Thank you for this lesson, dear Markét:-) I'll try it as well: We should arrive a week ago, but he didn' t arrive until yesterday and I won' t arrive until tomorrow. She hasn' t lived at her parents' until now. She decided to move away only on her birthday a few weeks ago. Have a nice day, Markét! Jana
Great to hear from you again, dear Jana. Thanks for learning English with me! 😘Also, thank you for doing your "homework", well done! 🙃 There are two things I'd like to comment on: We should arrive a week ago... - Teď chvíli česky, ať to dává smysl: Pokud říkáme, že jsme měli přijet před týdnem, tedy očekávalo se, že přijedeme před týdnem, nepoužijeme tady should, ale to be supposed to: We were supposed to arrive a week ago. Check out this video to learn more about the difference between "to be supposed to" and "should" in the past tenses: th-cam.com/video/enpq3em2ZRc/w-d-xo.html. 😉 Also, pay attention to the apostrophes. There shouldn't be a space after them: didn't / won't / hasn't. And that's it from me. Keep up the great work and take care! ☺ Markét
@@EnglishHackerCz Hello, dear Markét, thank you so much for your advice:-) a little bit embarrassing for me, because I have already learned the difference between should and supposed to with your video, I just didn't think about it😜 I don't often apply the good rules in my English.. But I work on it😁 Thank you😘
@@janajaskova2593 No worries, dear Jana! The difference between "should" and "to be supposed to" used for past events is a bit confusing so I don't blame you. It gets mixed up pretty often. 😅 Also, mistakes we make are the best teachers, don't you think? 😇
Dear Miss Markét,thank a lot for this lesson.Prepositions could be a little bit difficult and confuse (particularly, especially for me)! Have a nice day, week and Happy Easter, please.
English prepositions are super confusing, no doubt about that. I was happy to help you with that a little bit. Thanks so much for watching, my dear student! ❤ Happy Easter to you too, Markét 😘
I'm pleased to hear you found the video useful, Sam. Thanks for watching! 🤩 Just a quick correction: usefully = užitečně (příslovce) X useful = užitečné (přídavné jméno). 🙃 Happy learning, Markét 😉
Ahoj Markéta, výborná lekcia. Zase nás to posunie kúsok dopredu. Chcel by som sa spýtať, či aj v tomto prípade je možné until skrátiť na till. Nikde v príklade si to nespomenula. Díky moc, Laci.
Hi there, Laci, thank you so much for stopping by to learn something new. I'm happy you found it helpful. ☺ Nemyslím si, že se "not till" používá. Nikdy jsem se s tím nesetkala a ani Google mi skoro nic nenašel, takže doporučuju držet se osvědčeného "not until". 😁 Happy learning and Happy Easter! Markét
Mala som prísť v sobotu a prišla som až v nedeľu a kamoška ta prišla už v piatok a brat príde až za mesiac to už je moc na mňa ale až sa do toho dostanem budem šťastná.
I was supposed to come on Saturday and I didn't come until Sunday, and my friend came already on Friday, and my brother won't come until a month later............. Thanks a lot, Google Translator ! 🙂
Milá Markét, děkuji. Moc se mi líbí váš způsob vysvětlení.
Thank you for learning English with me, dear Evelyna. Have fun! 🤩
