4:43 in this manga panel isshin doesn't seem to know what ability does ichigos final getsuga grant him in which further enforces my theory about their getsugas being different and also if my theory about the final getsuga being isshins technique and not a shiba family technique of course both of their abilities will be different unlike komamuras family technique
"if my theory about the final getsuga being isshins technique and not a shiba family technique of course both of their abilities will be different unlike komamuras family technique" seems like you don't know much about bleach facts so you can't give example, ok, i give you example, just see soifon shunko and yoruichi shunko.
According to Q&A #472 by Tite Kubo on his fansite "Klub Outside", Zanpakutō can share similarities between Shinigami with a blood connection, as evidenced with Zangetsu and Engetsu having similar names and sharing the Getsuga Tenshō ability.
This tranformation of ichigo ties down to the theme of self acceptance. Ichigo from the start of this arc was hateful of his inner hollow, he was constantly rejecting it. He only tapped into to it to get powers but never accepted infact he impaled the white. Continously rejecting this it came back stronger in ulquiorra fight, it made him fearfull of it, white is his instincts, violent impulses, his dark side , a part that of himself that he hates but its still him after his inner world being drown by the despair and hate for white (his inner self) zangetsu and white merged becoming one representing his true inner soul, he constantly fought it for months but it was revealed by the end thats not what he needed to do, ichigo realised and let zangetsu pierce him (accepting the blade) meaning accepting both of his sides, poetic of how he imapled white earlier and rejected him but for him to get stronger he needs to accept both his likeable and hateable sides. So in conclusion, its a natural progression from the start, its accumulation of all of ichigo's struggle in that arc. From the narrative persepctive it was what this whole arc of ichigo been about
This is the reason why Ichigo vs aizen is my favourite. Aizen achieved godhood(enlightment) by hogokyu because he reached a ceiling, he was unable to get stronger from within himself , he also constantly put everyone away from himself Wheras ichigo grew from his inner strength and people around him wre the drive, ichigo achieved godhood by true means
@@luffys_another point to add is that, to achieve bankai one must self reflect, self discover & self accept. Aizen dosent use bankai because he didnt complete those 3 phases. And its possible hr dont have one & may never get one, until he goes through those 3 phases. 🙏👍
One thing to note is that he might've accepted zangetsu/his hollow powers, but he never considered it a part of himself, thus he still didn't understand them/himself. In The Blade is Me we finally get the proper conclusion to this arc, as he accepts Zangetsu and all his power sources as part of himself, thus gaining the same strength he had vs Aizen in his new Shikai state (was stated by Yhwach).
@@paledrake that's totally nonsense lol. Did everyone here don't know how to research on bleach facts instead rely on "STATEMENT ONLY". I always see people use this lazy and ignorant method to prove something. But if i said "so, ichigo convert all of his reiatsu into physical ability is facts, are you serious" And the hypocrisy begins.
Aizen achieved godhood by artificial means and sheltered himself from everyone which robbed him of any humanity he might have had. Ichigo went through genuine introspection to achieve a even higher level and was left with nothing but his humanity for the people he cares about.
Aizens Transformations was perfect its Something philosphical The Hogyoku is Aizens "Power to Will" I This is a Concept created by Nitzsche who was a German philosopher and Aizen is also Based on the "Übermensch" by Nitzsche The Hogyoku is the Power to overcome Any obstacle If your will is strong enough If you Look at Aizen it works He overcame Gins Bankai through the Hogyoku and its will, He Overcame Ichigos Dangai Form and He would have beaten Ichigo entirely If Urahara didnt Seal him
@@tensazangetsu7062 but he didn't because he relied on the will of a gem instead of his own. Ichigo truly transcended because he fought and suffered for it. Aizen basically said ⬆️⬆️⬇️⬇️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️🅱️🅰️Start and got mad when it didn't work lol
Ichigo vs Aizen. Ichigo- looked within for true Strength. Aizen- sought external means & rejected his true inner strength. Ichigo- developed bonds & connections with others. Aizen- cut off all ties with the one's who cared for him. Ichigo- embraced his humanity & ascended, both figuratively & literally. Aizen- rejected his humanity & became a monster both literally & figuratively. 👍
Aizen never forged meaningful bonds or connections with anyone, never cared about anyone in the first place. It's the entire point of his character. He is alone at the top.
It doesn't count as an asspull if you establish its existence like 30 chapters before its use, then spend those chapters training for it, then finally deliver on the promise you set up many chapters previous. Like you don't have to dig for any more reasons, because that by definition makes it NOT an asspull
It wasn't established 30 chapter before use, it was established like 5 chapters before... Like it was training > Aizen terrorizing his friends > Final fight. There was no buildup.
Tbh, for a story as long as Bleach it was introduced way too early to not feel rushed, whilst I do like Dangai Ichigo and the Mugetsu, it did come off to me like it came out of nowhere.
