This is awesome. I bought a 2x72 belt grinder almost 2 years ago and I still haven’t assembled it because I’ve been trying to come up with a way to make it able to switch from vertical to horizontal and also make an adjustable table for it. I also haven’t had much time to think about, so there is that. Your design and construction really has inspired me to try to get back to my project.

Алмас , Спасибо за ваш отзыв. Начал то я с рестоврации старых не нужных вещей, и для след проекта нужен был гриндер, Думал ну ладно куплю я его. Посмотрев журнал у меня челюсть отвисла. Даже самый дешевый гриндер что отвечал моим запросам стоил как минимум 3500€, вот тогда и возникла идея замутить его самому, а процесс отснял на камеру. Так как делал чисто для себя то и на эстетику не так много времени уделил. Но начиная со след видео буду уделять эстетике не меньше внимания. А тем временем в Гараже идет постройка писко струя:-)

I would love to have that grinder. I've looked at a lot of other DIY grinder videos and there are some pretty awesome grinders with plans and some with plans and some pre-made parts, but this is by far the most simple and easy to make and would serve me well for what I need it for.
Perhaps I’m part of the few that feel this way, but the best and most interesting videos like these are when NOT ONE WORD IS SPOKEN and you let your eyes do the work. Excellent video and superb design! I’m subscribing and can’t wait to see what else you have coming up. Bravo!

That's the best self made grinder I've seen. The design and function are fantastic, the color choices are great. Really like that blue(ish) color. That machine is a beast. Nice work.

Fantastic. As someone posted, if you made drawings and dimensions along with what wheels you used, you could sell it as a kit for self assembly or to be made in the home workshop. Must say it’s the best and most versatile belt sander I honestly have ever seen. Well done!!!!

Плюс расходные материалы на десяток тысяч рублей, это если учесть, что электро двигатель покупать не надо и он валяется в сарае/гараже/мастерской. Отличное пособие, спасибо.

А также понимаю то, что если у человека у которого хватило денег на оборудование мастерской, хватит денег и на гриндер и он не будет тратить своё время на его изготовление. Разумеется если мастерская ему нужна для работы, а не для запиливания видосиков для ютуба.
Amazing, well thought out. I am sure there is many guys specially in blacksmith or knife industry would like to have one. Consider make many of this versatile belt grinder and sell your products that would be a great idea.
Finding a "well stocked" recycling yard is indeed the trick. Just those two proper rubber grinder wheels are several hundred dollars - each - bought new. Since they aren't crowned, I wonder why lawnmower wheels couldn't work, though speed could be an issue. Anyway, your and others' videos are giving me ideas to build my own, thanks!
Thanks for creating this, I have never seen such a versatile and innovative belt sander. Love the non verbal, sped up yet showing each operation is a very effective technique. I think i will make both better videos and tools from your inspiration and inventiveness.
While your welding skills can do with some practice, you certainly have fantastic ideas and nice building skills. I like the spark catcher plate, I've not seen that on other builds. Very nice job.
It is so damned unfair of you to put such beautifully produced and mesmerising content up when folk like me should be going to sleep. This is quite a work of art in itself with marvellous functionality. You are quite a master and I envy you your skills (and tools). Homemade Multifunctional Belt Sander Grinder. My friends , i made some modification on my Belt Grinder and i wanted to share it with you. So i've added frequention invertor to control RPM. So i've decided to re-upload the video and delete the old one.
Very nice job! I'm making one myself, though a different design. You have a lot of talent! The wheels look like they are from a fork lift. A good way to go. I'm doing mine the hard way, starting off with nee billet round stock. Anyway, very nice!
Awsome, well thought out, and well built, I would add one thing though, a removable water basin under the work area for catching the sparks and debris.

Если делать сплошные швы геометрию гарантированно поведет. А тут она все таки важна.
