Hahah my mom will be very happy to hear =) yes, you guys have the best durian! Perhaps there’s frozen durian at the Chinese supermarket? We had that in Vancouver =)
The asian grocer does sell them but they are from Thailand and I can’t bring myself to buy the frozen musang king just in case it doesnt taste good. I’m very picky! 😂

Tekka's my favorite, It's harder to open and every tekka durian surprises me cause they taste different.
As usual people will say, you have got to go to Malaysia during durian season and eat freshly harvested durians. I got to agree with that
Yes, I really liked the Tekka too =) and honestly there was so much difference in between each of the durians. You have to find a good durian. I like the really mushy ones LOL Thanks so much for sharing =)
@@hongkongfoodtours I like the meaty and creamy ones. Though two to three pieces will fill me up. :P I ate too much durian this season. Quota for the year has reached its limit.

The most expensive durian now is called Black Thorn (hark chee), it's more expensive than MSW and it's highly sought after now
i hate durian. i once had fried durian. throw up and diarrhea all day. never again 🤢🤮

Please do not eat too much Durian ! In Singapore it is illegal to carry Durian to some place ! Like. Chewing Gum ! Have a Durian Boot Leg Night Time Party Girl and Invite Me! Durian is like 24 K Gold ! Fair Dinkum ! In Canada is there Durian available ! I heard they make Durian Wine I believe it is very Intoxicating like you Baby Girl !

I think some variant is not from malaysia. Actually everyone has their own taste. important is fresh. When I buy durian, I will choose one which the shell is not breaking up and star line more than 5.
Durian is better eat them about 8/9 hours after they drop'harvest from trees.. If consumed it more than 1/2 days after drop.. the quality become lesser

Ah durian, my mortal enemy. Even when frozen, it still manages to have a slight piercing smell.

Woah Durian! How many years did it take for you get used to its smell ?
Not sure, a couple of years of my mom eating it I guess... Also, I like the smell of durian as is, but I hate it when it seeps into other things in my fridge. It’s so pungent that it’ll deep into your eggs etc LOL so you have to wrap it over and over with Saran Wrap or else your fridge will stink!

You need to try Durian at least 3 times to get used to it, even if you hate it in the beginning first few tries...
For musang King Mao Shan Wang, the ideal size is 1.3-1.5kg size. Anything bigger is rumoured to be grown with excessive chemical fertilizers...
An "organically" fertilized MSW usually cannot grow to 2kg size etc. Don't go for extremely larged size MSW cos the flavour will not be so intended etc
It's abit like fish, too big and the meat is usually too tough and not "Sweet" enough but too small and it's not ripe or mature enough :)
Don't go for MSW 1.8kg and above... 😂