Mugetsu is just Ichigo's version of Letzt Stil, Just like how ishida lost his quincy powers to use it, so did ichigo, and just like how ishida recovered by having an arrow pierce his heart, so did ichigo have a blade pierce his heart to recover his powers
Great video! I feel like all of this stuff is pretty self explanatory, if you're actually paying attention to what's going on in the story. I'm not saying Bleach is perfect, but Kubo definitely sets things up and foreshadows a lot of points in his writing.
When you first read Bleach, you assume that the final getsuga tensho must be something Isshin achieved as well. His sword engetsu is similar to zangetsu, and getsuga tensho is a technique they both share. This leaves two obvious threads unanswered. How does Isshin have powers if he achieved the FGT, and why do no other shinigami or zanpakuto have this "final form" Ichigo and Isshin have? But when we learn about Masaki, we have to consider that the FGT was a quincy technique. -Isshin would know of it, but not have this power himself, because he knows Ryuken and Masaki -like Letz Stille, it's a single amplification of power followed by losing his powers -like Letz Stille, Ichigo wears a glove tailored to his weapon on his right hand, which disappears when he enters his final form -the final getsuga form has no white in it, which symbolizes Ichigo's hollow side, and his reishi is black and blue, not black and red (red also being indicative of his hollow side, his cero etc), and we know now that Old Man Zangetsu is not Ichigo's zanpakuto. White is both Ichigo's zanpakuto *and* his hollow powers. Hence why Ichigo's asauchi is a white hollow -Ichigo directly mimics old man zangetsu, who is a fragment of Yhwach, when he becomes final getsuga Ichigo The only problem with this is that if this is true, Ichigo should have only lost his quincy powers doing this, while still having his *real* shinigami powers. Likewise, Rukia and the captains shouldn't be able to restore Ichigo's shinigami powers in the fullbring arc by impaling him with the zanpakuto made from their collective reishi. It also means he should have no longer had Yhwach inside him, and regaining his shinigami powers should have left him with only white. Basically there are big problems with Ichigo's quincy powers despite The Blade is Me being peak.
While in Mugetsu, while it's very likely true that his quincy side was the majority, him fighting the fused Tensa Zangetsu in his inner world before (which is basically a preview to horn of salvation) would imply that all his different powers were made into one during that moment (and this tracks with the fullbring arc since he had full control over his hollow powers after he got his full powers back). If he used most, if not all the power he had at the time for what was essentially a hyper-powered Letz Stille, it stands to reason that the consequence is essentially when Rukia gave her powers at the start of series or when Uryu lost his (again, this tracks with how at the start of fullbring, it's mentioned that Ichigo still has spirit energy). And of course, powers or not he's still a quincy so he can still absorb reishi, so even if he loses everything he can probably still get resupplied.
I just discovered this channel recently and I am so happy for that discovery, I love how you give explanations about the show that I can understand that's not just reading off Wikipedia, plus my friend who just finish bleach, is saying that a lot of ichigo's transformations are just asspulls so I sent him your videos and it changes his mind. I hope you continue to make videos and your channel grows beyond❤❤❤
@@justwind6930 no what I was trying to say is that most of these commentary TH-camrs that explains stuff about bleach just sound soulless and robotic and the videos are stretched out so long at a barely learned anything at the end of it
I think another thing people overlook is that this is actually not even ichigos full potential. He still didn't understand himself or his powers. The transformation was actually incomplete as a result of this. He hadn't obtained a true shikai yet. I'd argue his dangai mugetsu form was slightly below true shikai as a result of being incomplete. We see ichigo being way beyond mugetsu ichigo in his training with squad zero. Ichigo always had crazy potential and power, his misunderstanding of himself is what lead to him being weaker in his fights. He doesn't always win or get his full strength right away but I think its fine. I like that bleach explores mental understanding as a power creep as opposed to just brute force training.
There are a capauble of problems with this. One. just time flowed differently in the dangai doesn't mean it foreshadowed that Isshin had some secrete technique that Isshin would be teach Ichigo to face Aizen when he became a god-like figure. Two. using Nanao and Komarmno as examples as an extreme form of overgeneralization as not only did these techniques happen after final getsuga tenshou and don't even really serve as form of foreshadowing, but the techniques they used are not even remortly similar to Final Getsuga. with Nanao's technique basically being a speiscal zanpakuto that is meant to be served in rituals and used to fight against gods and Kommaru's technique having less to due with his own zanpakuto and more of his own clan being cursed to have beast like forms and performing a ritual to gain a temporary use of there true forms and a immortal body by carving out there heart and offering it. Three. Aside from both technique resulting in losing there powers...the Final Getsuga tenshou and Letzt Stil are complete opposites in how they are function and who they are used. Letzt Stil pushes a quincy beyond there human limits and gives them reishi domination. allowing to break down solid spiritual matter and assimlated them to further increase there strength. while the final Getsuga tenshou involves the shinigami to fuse with their zanpakuto and become Getsuga itself in one single attack. 4. Whenver Aizen wanted to win or not...is irrevalent to the actual problem people have with this. The reason why people have a problem the Final Getsuga Tenshou is that it shatters the readers and viewers supescion of disbelief. by not just making Ichigo more powerful then Aizen but out Ichigo on a level of transendence beyond even Aizen's level and reducing the big bad to a freaking punching and full on idoit for not realizing it. If the final getsuga tenshou was hinted at least a little bit before-hand like in one example Tekking gave have Zangestsu mention that Ichigo might be ready for it or may have to eventually use without saying the name. then most fans wouldn't have much of a problem that.
