film. 😆😆😆
You mean the women with this condition who are already incensed bc the director tries to insinuate it’s an intersex condition when it’s not? Yeah, I’m one of them
😍😍😍😍😍
I have mrkh syndrome ITS NOT INTERSEX
Omg the main character doesn't identify as intersex, it's just one of the questions that comes in her head while trying to understand what's happening in her body. This is based on the director's experience with being diagnosed with MRKH syndrome and she's not intersex
😮😮😊
I was looking forward to this movie but the trailer looks disappointing to me.
I don’t really like what Maddie movies are about I just remember her as a wonderful dancer but she is getting older so I understand
They could have made this so it wasn’t as graphic! This truly is made for an adult audience. But for any kid going through this, they should not see it due to the sexual content!
I do see your point... however... as someone with MRKH, I get it 10000%. I found out when I was 17 many of the same reasons - most ladies learn of it between 13-17. The world a 17 yo is thrown into after this type of diagnosis is very much is this "graphic" and very much this shocking. Hard to watch (I'm sure), but true. MRKH affects 1 in 5000 women. Never in my wildest dreams did I think there would be a movie about it. Hope you still decide to see it. But I understand all the same
(long rant over, thank you)
@@MissHmmmm it’s still too graphic for minors. There’s actual sex scenes in this. Importance topic yes, dialogue needed, yes, but that graphic- NO
@amyperez7364 but how would someone make a movie about a diagnosis that involves sexual organs.... making it real and viseral ... without sexual content? To me, that is like making a movie about war, without war content. Both are graphic. Let's face it, music videos are pretty graphic too.
As for the age thing, let's clarify - what do you mean by "minors"? Teenage ladies are the ones who would experience this.
I also have MRKH and I don’t think this movie will represent us honestly. It seems to be making light of something that We should be allowed to experience privately. It also takes the diagnosis in a political direction that is disingenuous for the condition
@@JessicaFreeman-uy5po this is a semi-biographical traumedy movie, that means that this is mostly based on the director's experience with being diagnosed with MRKH syndrome (the only thing that's not accurate -and she said this in an interview- is that she didn't have all the technology teenagers have nowadays) she's making light on something that was traumatic for her and wants to share the hell she went through (exactly her words) and also wants teen girls with MRKH to feel seen.
I myself don't have MRKH but I'm in my first year as a young adult and this narrative of "keeping things privately" privated me for understanding my own body and myself. I had to figure things out alone and I'm ashamed to say some things that happen to my body out loud, things that in other contexts could be harmful cause I take it as "normal I guess" and in reality I could have an infection going on.
There's MRKH groups actively supporting this movie on social media, it has a positive review of 97%
Looks good.. good for Maddie.. finally, not taking the safe road like "stranger things girl".. good job..
Really. 🤦🏽♀️

wtf
I dont wanna watch it
Why are you here then?
A movie about Intersex? If so, that is great. There is a cruel lack of representation.
No. A movie about MRKH. The syndrome is not intersex, solely a female syndrome with no clinical criteria being met of "mismatched sex characteristics." The theme of intersex being included is because the filmmaker relates to intersex, that doesn't make the syndrome an intersex condition.
@@jankywanky6594 intersex is not à condition. It is a natural gender.
Thanks for the other information.
It’s not a movie about intersex. It’s a movie about a female reproductive condition that isn’t an intersex condition. They added an intersex character to titillate and stir things up. The director is. Woman with MRKH and knows this, yet she sold us out for attention
Yes, it's a movie about intersex. Don't let others in the mrkh community say it's not an intersex condition just because they're in denial of it... some of us with mrkh embrace being intersex and are proud that it's being talked about!
@@SilverRaiyne No, it isn't. It's about a teenage girl who gets diagnosed with MRKH. MRKH is not an intersex condition, it is not considered intersex clinically. No one is in denial of "being intersex," because they know for a fact MRKH is not intersex and they're not intersex. They are female, thus women, unless they (myself included) identify otherwise. MRKH is a *sex-specific* birth defect of the FEMALE reproductive tract. There are no conflicting male & female characteristics present, which would result in conditions being intersex. Our condition is not that.
Embrace YOURSELF as intersex all you want, but stop labeling women with MRKH as intersex. It is factually not an intersex condition, and rude. You need to have consideration for the wider MRKH community who do not consider themselves intersex as well. When you go around telling others MRKH is intersex, that falls back on us who do not recognize that nor identify with it. You embrace a social label that we don't. You have that, and we have what we have always been- females, women, regardless of a medical condition.
I can help
that movie looks super cringe and lame ...
Then don’t watch it
This movie don't look good at all. Won't be giving it my attention
I love it first time I’ve seen my disorder mentioned in the media
@@Ranidine26 My child has Type 1 MRKH and does not consider herself intersex. I was surprised when I saw her disorder is getting some attention honestly. It never has before. It's not a bad thing. Especially for them. I understand what you are saying about them using for propaganda. I would have to ask her, if it bothers her. Does it shock me, no. But, they do it with everything so whats the difference? I will say this, it's an extremely hard thing for someone to go through. To experience. So I do wish people would handle this subject with more care. This is not a choice for them. It's reality. I am reading through some of the comments in absolute awe of some peoples ignorance and lack of compassion. As the parent of a child who has this, I wish people would be a bit more considerate. Or at least educated on subjects before they speak. I awnsered you because at least you were asking someone who has it, logical questions. But as a parent of a child who has this, I felt like if you were asking someone you did not know such personal questions like, do you consider yourself "intersex" and if so why? I wondered why you did not ask them...." Do you considered yourself having DSD "Disorders of sex development"? Or why you did not say hello to them before asking them anything at all. Perhaps say "Do you mind if I ask you a couple questions about your MRKH and feelings about the approach of this movie?" Mainly because the response they had to this ignorant persons post " this movie don't look good at all"..... was them bothered by the fact that this person's reaction was negative, the very first time their disorder got any attention. It's not always the most comfortable thing to talk about. Something that was not developed when you were in the womb, like it was for most of the population, and something you cannot change. So many feeling come with this at different stages in life. So if you wanna ask someone questions that's a good thing, but first see if they are comfortable with that, or at least do it in a way that's not so abrasive, so they may actually respond.
@@Ranidine26this movie is not propaganda. its a movie with great potential of representing intersex youth
@@bobbelfie8016I am not intersex but I have PCOs with severe symptoms like permanent acne scarring and I have various autoimmune diseases like Hashimoto and fibromyalgia. These are more common conditions never ever portrayed in the media either. I cannot have children as I don't want my children to be destroyed by any of these diseases. This is something encoded in my genes. Celibacy is just an option for all. Sex is not a right to have. You don't have the right to have children at any cost. Wake up!
