Honestly, it’s shitty how euros are pushing 4 cylinders in many models.. Both BMW and Mercedes 6 cylinders sound so much better than something like this.
that stupid emissions shit is a scam. with more and more electric cars on the road, and cars having become more eco friendly over the years ( might I add at the expense of reliability, performance and overall rise in prices due to the amount of technology required to do this), even if that were right ( I'm referring to the emission bullshit) there's no way a few sports cars are making any impact in the environment, the whole thing is a scam. Take for instance Ferrari, how many cars do they produce yearly? I'm guessing about 300 to 500 cars at most. how is that significant, how does it make sense to restrict Ferrari foe emissions. this is not Ford, Toyota, or Honda that manufacture millions of cars annually. that could in theory made an impact. Ferrari, BMW M cars
Hmm, in one of your tests the Hyundai Elantra SR with DCT did the 0-100 in 6.87s, with 400cc less and FWD. Weight is almost the same , + 5KW for the Hyundai , but 65NM less. Interesting results. Good videos as always. Cheers.
@@PDriveTV The time would have been a bit better if the engine allowed more than 100+ kmh in 2nd gear, i can see there just when it hit 98 or 99 kmh you needed to change into 3rd gear.
@@maurelie87 Yes, you're probably right - it would be slightly quicker without shifting to 3rd. But keep in mind the speedo isn't completely accurate, so it might actually be 94-95km/h. In that sense, extending the gearing might upset the overall balance and in-gear acceleration, and it probably wouldn't be as linear for each gear. For reference, BMW claims 6.8 seconds for the manual and 6.6 for the auto.
Why can't they just put manual to the 6 cylinder one?? I'll wait a couple of years to get one of these for half the price. I hope there's some still around in 2025 for now I'll settle with my 2006 E85 3.0 manual
due to the stupid world were living in. The new supra is trash anyways. maybe the mk6 will pick-up the name again from that fiasco of the mk5. I plan at some point to get a Z4m and make a manual conversion. using the parts from the i20. the biggest unknown for me are if the transmission will handle the power and the flashing or replacement of the ECU to make that work.
Problem is, the manual isn't available in all markets, I was surprised to know the 20i comes with a manual option No manual for the 40i thought, sadly...
Exciting stuff starts at 2:23
Nonsense
Saludos cordiales desde Chile amigo, éxito. 💪🏻🇨🇱
@@cygnusv8323 Would you rather we say, 'Engine start-up and acceleration demonstrations commence at this time point'?
@Caroline Liu but I don't
@Caroline Liu silly loser
It's so darn refreshing to see a manual in a 2020 car!!
Almost perfect start! Nice review.
Thanks. Keep in mind we do plenty more testing behind-the-scenes with the Vbox. The video is only a demo to show you what it looks like.
Your content is amazing mate I wish more people knew about it.!
Thanks for the feedback :)
It actually sounds way better than I thought it would! :D
Wow I didn't know they came manual!! Well the best z4 has to be the e89 with m sport package and an actual 6 speed manual!
One of the reasons of bmw supra being inferior
Nice looking car, good review
Mini Cooper S engine and transmission. Nothing new, but at least is very exciting to see a last gen bmw with manual option :)

Emissions bud...

Sounds way better than those 2.0 vag engines
I like Manual Car.
I like your channel is very good👍❤️
Wow that 2.0is fast¡!!!!
So this is a reference point for the 2021 Toyota Supra four-cylinder.
Has the looks of the upper range but worse engine.
Is this the same engine as in the new 3 / 4 series? I believe it has less hp there. Wondering if they sound so sporty as well.

Yep, that's the speed of the DCT. It's pretty much impossible to achieve the shift times of a DCT with a manual.

Do yourself a favour and get the F-Type V6 or V6S on the used market for a lot less money but looks, sounds, drives and feels 100x more special.
Why is there no manual option in the UK?

So this is on the same level to a Subaru BRZ and the Alpine A110-S ?
I take a hot hatch! Like a i30n or RS
This has a manual and Supra doesn't
Hmm
Since the Supra share so many parts with BMW Z4... It will have manual
Oh this will carry over to the Supra in the future, don’t worry

Have a Fiesta St Vid coming soon?
Yes, very soon. Editing up POV detailed review now, with 0-100 video to follow.

why is it surpring that a rear wheel drive car has staggered wheels? lol
Closer to 7,6-8s real 100km/h
This is real. Using a GPS Racelogic Vbox Sport - not using a stopwatch looking at the speedo.
Problem is, the manual isn't available in all markets, I was surprised to know the 20i comes with a manual option

Diferencia motor 20 i y 30i para esos 60 cv de diferencia
Sorry but exhaust sounds like a Holden Barina with a res-delete
The rear looks mercedes like
supra sounds better and it’s cheaper👌
@@jamestorrens645 it also has the b48 engine in the 2.0
Still don't understand why would anyone buy this over the 40i... The 4-cylinder engines make the Z4 seem like an unnecessarily expensive MX5, imho.
Are you stupid or what? The obvious reason for that would be the price? Heard about that?
Maybe because it’s cheaper?
Передачи переключать не умеет)))
Toyota Supra is far better than this. In-spite of being the same engine.
197ps? What a slow car
a brz with the same horsepower does it in 7.7 seconds (on this chanel) so it's actually fast for what it is