Nanao example is actually an even bigger asspull than FGT because the sword is never explained in detail. "It reflects the power of god": Okay, what constitutes as the power of god? Lille wasn't a god, he was still just a Quincy. Does it reflect the Soul Kings powers? Lille was never stated to be powered by a part of the soul king like Gerard, Gremmy or Pernida. So does it just reflect light overall? Who knows. If it just reflects anything it is extremely op as it basically just makes you almost unbeatable, able to reflect anything and everything back at your opponent. Nanao was never strong and never trained in anything except Kido + had never had any major contributions to the story. This makes such a convenient and/or overpowered tool seem to come out of nowhere. The only thing that hinted towards this is her not having a sword, but to make the sword THIS overpowered and underexplained is pretty much the definition of an asspull. The swords power itself doesn't even fit in narratively. How does it reflect Nanao's character?
Just a few counter arguments, because I think a few points were missed. Isshin has a close personal relationship to the scientist that can swap a scale replica of a city within two dimensions just one arch prior, and the common villain they are facing made an artificial star in a dimension of eternal night an arch before that. All that was needed for the viewer to accept the dangai training was a workable or even likely plan is simply knowing the dangai has different properties and applying what the story has shown about shinigamis technological abilities. I agree with you the most about the familial abilities not being the best argument here, but a look at the noncannon stories and noting that there are some cannon examples of familial similarity (all the Shiba clan members seem to have some link to elemental influence: Engetsu, Nejibana, Sepa, ect.) I'd say there's at least some variance that should prime the reader/viewer to accept the rules being more flexible for Ichigo when it comes to set up. The story had already set up ichigo as an exception with the question of how his dad happened to be an incredibly powerful soul reaper this whole time. When it comes to the similarities with Mugetsu and Letzt Stil, you should expect Ichigos rendition to vary from the common variety, because he's not practicing it as a normal quincy, he's doing so as a hybrid with hollow and soul reaper influences. The similarities continue with the fact that he shares the same hair and eye color as Yhwach, and the weapon he wields is made entirely out of reishi similar to a quincy heilig. pfeil. In fact before his asaukchi is forged by Nimaiya, he didn't have a zanpoktou, just a fake one he imprinted his powers onto that he likely made subconsciously with condensed reishi with his quincy powers.
@ again the dangi being used for training due to time going slower does nothing in foreshadowing isshin having a techqinue having that involves have the user fusing there Zanpakuto as an attack and Ichigo’s zanpakuto aside from having the same technique as isshin is not even elemental type and does nothing in foreshadowing it either. And to say that Ichigo is somehow an exception complety dismissive the fact that the differences between the letz Stil and the final Getsuga Tenshou are purely superficial and are the complete opposite of one another in how they function. Especially since the sword in Ichigo's hand isn’t even made out of reshi but the latter’s own Spirtual power. Hence him becoming Getsuga itself.
And this ignores that flat out stated that Ichigo's zanpakuto was from his shinigmai powers not his Quincy powers as they only awaken after his battle with Quigle when Ichigo was trying to break out of his cage.
@@soulman9018 the manga specifically goes out of its way to show he wasn't using a real zanpoktou up until he meets Nimaiya in the soul palace. Normal soul reapers can't just make their own zanpoktou. Ichigos quincy powers were active before he began fighting the quincy, he just began instinctively using them at that time. Being a quincy was one of the main reasons he could see ghosts as a child.
This is why i love bleach. Stories arent based on the world they are based on charecters the world is just the background. Kubo uses poems minus chapters to add to the characters what world building cant that is *emotion* thats why i never like naruto or one piece because rather than developing the self they talk about useless social issues. In this age of stimulating social media people lose their sense of self and become part of group which at the end of the day puts them under a system which only increases the time to reach our full potential do you agree kumo? .
I agree but i think you are a bit biased against naruto and one piece They are a different type of story that are on the same level as bleach The problem is people treat bleach as if it is straight up bad unlike Naruto and one piece because they are deeper and more complex etc.. Meanwhile i believe bleach is better in these two aspects
@@__Kumo yeah exactly but if bleach is better in those 2 aspects how are they better than it or on the same level . Kubo knows how to write women to that for me is 1 million + social credit points .
