    My parents used to take us to Tijuana during the summer to go visit family. During the 90s up to the early 2000s, I never felt as if it was dangerous. Then the drug war started in 2006. Haven’t been back since.

      Things got crazy after 2008, after cartel rogues started trying to squeeze money out anything that moved. No coincidence that US recession was during that time period.

      Why ?

    • @IG-sd2sm
      @IG-sd2sm 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why? Because he uses his rhetoric to convince you he’s on the good side during a battle of good vs evil? - the man literally worked for the same government that murders and supports the death of indigenous people in Mexico. Now he’s just a full time bootlicker “training” Americans how to do the same.

      @@israelamaro9591 You obviously know nothing about Mexico if you believe there is such thing as a "good" Mexican cop. It is laughable to the Mexican people. Only Americans have a romantic view of cops everybody knows cops are always in the cartel's pockets and if there is a good cop they're dead in ditch somewhere.

    I was down there in Rosarito right after Hurricane Katrina. That was 2005. It was still cool to go through Tijuana as just a regular dude w his gf back then. Getting back in to the US was kind of a Hassel but getting into Mexico and having a kick ass time was still cool. I stayed for like 2.weeks one time without my gf. I fkng loved it there I could get anything I want. A la esquina, es UN nombre. Es UN restaurante en Rosarito, y era un muchacho que trabajada alli, y si una persona puede hablar Español Bien, bastante Bien, esa persona puede obtener qualquiere. ESTA hombre de llama Jesus, y era El camarero/jefe tal vez... But yeah, it was still cool in 2005, Rosarito is about 30 kilometros del sur de Tijuana and it used to be called Playas de Tijuana. I hope folks in sandiego can still go down there and oarty

    • @IronBallsMcNeese
      @IronBallsMcNeese 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm assuming by the couple or 3 likes, you can still go down there, but the advice from Ed about not bringing a 4x4 truck is key advice. I do not live in California anymore, or anywhere near the border, so it's not really an option anyway. I feel like maybe I went at the very end of a golden era, before it got so dangerous... I wonder what they would do with the truck I'm driving now. It's a 4 door Ram but it's not 4 wheel drive. I'm thinking they would take it anyway.

    I was born and raised in East LA. Fell in love with Tijuana almost twenty years ago and been living here ever since. With the right gov't Tijuana could become the new Hong Kong. Speaking of which, is this the same Ed who on the Joe Rogan podcast advocated putting US troops into Mexico, presumably which would result in Americans killing Mexicans and vice versa. Javier, next time ask him a hard question. Viva LA Taco!

I speak, read and write both English and Spanish, I don't see any conspiracy, it's mostly a border thing. The reason is some people learn and practice better than others.
