"How I painted "Setting sun at Fistral" Oil on canvas

  • "Setting sun at Fistral" created using the oil painting technique of "alla prima" or wet in wet, the whole painting in this case completed in a session.
    My ideas was to try this style that I normally use for my landscape painting of this style of working with seascape art.
    I am pleased with the result, and was enjoyable to work in this way. Its is a diptych, and will sit in a frame with a small gap to separate the 2 canvases.
    Created in a how to paint or demo style, I hope that you will find this entertaining and educational

    Very impressive. Amazing how halfway through your videos I always think "that doesn't look right... it's not going to turn out right" but then you just keep going until I go "what the heck, when did it get so realistic?!"😂Watching you teaches me to trust in the process. Great work, keep it up.