@mrhatandclogs i think one piece has a better story , world building , main cast ichigo is better than luffy tho and drama Naruto and Sasuke dynamic is fantastic the villain cast can't be overlooked as well as the fights being nearly on par with bleach Narutos dramatic scenes made me cry my eye balls out even though i haven't finished it yet In my opinion each one of the big 3 has its weaknesses and strength Bleach is by far my favorite but the other two are fantastic Good luck with your engineering entrance btw I am also struggling with posting videos and my computer science degree 😔

I don't understand people when they say there wasn't any Bulid up to Dangai ichigo / Mugetsu. When literally he medicated/ trained for Months at a stretch and Sacrificed his powers to end Aizen's onslaught. Bulid up was appropriate, ofc not like a bankai reveal but come on it wasn't a bankai like power up either it was something original to Ichigo himself... and He Surprised us good even though we anticipated the power reveal. Mugetsu was Genius
Ichigo's getsuga tenshou is a ranged slash attack, while Isshin's is a close ranged slash attack. The person who originally taught Ichigo getsuga tenshou was old man zangetsu, the embodiment of Ichigo's Quincy powers in his inner world. Ichigo's getsuga tenshou is likely a combination of the quincy ranged style (as quincies primarily use bows made of reishi), and the shinigami style (as shinigami primarily use swords and melee weapons). With the merger of these two styles you get a ranged slashing attack. As Ichigo tapped into more of his inner hollow, his getsuga tenshou took on a darker appearance like that of a cero oscuras.
Ichigo's final getsuga is not only really cool and you can kinda see it coming , however you can only see it's real situation in the thousand year blood war arc , where it's revealed Ichigo is part quincy (back in the day the comunity was memeing on him being quincy too and it turns out to be true). And old man zangetsu is not Zangetsu , hence his final getsuga is not only him using his bankai , but his quincy power , the reason the others didn't feel his spirit pressure is that quincys use that to do their thing , this is the reason the shinigamis have a hard time locating them in TYBW , which btw he really didn't know he had that and other characters theorized it was because he was giga strong. Also remember he never recognized white as his zanpakuto but old man zangetsu , who is his quincy blood and who he combined with , so i theorize that his final getsuga is an unpolished incomplete technique. And we later see others do something similar , the most obvious comparisons are the bimbos and their wings. Anyway , if you think about it this way , shinigamis release spiritual pressure and quincys consume it to do their thing , hence Ichigo doing the final getsuga released all his pressure and then consumed it in a final attack.
I always believed (before TYBW) that Isshin lost his powers because He used this technique way back. I thougt it would have been cool, if early on, they introduced a giant crater in soul soceity, or something like that, and later revealed it was Isshin's tranfprmation that caused it. I still believe it is somewhat of an asspull tough, as it was not foreshadowed at all... A similar example (tough way worse, and arguably Boruto doesn't even exist) would be in naruto, the barion mode... Or in dragonball the ssj3... It was also an asspull, and just because something can be explained retrospectively, by writing around bits of the story, and making new stuff up, it does not make the fact disappear, that it's just been made up...
Old man Zangetsu was suppressing a lot of Ichigo's power but he accepted to let Ichigo use all of his power before he went to fight with Aizen again. But just simply allowing him to use his full power was not enough. His body won't stand a chance against his own latent potential. So that 3 month training made Ichigo capable of wielding his full power and with his Zanpakuto's acceptance, he was able to use his real potential.
There are examples pre tybw i just gave those because they are the most recent and also to enforce the fact that kubo stayed consistent with techniques like that
@__Kumo right but if you're arguing that Mugetsu isn't a plot convince and those points are reinforcing that they don't work if they come after the fight
@@arjunhooda9153 i believe kubo should have extended that fight in the manga even more but due to time constraints he couldnt so studio pierrot included an expansion to that fight in the movie however that expansion wasn't faithful to kubo original vision.. @@__Kumo "constraints"...I watched the latest video of DBZimran "Kubo saves his best ideas for hell arc"...he explained why the bleach is a better piece of fiction than it looks to an outsider...and how Kubo went through many restrictions some of which he put on himself just to make the story interesting...he has backstory written for like most of the characters...even ichigo's 6-7 friends...several stories and hidden details that only he knows...and so much more that is in his mind..after watching that video I became a bigger fan of bleach than I ever was and...a bigger enthusiast fo such beautiful piece of fiction and the creator...I highly recommend you to watch that video if you haven't...uhh and I had one question...is the hell arc confirmed by Kubo or...is Kubo yet to decide that he wants to extend the story??
