What if you're discharged from hospital to a CareHome temporarily without a careplan or assessment 18 months later you're still there?

Is the guaranteed minimum income 24.90 per week with the mobility part of pip included ? I have a 19 year E old daughter who has learning disability and epilepsy, who only recieves personal independence payment , if she has to contribute towards her care from the personal care part of her pip benefit then she only has her mobility part left which will be not enough for getting around , food , clothes and other items she wishes to buy . Anyone who has less than 14k assets or money shouid not be charged for care !
Also my daughter does not want other carers to come in and help her as I’m her mother and her registered Carer who does everything for her and she lives with us mum dad and brother

Can the local authorities and take into consideration pensions which haven't been taken? Eg private pensions not in payment

My partner and I are now living together in my home. , We recently opened a joint bank account together. The only income in this bank account is his pension. This is his only income.. When completing a financial Assessment for social care. will this income be calculated on a 50/50 basis

All sounds pretty straightforward then Justin.
On a serious note, well done on describing so many of the nuances of this nightmare process.
I seem to remember that there is also a requirement to inform DWP when someone enters a residential care home - I think so that DWP stop paying benefit during the 12 week deferment period. Have I remembered this part of the nightmare correctly?
Does DWP resume paying attendance allowance at the end of the 12 week deferment period?

@@TheRetirementCafe is there any calculator to calculate contributions. Social services have started provisional care without carrying out a financial assessment, and now they are carrying a financial statement. How will it work.
