Nice to to see VNY! I learned to fly there in 1970! Been that long since I've been back! LAX a few times (I something a bit bigger). Thanks for the memory!
Awesome filming! I added this to my favorites list! I lol'd at the "holy "sh**t!" comment on takeoff! That thing looked FAST, and that climb out looked epic! Like faster then a 757! The smallest aircraft I've ever flown on is the 737-200. A few years ago, my Dad flew on an ERJ-145, and he said everyone in the cabin was going "WHOAA!" because they were climbing so fast!
Wow! You lucky people! What a treat. Compared to a commercial jet, how was a ride? Could you feel a lot more, and did your ears pop more? I've always wanted to fly in a private jet, but I really felt a lot more in a single-engine airplane. That landing was perfect! I was waiting for the applause. I'm totally blind and have been all my life, but there's something about flying that just seems to free me. So many controls talk to you, too. I don't know if you've ever heard Paul Harvey "The Rest of the Story", but back in 1979, he featured a special program about Nancy Coates who was a blind pilot for Ozark Airlines. Her husband, who could see, was her co-pilot. In all her flying years, she only had two minor situations, each when her plane skidded on ice on the taxiway. Other than that, her flights were flawless. She flew a TwinEngine plane, and most people never knew she was blind which is how she liked it. It's on my bucket list.
Looks & Sounds Like A Extremely Well Built Small Jet. It Looked like It Handled Very Well At High Altitudes & Great Performance At The Take Off & Landing. What Did You Think.?
yes it won some prizes too because as I know it uses so less fuel and it's design technically and decoratively is one of the best also it has the biggest garage capacity within its class.
Not sure what you are saying. American never had A310's...they did have the A300's however but that was years ago. You probably are a bit mixed up with what you saw lol
I was about to say I'm pretty sure American got rid of their A300 fleet after that incident out of KJFK. It was a last [rather large and ominous] straw on the camel's back type of thing.
Nice vid! however,@11:34 you can hear the worse sound you´d want hear in the cockpit... stall warning! immediately alter you can hear the the thrust being powered up... no worries it was controlled, but unnecessary.
The phenom 100 has an aural warning for stall followed by a flight yoke push function which drives the nose down, there is no stick shaker as you think .... Source, I'm a flight simulator engineer for this aircraft
Notice how long he waited to touch down. I think he wanted to give them the feeling of speed near the ground, because he ate up half that runway in the air.
gahloot There is a 1400 ft displaced threshold. The airplane touched down about 700 ft beyond the landing threshold, so not a spot landing by any stretch, but certainly not outside the touchdown zone on the runway.
JetSuite has daily deals where you can get a flight for a little over $500 for 4 peoples on jets that are going to be flying no matter what, even if there are passengers or not. So they fly people for a lot cheaper.
Walked by this plane while going to my flight lesson that day! Beautiful aircraft!
...very cool...looks like fun...thanks for posting...
Phenom 100 is wonderful
...The engines sound so...EPIC!
Nice to to see VNY! I learned to fly there in 1970! Been that long since I've been back! LAX a few times (I something a bit bigger). Thanks for the memory!
this will be o my bucket list to fly private.

Thanks so much man, you are lucky that you got to fly on a 732 I would have loved to! Yeah these little guys are powerful!
Viva Brazil!!!!!!
Great Video Jay. I'm so glad you got to fly on this jet, LAX to VNY that worked out prefect.
Thanks Ed, im glad you enjoyed it!
You know this is old when you see an American Airlines 767-200
That must have been an awesome experience, thanks for sharing this! Some day I'd love to have a flight on a private bizjet.
It was amazing, something I'll remember for a while...glad you liked it!

Wow amazing and handsome short jet

Nice footage! I'm green on envy now. Wanna fly this baby
Thanks for sharing this wonderful flight video and your experience.
Fun ride!
Lovely video Mets, must have been a fantastic experience!
Thank you buddy, it really was a great experience!
This absolutely amazing variety of bizjets is only possible in the U.S- big like!
Looks & Sounds Like A Extremely Well Built Small Jet. It Looked like It Handled Very Well At High Altitudes & Great Performance At The Take Off & Landing. What Did You Think.?