@anmolkatiyar5809 i will give it a shot then , as for the hell arc.. there should be an arc as he already made a one shot in addition to being the only unexplained realm in the world of bleach however it is not confirmed yet that he will continue it after tybw ends but chances are never zero
wouldn't final getsuga be a foreshadow or preparation to the blade is me? he literally became his attack and later we find out the sword is him as well
Yes it is Final getsuga tensho is a power obtained by acceptance of both of his sides (good and bad) yin and yang but at that point in story he had no knowledge of his past The blade is me is complete undestanding, acceptance and harmony of of his inner self. He basically got one step closer to self actualize by final getsuga tensho. Also merged zangetsu+white is basically hos ichigo
Wow, we think similarly. 👍 some of the themes of Bleach's story is about self reflection, self discovery, & self acceptance. Aizen didnt use bankai because he did not self reflect nor accepted himself. Ichigo, however was willing to confront his reality & self reflected, self discovered & accepted himself, even the parts of him self that he hated 🥹🙏👍
@@kelvinallen9327 agreed on the aizen part aizen thought he wanted to become the new soul king but he actually wanted a real connection with someone, meaning he only strayed further from his actual desire and self, eventually having rejected his shinigami part/zanpakuto/himself and getting much weaker because of that (also the hogyoku) then in tybw after being imprisoned in muken for nearly 2 years he's clearly different and even began valuing death as a fundamental part of existence, which is ironic since he feared it originally which is why he became immortal
It is! But the way Kubo went about it was weird. Isshin just so happens to know an all out technique and also knows how to stop the flow of time in Dangai which conveniently gives Ichigo time to train. All of this is brought up on the spot, no buildup. But tbh who cares, it's not really a big deal. It's not the biggest asspull and the only thing not explained to this day is how Isshin knows about FGT/the Shiba clan harboring such a technique. Nanao having a perfect and obtuse coutner vs Lillie is way bigger of an asspull tbh.
@@paledrake shutara's bankai did put 8 mirrors around lille and nanao's zanpakuto has 8 mirrors though i agree it's a deus ex machina but it was planned
Isn’t dangai basically ichigo bankai if he wasn’t conflicted with white zangetsu and not afraid to use his hollow powers etc it’s basically ichigo without a mindset/metality nerf and mugetsu being all the built up reiatsu and he lost his powers bc he burned himself out depleting all reiatsu
It was a savior achieving his inner power to save his home from an egomaniac god wannabe. More so since said wannabe was going to wipe out thousands upon thousands of unsuspecting innocents. Ichigo went for his inner strength in this dark hour to win, there were no other options.
The problem is that it had basically no build-up. All the parts (FGT-technique, Dangai time manipulation, Dangai time-stop technique) are all explained directly in the moment. The only thing that was foreshadowed is Ichigo's full potential being suppressed. The fight between Aizen and Ichigo made sense narratively, but it was sloppily executed. Isshin could've considered using FGT during his fight with Aizen at least to make the buildup seem less sudden and back-heavy. But tbh Bleach only having 1 or 2 big asspulls isn't bad considering Shonen are usually filled with them. It stands as a testament of how well-written Bleach is.
Isshin using Bankai requires him to not take much battle damage. He was smacking around Shinigami Aizen pretty easily, then after he transformed he probably went over that damage threshold. On top of that, there’s a theory Isshin couldn’t access all of his powers after being disconnected from his zanpakuto for so long, as he didn’t even use Shikai against Aizen As for the Dangai, it’s time manipulation was a key part in the SS arc. It’s the whole reason why they had enough time to rescue Rukia, they time traveled And for Ichigo’s Dangai/FGT forms, Dangai isn’t really a form, it’s just Bankai Ichigo with 3 months of non stop training. And I mean literal non stop. Most of the time when you hear someone’s been training for a year, that’s obviously including breaks but Zangetsu quite literally didn’t let Ichigo get a moment to rest for all 3 of those months. And FGT is just a high level zanpakuto technique. Pretty much every and all Shinigami confront their zanpakuto spirits for new moves and techniques, but due to Ichigo’s special nature he learned a special technique from his zanpakuto, and even then it’s just a variation of Getsuga Tensho when you really break it down
Brodie did you not watch the video? All the Dangais properties were introduced WAY before this moment, and hinted at during the time dilation being different almost every time someone enters and leaves. The only thing you can argue is an asspull is the FGT-Teqnique itself.. And even then, the precedence for such a technique existing isn’t far fetched because we saw Uryu do something similar in the beginning of the series. Therefore making it a biiit of an asspull, but not an unfounded one. People getting upset over it are just those who are extreme sticklers when it comes to sorry telling.
@@JinxeBlaq The time dilation was there, but it wasn't 10 minutes in human world = 3 months in SS. The technique used to slow things down wasn't hinted at ever. The whole thing is an asspull, but honestly don't mind it cause it was cool af. I still will be honest about it and call it an asspull though. I'm not a blind fan.
@@truthspreader1996 They only say that the Shiba clan was one of the 5 main noble clans of the soul society, that due to the crime of Isshin (ichigo's father) they were banished out of the soul society. They also say that the Shiba clan's specialty is their "trump card", other clans have their specialties such as Clan Kushiki being the richest family in the soul society (trully, they said that Byakuya's scarf alone is worth more than several secondary clan houses), and Clan Shioin being founders and heirs to the secret service of the 2 squad. Focusing on the Shiba family, the members of the clan have the advantage of beeing born naturally with lots of reiatsu and their zanpakutou where they sacrifice their powers in order to gain a more astronomical power boost. AKA Mugetsu. Similar to the Komamura clan (a secondary clan) who sacrifice their powers for an immortal human form, but much more powerful.
