Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

I have been mining for about 6 months now and just about every mine, it backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?
Indeed, the recent market downturn serves as evidence that a vast majority of individuals lacked a sufficient understanding of the underlying financial dynamics at play.
Don't listen to her, don't give up. Mining takes time(months, even years) to master, even the pros learn everday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them. My advice, find a mentor . And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators, Bollinger and pivot points into your strategy. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later.
You're correct, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?
I've been in touch with a financial advisor ever since I got into the market. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending stocks, which is pretty simple. What I took away from this is that the proce of Bitcoin will not rise the way most expect until all smaller miners are wiped out, leaving only very large miners.

Bitcoin mining will fully centralise at the point the block subsidy hits zero. The remaining miner takes all fees and effectively becomes the global reserve bank. Monero will then become the new "bitcoin". Private, Decentralised, Anonymous, Fungible and ASIC resistant to prevent this from happening again.

Still confused how the halving of a subsidy affects mining out put, the subsidy goes down but there's still fees
It’s a good point but the subsidy is consistently much greater than the fees. There have been a handful of blocks where the fees exceed the subsidy but the bulk of the reward is still in the subsidy
@colinfowler7011 yes I would think something subsidizing it would make up a good portion it is a subsidy subsidizing the fees ie making up for what the fees aren't doing yet
@@zintothemoon1135 the subsidy is not intended to make up for lack of fees. The purpose of the subsidy is to have a fair way to emit new bitcoin into the network
Don't know what's confusing? 21 million BTC is the limit. 19 million exist. "Miners" are coding the blockchain and getting rewarded for doing so. BTC gets jumped to validators to make sure it's on record that BTC was moved. For doing all that proof of work, they are awarded BTC. This BTC is new fresh BTC , the 2 million of the 21 million not mined yet. 950 BTC are mined a day. For more to be mined we need many many more BTC miners to join the network. If BTC miners left the network then the number would drop from 950 a day. After the halving, the rewards given get halfed. The 950 a day we produce will become 450 a day . Halving reduced rewards in half given to miners for their equal amount of work. I hope this helped
You have to win the block to get the fees.
Eventually these businesses will merge with Power companies like Duke or Conn Ed. The margins for mining have always been tight, but will continue to get tighter as time goes on.

I watched a podcast today and he dove into acquisitions in detail. You are correct, the miners are not worth anything otherwise they wouldn’t be an acquisition target in the first place.
He is simply after the mining site that already has the capacity to host mining equipment at scale. The infrastructure is already in place, and that is where the value is.

Apart from selling heat, do miners have any incentive if mining bitcoin blocks no longer is lucrative? Because if nobody mines, there are no validators and thus the entire network will fail lol
The code has a built-in difficulty adjustment. If mining is not profitable people Will turn off their miners and the bitcoin network will adjust to make it profitable to mine with less compute
there will *always* be people ready to take up mining should the difficulty adjust down again, you can be SURE of that lmao
