I build wind turbines all throughout the US and I must say I'm truly amazed by this! We us the Manitowoc 16000 and some RT cranes when erecting our towers. Awesome video!!! Blattner Energy FTW
They're all over the area I live but I've never seen how they went up until this. Amazing work, sir.
"Why are those giants watching us build the farm?"
"They won't bother us if we don't bother them, keep working."
Is there a way to know if the master builder of this incredible machine did any calculation regarding weight lifting, angles of work, etc? I'm just blown away by it. Such attention to detail....
I liked that and considering it needed outside help for rigging and unrigging would be no different than real life needing riggers to help with line so in that respect I think the model did better in many ways by balancing and fitting all the pieces without intervention. Great thought and foresight went into this model which was obviously scratch built. Great work!
That’s the fastest I’ve ever seen a wind turbine get commissioned and have grid power. 😂
The boy in a German never goes away. Only their toys grow up.
I absolutely agree! :)
Lee Elliott i love Germany. great times.
"You can tell the men from the boys
by the size of their toys" :D
well not always you can tell by their big toys
I bet the wives hear "but I'm getting it for the kids! I swear!" A lot.
At 12:49 you can see how big these models are. Simply amazing!
TH-cam never ceases to amaze me with recommendations.
I cant imagine the time and money these guys have invested in this hobby.
If you have never seen large scale rc planes, jets, and helicopters, check those out. Those things get into $50,000 ranges
This is awesome. I would love to see more info about and how this crane was made.. you make several videos of the finished models in use but what about the making of these brilliant models.. where do we go to see these being made? I am in Melbourne Australia and have scratch built model boats for over 20 years and would love to see how these models are made.
Wow! That has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Incredible craftsmanship!
I just got back into the rc hobby and a fan of rc crawlers/trail rigs. I'm in the middle of building a 1/8 scale Land Rover D110 pickup and I just discovered this channel and man am I impressed. These are some very impressive rigs and makes me want 1 but the wife would kill me if I bring anymore project rc's home 😄
I work in wind energy industry and know how difficult it could have been to make these. The procedure of erecting the turbine is exactly same as original protocol follows.. Insanely awesome.. We are using 600 tonne crane to mount a nacelle of 75 tonne at 120mtr hub height.. Same is used to erect rotor of 113mtr diameter... Super awesome video
That crane is absolutely MASSIVE! I would love To see the time and effort put into that!, amazing!
can u show how they setup the crane and take it down again for transporting would be cool to see so just timelapse it then if its too long :-)
I feel like a kid in a candy store with only lint in my pockets.
Immer wieder toll das Monsterteil zu sehen... DH und LG; Holger
Thank the gods for sending those giants to help the construction 🙏
Великолепное видео! А мне нравится Советская модель башенного крана БК-1000!!!
Наш Советский Гигант!
These are amazing! I can't image the amount of time that went into building these things. Bravo. I'd pay to see the making of that crane and windmill. Thank you for these wonderful videos.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I am happy that at least some of you guys out there can see the value of these RC equipment. Thanks for commenting!
Turbine...not wind mill....turbines make power...mills make flour
must be a crane operator in real life.
This is very awesome, if i had even came close to buying 1 RC like these i would be happy.
amazing all those rc. the spectacular crane
Yeah, this one is really amazing... :)
Well done. That crane is huge
Imagine if all this creative genius was actually put to work.
this might be one of the coolest things ive ever seen
I really do not understand the negative comments on here??
This is clearly an amazing build. 👍👏👏
Im waiting for mini rc peoples to screw in bolts and put on the harnesses 😁😂
An "Able Body" rc?
Lol, I did that job. Was fun, ours were Siemens. Crane was a liebhere that took three days and a 100 ton crane just to put it together. Was second biggest in North America at the time. The nacelle lift was 59000kg’s. Loved everything liebere after working there. Cool machines
Great fantastic model beautifully made and constructed
Unfathomably wonderful! I love to see precision in action. I would enjoy knowing where the plans were located, what were the materials used etc. Bravo to all involved. Thank you for sharing your creation.
プラレ
They need to bring this to the states, I would love to get involved in this! It would make my diecast truck collecting hobby look like child's play lol
It's just sad that a crane like this needs to be built by hand over years, nothing like this is available ready to run.
This is less like RC hobby and more akin to robotics. Really cool and kind of fun to see how some people emulate work as play
the rake of god reaches in to give a hand!
brett cheeseman LOL!
+321Droidbot kmlkk
brett chee
funny asFFFF.. untill i realised that, the rake is usually us in real life anyway. Riggers, doggers, fitters, metal workers engineers haha this was actually more efficient!
Lol so true
That actually looks like a fun thing to do in your free time, with all the setups and stuff.
+Dalton Morgan Absolutely. It's just a lot of work for the owner to transport it and build it up on all the shows.
THE TALLEST RC EVER
Grown ups we become... but the child in us will allways be there!!!
Boys will be boys😉
That's ridiculously awesome!!!!!!!
Nice to read your positive feedback, thank you.
that is truly EPIC :)
That thing is pretty danm impressive!! Great attention to detail by the builder
Agreed. Very impressive.
Congratulations. Incredible machine!
Obviously would have been nice if you gave us some details about the crane
Simplesmente Fantástico.Parabens.
As an Ironworker, this is pretty impressive. And I've actually built a couple wind farms.