You can defend him getting the final technique. But the level of strength he gained from a simple "training arc" is complete bs. Aizen is leagues above captains, to the point he can solo several of them at the same time. At the time of the training, ichigo might be able to handle one strong captain at most. After the training not only does he gain the technique but it's also gapping aizen is spiritual pressure and sword play for no reason. Had kubo focused on just giving him that new technique it wouldn't look like an asspull. But the fact that the Mc just gets to gap over a short training arc the main bad guy who was leagues above him, it's dumb. He also never gets back to that power level. I would argue that end of the series ichigo is weaker than the one gapping aizen and destroying mountains with just a parry
You are missing the point , the power he gained isnt illogical because he always had that potential in him it is omz who prevented him from using it up until that point
I agree that the dangai being used as a hyperbolic time chamber area to train was foreshadowed but the power he attained wasn’t justified. He essentially meditated for 3 months in his inner world but that was for the FGT, it don’t really make sense for his base bankai form to get that much stronger. So they just said he transfers his spiritual energy to his physical stats (which was an ass pull cus no one had ever come close to doing that) And it was weird that after 3 months of training he could suddenly attain the power of the gods that aizen had been trying to get to for 500 years. obv now we know ichigo has the power of every race, which is why he can get strong so fast but at the time we didn’t know that, which is why it felt a little cheap. And the FGT has the opposite problem, with it having no foreshadowing. Isshin brought it up randomly right before the fight with aizen with ZERO foreshadowing previously. That can’t be denied, it’s an ass pull. It doesn’t make sense for the shiba to have a transcendent technique like that without any build up. What kubo should’ve done was either have ichigo’s backstory be told in the dangai by isshin and then have him master the Vasto lorde transformation to use against aizen which was much more clearly built up, or have isshin display the Final getsuga Tensho against Aizen in FKT, lose, and then teach it to ichigo in the dangai. Still a lot of transformations in anime have this ass pull effect, but I don’t think it hinders FGT and Dangai because they are still INCREDIBLY COLD and the extra drip helps too.
Final getsuga tenshou is not a god level technique. Its something unique to ichigo & his father. Not all shiba clan members can use getsuga tenshou. Its unique to ichi & his dad alone. Kien shiba cant use getsuga. 👍 Ichigo's final getsuga was powerful because Ichigo himself was powerful. His dad's would be less powerful. Ichigo being this strong was built up & foreshadowed since long ago. Why do you think Aizen kept pushing Ichigo?? Because Aizen knows wat his Creation is Capable of 😂👍. And why did you think Aizen destroyed the Cleaner ?? Because Aizen wanted Ichigo to use it. 😂👍 Ichigo's dad hid the truth about him being a soul reaper for so long, he had to rush things due to the Aizen situation. In TYBW Isshin finally had one-on-one talk with Ichigo. 👍
@@kelvinallen9327Never stated that the FGT is exclusive to ichigo and his dad. If zanpakuto abilities are passed down from family then isshin and the rest of the shiba clan originate from a common ancestor that would be the first user of the getsuga. Kaien didn’t even have Bankai. He wasn’t Captain class so it makes sense he never got to learn getsuga but def had the potential to do so. We knew ichigo was strong but we didn’t know why at the time. That’s why it felt cheap. Either way FGT was an asspull which my whole argument. Dangai is fine bc it was foreshadowed.
Ichigo getting a massive power up makes perfect sense, because a soul reaper's powers are directly connected to their understanding of themselves and their zanpakuto, and the reason why Ichigo is able to obtain so much power in such a small amount of time compared to other characters is because, as Aizen states there is a limit to the power for those that don't break the barriers between soul reapers and Hollows. Even if Aizen has tried to obtain that level of power for 500 years it doesn't matter, because he himself only broke the barrier about half a day before him and Ichigo fought. There is also the fact that Ichigo is not in Bankai, but just like Aizen has evolved to a stage above it The FGT does kind of feel like an ass pull, but it is framed as something that is unique to Ichigo and Isshin, so there is only really that one scenario in the dangai where he teaches him the FGT, because it is literally the only time where Isshin has time to tell Ichigo about it. It would also not work for Isshin to use it in the fight, because the training in the dangai relies on Isshin using his powers to surpress it, something he wouldn't be able to do unless he had his powers, so using it means he wouldn't be able to learn it.
