The fact that a dog is said to have a "short attention span" because he can't obsess enough about a treat is the perfect example of how we call dogs intelligent depending on how controllable they are. He's sure focused on what he thinks is most beneficial and stimulating to him. That is real intelligence.
It is sad that people have to give up pets because of apartment rules or loss of job to where they can't afford vet bills. But giving up on a puppy because it is too much for the owner to train them. There are no untrainable animals, just untrainable humans.

Roy Patton lmao imma dog trainer and owner and dog behaviorist and veterinarian. 95.9% of mishaved dogs are dogs with no training and many dog owners allow certain behaviors cus they think it’s “normal”. Dogs are bred to work. They love it if it’s a positive thing. If you don’t work the dog mind, the dog will become bored, destructive, etc. You gotta let them let out the wild dog instinct and work them from their natural work that they were bred for. It’s a problem with these dog owners. Y’all don’t don’t care bout nun. Y’all feed them, bathe them, walk them, etc. which is good but they are animals.
