Jennifer and Warren, Joseph has been able to accomplish so much and I still tear up watching him discover excitement in every new day. It was just fantastic to watch you take him out to the deer stand. We all knew he could do it , and hearing him talk about the sunrise was just the icing on the cake! ❤🎉❤
Hi Jennifer and sweet family! So exciting, deer season is already underway. Hopefully you will get a deer. Your granddaughter was so sweet asking you how the can opener works. Good luck everyone and have a very blessed night!
Unfortunately this year I haven’t been able to hunt. My stand was demolished by Hurricane Helene but I am thankful. My husband was able to harvest a deer for the land owner where we hunt. We hope to get a blind up so I can hunt before the end of the season. Thank you for sharing your family’s traditions with us.
I didn't want today's video to end!! Enjoying seeing the closeup looks at your weekend hunt!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!! This is a family very serious about deer season!! ❤😊
Great video! I’m so happy everyone stayed safe and enjoyed themselves. I haven’t been deer hunting since my dad died in 2003. We used to hunt on his farm. I miss the venison but miss my dad so much more. I hope you all have a wonderful week ❤
I have watched for a long time. I’m always impressed by how hard you work Jennifer. I always think how your hard work benefits the family and what a great partner you are. But then I watch the hunting vlogs and am even more blown away by you. The zeal with which you participate - you are all in - I mean that really is kind of rare for the wife. I know he knows it but wow. What a catch Warren got partnering with you. ❤❤❤
I love that you share this. Everyone seems so excited! What a nice family event. We live in South Florida and seeing the hunting for you in Wisconsin is so different than anything in our surroundings. I love being able to see this because I would not normally be exposed to it. Thank you! Rosa
Well yes this brings back memories…deer season in Pennsylvania where we used to live was a big deal…school was always closed on opening day of the season. my husband taught all 5 sons to hunt and I even shot a deer once…we no longer live in the country and we sure miss having a freezer full of venison. Thanks for sharing!
After your last video I asked myself how do they get home if they want to leave earlier and you and Maria answered my question. Thanks, always enjoy your videos
Our son in law was the only one that went out this year. Oh how my dad would have loved all the stories from the stands. I grew up in a hunting family with deer being our primary protein. I absolutely loved this video. It truly is like a holiday on opening day! Good luck to your family and I send prayers for safety.
We hunt in Marathon, WI and we saw very few deer this year and none that were large enough to harvest or that we could get a good shot. We usually get a couple of deer each year, between bow and gun season, but we got zero this year. Muzzle loader season is our last hope. Luckily we still have plenty of venison in the freezer. Glad to see you all hunt as a family, nice to see that you are passing on the tradition. ❤
Awe! Your little granddaughter is so cute! I loved hearing her little voice talking to you and asking you questions. 😊 Congrats to everyone who got a deer! How exciting! 😊 I have to tell you, Jennifer..... I have been going back through your older videos and watching some of the ones in which you are making bread using your bread machine. I have been so inspired that I have asked for a bread machine for Christmas. (I found an AMAZING (seriously!) pre-Black Friday deal on one!) My husband told me to grab it, so I did.....but I won't even open the box until Christmas morning. I am so excited to get it and start making my own bread for my family. I am particularly looking forward to making your soft hamburger buns and your crusty mini loaves from your cookbooks! I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope deer season continues to go well for your family! My husband and son both got big bucks on opening day in WV! Husband got a 9 pt. and son got a 12 pt. We spent about 6 hours getting both ready for the freezer....the deer, not the men. LOL Like Maria, my daughter Paisley got a cold. Hope Maria is feeling better now! Belated Happy Thanksgiving!