@Stuffi2OO2 I understand. But people need to understand that Aizen knew Ichigo was capable of getting this Strong. Thats why he kept pushing him. He even destroyed the Cleaner, Spared him, had Uluquora & Grimjoww push him. It was Aizens plan. So, no, Ichigo having this much power was built up & foreshadowed. Also, if he was only just a soul reaper, then who the hell is Old Man Zangetsu 😦😨. And why does Ichigo have two zanpakuto spirits that are completely different 😨😦. Its because Ichigo is different & Aizen knew his potential. 👍 Kubo is genius 👍
@@kelvinallen9327 you misunderstand. All of this information about ichigo being every race wasn’t presented to us during the arrancar saga. So at the time, it felt cheap cus ichigo could get so strong without any explanation.
Listen I get to people hate it but that is barely enough to be considered a win. Everyone else was saved by dongai ichigo. Ichigo was saved by urahara. His ultimate big move he gave everything for didnt do anything. If not for urahara it wouldnt have mattered. Evwryone would have died aizen won. Urahara was the asspull of that entire situation.
aizen will be evolve and destroy ichigo??? lol aizen already evolve 3 times still doesn't match for dangai ichigo, and you still think that would be the case, that's delusional. even he was too happy with the power that obliterated the mountain by saying "I didn't think my power was this far", which was nothing to Ichigo and had made the power gap very clear. there's still people who think ichigo final getsuga tensho is letzt still? that's crazy.
1- so he cant evolve even more tf? aizen didnt even use his shikai in addition to being immortal he would have cooked ichigo if not for uraharas seal 2- he wasnt happy he could destroy a mountain even kid aizen can achieve far greater feats, the shockwave was the one destroying the mountain not aizen 3- the final getsuga isnt letzt stil but it is similar "an attack that concentrates all of your spiritual power into one slash with the draw back of losing your power after"
Aizen could have eventually surpassed Ichigo if he kept evolving. Did you not realize that TYBW Aizen is on the same level of dimensionality with that Ichigo? He transcended again. That was why he was able to sense Yhwach while others could not.

The disconnect is definitely due to kubo "show dont tell.....ever"😂 because the getsuga tensho is a technique not an ability to ichigo. The FGT is the technique..for how to achieve "Mugetsu " which is a zangetsu ability. According to Q&A #472 by Tite Kubo on his fansite "Klub Outside", Zanpakutō can share similarities between Shinigami with a blood connection, as evidenced with Zangetsu and Engetsu having similar names and sharing the Getsuga Tenshō ability.
@JackWitt-g9p so what about ginjo 🤣
@@justwind6930 Ginjo absorbed a portion of Ichigo's power.
This tranformation of ichigo ties down to the theme of self acceptance. Ichigo from the start of this arc was hateful of his inner hollow, he was constantly rejecting it. He only tapped into to it to get powers but never accepted infact he impaled the white. Continously rejecting this it came back stronger in ulquiorra fight, it made him fearfull of it,
white is his instincts, violent impulses, his dark side , a part that of himself that he hates but its still him
after his inner world being drown by the despair and hate for white (his inner self) zangetsu and white merged becoming one representing his true inner soul, he constantly fought it for months but it was revealed by the end thats not what he needed to do, ichigo realised and let zangetsu pierce him (accepting the blade) meaning accepting both of his sides, poetic of how he imapled white earlier and rejected him but for him to get stronger he needs to accept both his likeable and hateable sides.
So in conclusion, its a natural progression from the start, its accumulation of all of ichigo's struggle in that arc. From the narrative persepctive it was what this whole arc of ichigo been about
This is the reason why Ichigo vs aizen is my favourite. Aizen achieved godhood(enlightment) by hogokyu because he reached a ceiling, he was unable to get stronger from within himself , he also constantly put everyone away from himself
Wheras ichigo grew from his inner strength and people around him wre the drive, ichigo achieved godhood by true means

30 chapters? It was like 5 and it came completely out of nowhere, it's the definition of an ass pull.
30?
-Isshin would know of it, but not have this power himself, because he knows Ryuken and Masaki
-like Letz Stille, it's a single amplification of power followed by losing his powers
-like Letz Stille, Ichigo wears a glove tailored to his weapon on his right hand, which disappears when he enters his final form
-the final getsuga form has no white in it, which symbolizes Ichigo's hollow side, and his reishi is black and blue, not black and red (red also being indicative of his hollow side, his cero etc), and we know now that Old Man Zangetsu is not Ichigo's zanpakuto. White is both Ichigo's zanpakuto *and* his hollow powers. Hence why Ichigo's asauchi is a white hollow
-Ichigo directly mimics old man zangetsu, who is a fragment of Yhwach, when he becomes final getsuga Ichigo
The only problem with this is that if this is true, Ichigo should have only lost his quincy powers doing this, while still having his *real* shinigami powers.
I thought Isshin implied that Engetsu taught him *of* the techniques but also refused to teach it to him.
@@tinfoilslacks3750 lol, old man zangetsu isn't a fragment of yhwach, also the real ichigo's zanpakuto spirit is old man zangetsu.

@@Rukia_feet be careful there are a lot of bleach delusional fans.