Please more videos if it´s possible. Thanks. Have allways a good time and a nice flight, of course. ;-)
This is my next plane after I get my first one.
One of the most beautiful airplanes for all times - MD-80! ;)
What a buzz just watching let alone in the plane itself!!..Thanks...Laurie
Great videography really cool flight. This jet is wicked bad ass !! Would love to own o e of these bad boyz
I just flew into LAX yesterday (3-3-2017) landed around 11am and I swear I saw this aircraft in the taxi way.
Awesome footage Jay, loved every minute of it!
Thanks so much buddy!
There were some awesome planes parked at Atlantic. Nice coverage of the flight!
Thank you!
Sure beats fighting traffic on the 405!
Hahaha
It also beats being inspected, patted down, probed, etc by airport security.
"Got any water in your bag you forget to take out sir?" "Oh yeah I forgo-" *HAND SWAB*
lol
@@nemo227 u still have to be inspected
Que aeroporto grande. Onde fica?
GTA5 moment at 08:40!! The canals hee hee. And the Pier!! The beach! Mask shop aha!
Those Falcons, Hawkers and G-Vs on the tarmac are massive compared to the Phenom. What a cool hot rod..
holy crap, there was absolutely no separation between the Phenom and the 737 on take off... insane
Great vídeo!! Congratulations
SHOW, SHOW, SHOW.....BEAUTIFUL....
Awesome they have flights from burbank to Vegas
Was this plane assembled in US already or still Brazilian made?
Because i've heard Embraer is moving all the Phenom 100 and 300 assembly to US.
A cheap way of getting to VNY from LAX is to take the LAX flyaway to Van Nuys where it drops you off right by the airport.
Love that plane 🙈👌🏽
I am 100 percent sure that the MD-80 on the ground there in the first minute is the Detroit Red Wings plane! They played the LA kings on the 11th!
I believe you're right
embraer major manufacturer of aircraft . pride to the Brazilian people
What kind of camera did you use?
Awesome video!
cool the sight from the window.
I mean worked out perfect :)
JATOS PODEROSOS
GERAÇÃO DE AERONAVES RÁPIDAS
🍸🌍💥...BRASISIL
Wouldnt it be faster to just drive there?
was a nice vid. BUT i wonder why no hold for after the 737 left, wing vortices and such..
As long as he rotated before the place the 737 did and climbed above his path he would be fine.
Great video
sounds noisy ,is it?Looks like a fantastic aircraft but just 4 passengers?
No not loud at all, very quiet actually. Yep only 4 pax!
Mets747 and that whistle noise? only that loud on cam?
If you are going to talk about the Phenom 100 why look around at all the other planes? Why not concentrate on the 100?
I used to have flying lessons a small airplane. This 10:03 is as tough as a camera I just bought
Very cool. 🙂
Awesome!
I enjoyed it. 👍🏽
Essa é Arrancada do Phenon 100 Flight LAX-VNY
Tenha um bom dia comando, em breve estou pilotanto...
Isn´t that beeping noise @ full power utterly annoying? Or is it louder in the vid than in reality?
That American a310!
Not sure what you are saying. American never had A310's...they did have the A300's however but that was years ago. You probably are a bit mixed up with what you saw lol
Sorry if this is 7 months late, but it was around 7:14
Mets747 lol I was such an idiot then. That is a 767-200. My bad 😂
I was about to say I'm pretty sure American got rid of their A300 fleet after that incident out of KJFK. It was a last [rather large and ominous] straw on the camel's back type of thing.
excellent !!!
Thanks!
I have the P3D version! it's beautiful!
A beetle in a group of mammoths...
Awesome, that must have cost a lot
WOW!LAX 2 NY LONG FLIGHT LOL!
Forget the car pool lane. I want the jet lane.
No winglets? I'd still take one.
Video without informative audio is sorely lacking.
A WING ..WE GET TO SEE A WING FOR OVER 16 MINUTES,,,BIG DEAL.
Bellevideohenri😊😊
Nice vid! however,@11:34 you can hear the worse sound you´d want hear in the cockpit... stall warning! immediately alter you can hear the the thrust being powered up... no worries it was controlled, but unnecessary.
Dude thanks for pointing that out, I literally had no idea about that haha...good ears! Thanks for watching!
Actually it was my kids camera rapid pictures to 20 shots.
that's someone taking photos on their phone

Cool
...I've done this on a Learjet 35, a Citation 10 and Falcon 50. it's like being inside a bullet.
I work for jet edge at Van Nuys
Pretty sure as awesome as this was it was a total waste of money. It probably took just as long.
0:58 is that the bandit....similar to abramovichs
So much for a 30 foot threshold crossing height...
Man he was heavy on the brakes
Notice how long he waited to touch down. I think he wanted to give them the feeling of speed near the ground, because he ate up half that runway in the air.
gahloot There is a 1400 ft displaced threshold. The airplane touched down about 700 ft beyond the landing threshold, so not a spot landing by any stretch, but certainly not outside the touchdown zone on the runway.
He touched down right on the thousand foot marker which is completely fine. Thats where we are trained to aim and land
Maybe he was wearing heavy shoe's? Who knows?
BigOldF150 no thrust reversers
17min flight for 2600$....

Him and his son could have flown to Hawaii, and stayed 5 days and 6 nights near the beach!
Moodsaver very very overpriced
