I love these videos, I used your techniques on how to make your dog ring a bell to go outside. It worked perfectly for my doodle, Emma Frost. The funny part is, my cat a 14-year-old Scottish Fold, Princess, taught herself to ring the same bell when she wants some form of attention. Thank you so much, your techniques really work.

Lisa Gallegos it’s going pretty good. we haven’t done too much because she is 5 so she’s pretty well mannered, but we’ve had to potty train her and to not beg at the table. we also taught her a few tricks for fun

My dad was a pilot, and now I can't believe he never named a dog Cessna!!! What a cute name, and cute dog.
My dog is also a pomeranian and he did the same exact thing. When I tried to lure him into a sit, he stood in his two little feet like that too. But it took patience like Zak said, and now he knows how to sit even without a treat. Now I am teaching him to sit, stay, and look at me WITH distractions all in one setting, thanks Zak!
Your TH-cam channel is honestly the best thing I've ever came across. I'm getting a Jack Russell puppy in may and while doing research I came across this channel and it's really good! I feel pretty confident that no matter what sort of situation I'll be faced with when he gets here, I'll be able to come onto your TH-cam channel for a resolution. Hey, my family and I are at a real struggle with our 22 week old goldendoodle, Leia. She constantly rings the potty bell to go outside, and has even gotten to the point where she fakes pees outside. It seems like every 5 minutes, we hear the bell. When we ignore it, I can only imagine how confusing it may be to her, but it’s just too much. We used to treat her everytime we went outside with her ringing it, but it’s just too much. I definitely wouldn’t say that she’s not getting enough exercise, as she is constantly getting play time all day. She does it for the pure joy of going outside/getting attention. We are truly at a loss, as it seems there are no articles online explaining how to fix this. We absolutely know she can hold it, as she goes almost all day with no accidents in her crate while we are at work and school. Even though this may be a challenge for you to figure out, we would love to see a video to figure out how to get her to stop abusing the bell!

I train my puppy to sit and stay at meal time... When he is sitting and waiting I say OK and he can eat..... I found training them tricks ect before giving their food works nicely 😊

Training poms can be difficult until you get good communication with them, which is true for most dogs. My currents service dog is a pom. Once you develope good communication with a pom they are extremely smart!

My dog is the most stubborn thing ever. I've been trying to teach my dog to stop pulling and jumping on people for a couple months. She won't do anything unless she knows you have a treat.

Great videos on training dogs! I have a question though; I am taking my brothers 2 dogs and they have zero structure. They free feed, sleep on the bed and only one dog knows sit. They are small dogs and are fairly well good dogs, some fear in the smaller dog but they both aren’t terrible given that they have free range. I definitely want structure for them for our home. How do you suggest I do this? Get them used to a kennel then train one at a time? Tie one to a leash to the table while I train the other? I just know I can’t do them at the same time. Any help or a video would be greatly appreciated!

What are your opinion on martingale collars? I’ve heard a couple people liken them to choke chains but many people say this isn’t true as the collar is adjusted to be the size of the dogs neck when they pull so they can’t be choked and this makes sense to me. I’ve been looking into this for my puppy as I’m worried she’ll slip out of a flat collar because her head isn’t much wider than her neck (she’s currently in a harness for training but she doesn’t pull often any more and goes off lead so we don’t want her in one forever) and I know they are used often in sight hounds. I was just looking for opinions on them as whilst I don’t think they are going to cause her harm are want to be sure.

Hi Zak, quick question! In a situation like this, where you let a puppy "nibble" on you and the treat, what is the boundary you consider between "nibbling" and biting? In order to discourage biting, would you remove the reward when you consider the puppy to be "biting" in the middle of a training session like this?