Well those examples of families passing down techniques is bad since they're from TYBW. If we had that before the fight it wouldve worked
There are examples pre tybw i just gave those because they are the most recent and also to enforce the fact that kubo stayed consistent with techniques like that
@__Kumo right but if you're arguing that Mugetsu isn't a plot convince and those points are reinforcing that they don't work if they come after the fight

he literally became his attack and later we find out the sword is him as well
Yes it is

The blade is me is complete undestanding, acceptance and harmony of of his inner self.
He basically got one step closer to self actualize by final getsuga tensho. Also merged zangetsu+white is basically hos ichigo
Wow, we think similarly. 👍
some of the themes of Bleach's story is about self reflection, self discovery, & self acceptance.
Aizen didnt use bankai because he did not self reflect nor accepted himself. Ichigo, however was willing to confront his reality & self reflected, self discovered & accepted himself, even the parts of him self that he hated 🥹🙏👍
@@kelvinallen9327 agreed on the aizen part
aizen thought he wanted to become the new soul king but he actually wanted a real connection with someone, meaning he only strayed further from his actual desire and self, eventually having rejected his shinigami part/zanpakuto/himself and getting much weaker because of that (also the hogyoku)
then in tybw after being imprisoned in muken for nearly 2 years he's clearly different and even began valuing death as a fundamental part of existence, which is ironic since he feared it originally which is why he became immortal
It is! But the way Kubo went about it was weird. Isshin just so happens to know an all out technique and also knows how to stop the flow of time in Dangai which conveniently gives Ichigo time to train. All of this is brought up on the spot, no buildup. But tbh who cares, it's not really a big deal.
On top of that, there’s a theory Isshin couldn’t access all of his powers after being disconnected from his zanpakuto for so long, as he didn’t even use Shikai against Aizen
As for the Dangai, it’s time manipulation was a key part in the SS arc. It’s the whole reason why they had enough time to rescue Rukia, they time traveled
And for Ichigo’s Dangai/FGT forms, Dangai isn’t really a form, it’s just Bankai Ichigo with 3 months of non stop training. And I mean literal non stop. Most of the time when you hear someone’s been training for a year, that’s obviously including breaks but Zangetsu quite literally didn’t let Ichigo get a moment to rest for all 3 of those months.
And FGT is just a high level zanpakuto technique. Pretty much every and all Shinigami confront their zanpakuto spirits for new moves and techniques, but due to Ichigo’s special nature he learned a special technique from his zanpakuto, and even then it’s just a variation of Getsuga Tensho when you really break it down
No ,the only thing asspull about it is the technique itself.
The novels confirm that the Mugetsu form is the shiba clan's trump card
Really!?
What did it say exactly?
@@truthspreader1996 They only say that the Shiba clan was one of the 5 main noble clans of the soul society, that due to the crime of Isshin (ichigo's father) they were banished out of the soul society.
They also say that the Shiba clan's specialty is their "trump card", other clans have their specialties such as Clan Kushiki being the richest family in the soul society
(trully, they said that Byakuya's scarf alone is worth more than several secondary clan houses), and Clan Shioin being founders and heirs to the secret service of the 2 squad.
Its not out of nowhere. The point is sacrifice. The one thing Aizen couldnt do
what's the source of the manga animation right at the start of the video

Didn't Ichigo trained for that form???
If Ichigo didn't train for this form Naruto didn't train for sage mode
@@Kinomiyasan ichigo didn't train it, he get it.

It is, yes.
@@marctm7614 How can it be an asspull if we knew of devil fruit awakening since dressrosa. Everyone expected a gear 5 way before we got it
true and great analysis
Ichigo's final getsuga was powerful because Ichigo himself was powerful.
Ichigo's dad hid the truth about him being a soul reaper for so long, he had to rush things due to the Aizen situation.
There is also the fact that Ichigo is not in Bankai, but just like Aizen has evolved to a stage above it
The FGT does kind of feel like an ass pull, but it is framed as something that is unique to Ichigo and Isshin, so there is only really that one scenario in the dangai where he teaches him the FGT, because it is literally the only time where Isshin has time to tell Ichigo about it.
Kubo is genius 👍

1- so he cant evolve even more tf? aizen didnt even use his shikai in addition to being immortal he would have cooked ichigo if not for uraharas seal
2- he wasnt happy he could destroy a mountain even kid aizen can achieve far greater feats, the shockwave was the one destroying the mountain not aizen
3- the final getsuga isnt letzt stil but it is similar "an attack that concentrates all of your spiritual power into one slash with the draw back of losing your power after"

The disconnect is definitely due to kubo "show dont tell.....ever"😂 because the getsuga tensho is a technique not an ability to ichigo.
The FGT is the technique..for how to achieve "Mugetsu " which is a zangetsu ability. Isshin FGT isnt Ichigo FGT ichigo. ichigo using his reiatsu quinicy/hollow ability and then used the techniquenof getsuga to form a "mugetsu"
