      How can u be proud of this, this is disaster in the making. As you can see, emotions take over in games, (for players and fans), when something like these happen theres always something bad that can happen. Americans are hard-core fans of sports but more civilized. Id rather go to a sporting event and leave in one piece. How many stories have we heard of some1 dying or getting murdered in a sporting event in europe?! No thanks. I think we've learned from the past, no one wants another malice at the palace.

    Sports in Europe is not just a lifestyle entertainment product like in the US. It is about identity. You are born in a certain region and the club of that region belongs to your life. Clubs don't just move from Oakland to Las Vegas and the fans say 'oh man that's a bummer, now I support the Rams!' It is much more than just an entertainment product.

      big facts man. and it's not just one sport. if your country competes in any other sport, especially football and handball, you fucking watch every single match and give your heart and tears and even if they lose you still do the same every year. it's a lifestyle, a passion. literally goes through our veins.

      @@hixta i'd say it's the opposite since an Nba game lasts double of the time compared to european basketball games 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's all about culture. American sport franchises have always been fully private owned and were made for entertainment, on the other hand sports in Europe developed either as a form of association and comradery or as a political tool. A famous example is the Glasgow rivalry between Celtic and Rangers, so called "Old Firm". Celtic was founded by a catholic priest of irish descent and it represents the catholic and anti unionist sentiment, while Rangers represents protestants and the unionist sentiment. But similar examples can be found outside of Europe too, especially southern america. Only in the US and Canada the sport culture is completely different..

    • @AllMenMustServe
      @AllMenMustServe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      @Mike Bizanis Off course 90% of European are more passionate than Americans when it comes to their team. Most of Europeans support their city's team. Americans support their state team. The fact that the NBA has only 30 teams to root for tells you a lot. In my country (only 10M and way smaller than the US) we have like 20 teams on football 1st division and most of them have a lot of other sports, and we support any team of any sport just because they are from our city. And I'm just mentioning 1st division. Then it really depends on the identity of the city itself/country if they are louder, crazier or whatever. I recon that people from the balkans (Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, etc) are a little bit more crazy but comparing the way europeans look their teams vs Americans? Not even close. In America it's like a show, it's like going to the zoo watching lions and zebras perform.
      PS: Americans meaning US/Canada. South Americans are just like Europeans when it comes to sports, they have the passion.

      I know I’m a year late, but the best way to describe it is passion (Europe) vs marketing (USA). Here in the states most fans show up casually for entertainment because of how stupid expensive tickets are - the majority of those in amercian crowds are just random business men and women who have plenty of money to spend. You’ll also never find ultras in the United States (other than a few MLS teams) because those casual fans would tell you to shut up and just watch the game. The only time you’ll find the majority of diehard fans in the stands is during playoffs. Unless you’re team is one of the best or the best in any given year, you’ll always find empty seats because for a lot of us, we are better off going to work rather than spending half if not all of our paychecks on a single game.

    Sports in Europe are for the fans, especially in clubs that don't get much attention. You can't do this shit in Camp Nou where most tickets are overpriced and only rich people go. Basketball is a sport where in Europe the clubs actually lose money. Attendance is poor coz football is king here and Euroleague's top players make less than bench warmers in a 2nd league in football. You have to love the sport to put money and that's why the league reformed so that big clubs could face each other more often and make more money to pay the players. But it keeps the club united. You wont see moments like this in the NBA. Club owners celebrating with the fans and the players in the middle of the court. All jumping and holding each other like they are pals. More supporters than fans. I would take this over any nba organisation. Image that. Everyday people, celebrating with the players, coaches and the owner! Nobody feels threatened or uncomfortable. High fives, hugs and smile. Watch Vezenkov at the end of the match. If he wouldn't wear a Jersey you could mistake him for a fan.

      @tzitzitzitzi1584 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sedattoprak9298 Not bad compared to you and me brother but compared to the top Football players in Europe this money is nothing. I think Mirotic has the heaviest contract with 5 mil. That's nothing compared to football. There are players in the 2nd division in England that earn way more than 5 mil and their club is not competing in any European league. Just domestic income. That's insane. Of course the stadium capacity and TV contracts and prices are the reason but image having the best contract in Europe in your sport and some guy that plays in the 2nd division earns more than you do. Of course other athletes in other sports have it worse but the skills you have to have to play other sports and basketball are night and day.