@2refloG, you too brother. Local 25. I tied a little rod in Local 1. Back in 2007.
that's the kinda thing i wanted to play with as a kid a rc vehicle that could do work all by itself without any human help.
Aumenta ainda mais a minha paixão por guindastes!😍
I am 6 feet 2 inches tall and that thing is bout 2 times my size it looks like. That thing is the biggest TV I have ever seen. Definitely a cool video
Yeah, this machine is tall! Thanks for your comment.
normally they assemble the blades at the top and not down at the ground but still a fascinating machine
I have worked along side of the real full size Blue Tower crane.... in the 90's it was the biggest tracked mobile crane in the country (UK)
Nice to see the "Rake of God" helping out! Fan bleedin tastic model btw.
It would be very interesting to know some spec of that crane
like how much it weight , how high it is , how much counter weight
witch kind of wire you use , what is the working radius , what is the weight of the big hook
That is a lot of question but they are very intriguing for me
really like that machine and all the work that imply !
That rake is not at the right scale!
Epic :))
Starkes Video, tolles Modell...
Vielen Dank für den tollen Kommentar.
Holy Armatures Batman! That's reaching new heights in RC scale, right there.
Yeah, I agree. This thing is really stunning. Thanks for commenting.
Ba dum tsss
Did you test it to overload capacity? If so how much did it lift successfully? great build!
Crazy what amount of time it takes to build such crane !
I would like to have one of the trucks. I would ue it to haul crates of water from the garage to the house. Amazing machines and God video. Thank you.
Mooie video's wacht vol verwachting op meer
1:56 And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how. you make a baby. I mean - wind turbine! Phew!
Wahnsinns Modelle und ein tolles Video. ✌️🚀
Man I bet that took a lot of work. They have been building wind towers near where I live for about the 6 months. Every night sections of wind towers go up the road on trucks.
Top,Top,Top nicht zu überbieten , Klasse
awesome rc cane
Cool that you like it, thanks for your positive feedback.
This show looks really cool
Nice job 😎
Best video ever they actually built sum, it’s lit!!!
perfekt gemacht.tolles Video.hat mir gut gefallen.1
I'm a grown ass man on vacation laying in bed and watching some damn TH-cam video of toys putting together a freaking windmill....FU@KING AWESOME SHIT!!!
OWWW! OK... Not quite seriously - the boy who has the biggest toy when he dies, wins! ;) On the really serious side... Yikes! :O How many thousands of hours hasn't gone into this amazing operation!?!?! I am full of admiration! Seems I have to get myself a serious hobby!
Absolut geil gemacht
Very impressive. It's difficult enough to erect the same model except in 1/18th scale. Has to sit center room on a display table so the top of the mast doesn't hit the ceiling.
Cool video thanks for posting
My pleasure, thank you for your feedback!
That is a nice RC show the crane is cool nice video thanks
Love it greetings from srilanka 🇱🇰
Have a Nice Day DIY Brothers ❤❤😘😘😍😍
How much weight can that thing lift? Cool stuff
Amazing.....Awsome!!
Thank you.
It's no surprise why German engineering is so good if young people have a big interest in rc models instead of pointless game stations good for them well done
Am I the only one who found this satisfying
I don't think so... ;)
Nice Video, RC Truck
nice work:-) thanks for sharring
My pleasure, thanks for your positive feedback.
The video is awesome..Once that nacelle popped off in real life... boy... also i dont know of any vestas turbines built this way. They add one blade at a time in the air. But a great display.
That thing is massive
Yeah, I agree! Thanks for commenting.
Felbermayr Liebherr LR 11000 1,000 tonne lifting capacity crawler crane, included a 42-metre main mast with a derrick boom, a 260-tonne revolving platform ballast and a 320-tonne suspended ballast as well as a gas turbine weighing in at 457 tonnes, a generator at 450 tonnes, a transformer at 425 tonnes, and a 145-tonne steam turbine.
Amazing toys!
Geweldig deze demonstratie !
Yes! Bedankt for commenting.
덕중에 덕은양덕! 인정합니다!
It's the happiest place in the world!
No tag line!!?? Hahaha
I loooooove it. Everything else is a little 🧚🏿 in thebackground . I am in awe of all the work put into all the details.
Incredible!
This is very cool because my favorite thing is wind towers
Wow! Just wow!
This reminds me of Fraggle Rock!
This is cool. I would love to see this in the states.
I read that so often... So sorry that you do not have that RC scene.
Cool Video:) Crane operator calls to ground team ( We have a Big Problem can't get cables off Better Call Rakeman he just put Godzilla in his place so he is available! 😀
Geil 👌
Hahahahahha sogar die mini-Paletten 🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂😂👍👍👍
As far as I know, the first guy to build a working model Lampson Transilift was Gerald "Bud" Kahn from Mt. Vernon, WA. He started back in 1982, soon after the first real Transilifts had set the reactor vessels at WPPSS nuclear plants then under construction. He used to advertise and sell blueprints. He bought many materials at Boeing Surplus. He was my foreman in the receiving warehouses at the Snelson-Anvil Corp. Modular Fabrication Site in Anacortes, WA, where we built huge modules for ARCO Alaska Kuparuk Project. We oftentimes had several Lampson Manitowoc cranes working there.
That is so cool , I want it !
Best people ever I wish I could be like you someday
holy crap THAT CRANE IS BIGGER THAN
ME!!
Здорово, ювелирная работа!
I will follow your activities, Good content
Majestical!
Nice that you like it, thanks for commenting.
