I don't think it is important to translate every single word as I believe it gets in the way of the lesson when you do so. When I am reviewing a video for Spanish learning, I am looking for blocks of expressions. As you had mentioned it is important not to think in English and think in Spanish. When you translate every single word and break down the grammar, I think it becomes a hinderance. I think the sole purpose of dissecting a video is to discover how Spanish speakers express a concept and then memorize how the words are strung together. As many linguists have pointed out typically memorizing vocabulary and grammar proves futile. Its better to point out the chunks of words that are commonly seen in conjunction in the Spanish language. Overall the video was helpful. thank you!