My daughter just got her first buck of the season a few days ago. Large body they said. Whatever that means. Lol she shares her photos thru snap chat app. She got it on their property in adams friendship.not far from 21 & 13. Im originally from Chicago and have lived in Wisconsin Dells to. Im back and forth nowadays. She loves hunting bow and gun and is a good shot For just being at it for a few years. This is nice to see your videos. Hope more come your families way soon.
Our nephew got a 6 pointer and the next day got a doe. The family can use the meat. They live in northern Wisconsin. The first time we knew of him hunting more than 1 or 2 days plus more than just a couple of hours. I guess getting a little older made him realize that they could use the meat.
When did Maria become a young woman? My goodness it seems like yesterday she was barely past toddler stage! Since I watched to the end 😜, I will share one of my hunting stories with you. My very first hunting trip, when I was 12 years old and in the stand all alone, I shot two deer with one shot. The two of them were standing next to each other, a spike was closest to me and a larger buck on the far side from me. I hit the spike perfectly in the armpit (which is where we always aim for) and he dropped about 10 yards away. When we went to collect him, there was a second blood trail, and sure enough the bullet had gone through the spike and in to the buck. He was gut shot and we had to track him for quite a ways. My grandfather who was never proud of anyone for anything, was proud as punch. He told that story for years.
Love seeing the hunting vids! We are a huge hunting family here in Texas. My oldest daughter (16) and I were both able to get huge 8 pointers last weekend and we were thrilled! 😊❤ So I have a question- do y’all not have deer feeders?? That’s the only way we hunt in Texas is having feeders within shooting distance of the blinds. We actually feed year round on our place to keep the deer there and keep them growing 🦌
My husband has a sharp eye for spotting deer, too. We'll be driving down the road and he'll ask if I saw that deer. And it's a No everytime. I'm a night owl, so I can't imagine getting up that early, but I admire the commitment and the love for the sport!
My husband just got a deer on Saturday, South Dakota west river season. Is there a season for wolves in Wisconsin? My husband got a big wolf in Canada in March on the first day of his hunt.
Exciting! I knew we'd see tatertot casserole 🙂The conversation with Aisley was precious. She's like you; she heard the word mushroom & thot no way, "I'm havin' mizagna!"🙂 We can relate to the fear of the wolves. Right here in the city, we're having an awful time with coyotes! We're having to protect ourselves and little Honey in the evenings. They're jumping 5ft fences to get to pets. I'm sure they're not as dangerous as wolves but still scary. Be careful, our sweet friends ❤
Oh, my husband has been hunting since I ever met him, me the week before, cooking for the masses. Came home the night before my first child was born! He would be gone for weeks, leaving me with 3 kiddos. He used all of his vacations every year to go hunting with his friends. So, I would go on nice vacations all over the world with 3 kids! Then, he left his vehicle at home, my newly licensed child drove it! On the way home from the airport, we had to pick up my new car! Gave my other car to my son! 😊 We’re married 36 years already!
My mother shot a deer a few years ago but it would not die. My uncle and her chased it for hours. Broke a gun in the process but got a 6 pointer. Good luck this year. Have y'all ever hunted with dogs. I was raised when it was legal to hunt with dogs. Loved listen to them in the chase. Those days gone. You get people don't even know what that type of hunting is. ❤ Have a blessed day.
Great family video. Love being in all the excitement. Hope you get the freezers filled. And thank you for sharing.

I know you are very safety conscious, but that is a lot of hunters in one area.
Hey, Gamma! What is this? She is adorable.

Sweet little voice so inquisitive, precious. 🙂
Hi Jennifer, good luck with the deer 🦌 hunt. Hope Peter is successful.

Hope Maria feels better soon! Walking pneumonia is making the rounds in the Midwest, so please take care.
Love these videos!
A family that hunts together stays together ❤❤❤God bless

Thanks, for sharing. We only got 1 young buck(we like to get 7 deer yrly.).
My female cousin shot the record breaking buck with a bow in our county. Can’t remember the size but it was big ❤
Hubby got a button buck the other day. Small but tender.
My mother shot a deer a few years ago but it would not die. My uncle and her chased it for hours. Broke a gun in the process but got a 6 pointer. Good luck this year.
