Oh don't worry I don't feel pressured! I've been following your journey since you began on here and I'm in a very similar situation- TTC for 2 years, PCOS etc. I know how you feel and how hard it is. It would be my pleasure to donate something. I also know the financial pressure of buying a 'family home' and what it feels like when you're struggling for money afterwards and still can't get pregnant. My house is gorgeous and my 'home' but still feels empty. But I'll get there soon and I wish the same for the both of you too! :-)

That does thanks for replying so quickly! Wow, medications are expensive in Canada then. Sometimes I hate the NHS here in the UK, but our prescriptions are very cheap. It's about the equivalent of $15 for a prescription here and I was given 3 cycles worth of Clomid for that, with 2 being double dose! When I get paid I'd like to donate a little. I'm just sorry it won't be enough to cover 1 cycle. Good luck with it all :-)

Awe that is so very sweet of you :) honestly I did not intend for anyone to feel pressured into donating enough for a whole cycle! Any little bit will help and who knows next cycle could be THE cycles and then you were a part of it :) !
I wish meds were that cheap here... I mean I can't complain I usually only had to pay like 20$ out of pocket but now that they no longer cover anything it's a lot to handle.

How much would it cost you in Canada to get a prescription for clomid? (And the cost of clomid?) Hope you don't mind me asking :-)

HI :) No i dont mind at all! Femara right now because im on 5mg is costing me 120$ CAD a month. Clomid around the same strength would probably be 100$ CAD :) The prescriptions themselves wont cost me anything as my doctor visits are mostly covered, its just the extra tests and treatments that arent along with the medication.
Hope that answers your question :)

      HI Maria,
In our Province life is VERY expensive and the economy currently sucks. I have been trying very hard to find another job with no luck. We have cut out anything extra and are focusing on bills and infertility. I wish at was as easy as "just getting a job". Thank you for considering to donate, we appreciate it very much.

Have you thought about doing a fundraiser of some sort to raise money?

Well, from my experience with a couple of people that went to my church, they were both adopting overseas and decided to do several fundraisers. Do you have a church that you go to? One idea that my friends did was they had a huge rummage sale that was put on by the church . Its like a big big garage sale. You and even the church could post for people to bring items in that they no longer need to be donated towards the sale. All proceeds then would go to your fertility treatment. My friends ended up getting a few thousand dollars just from the sale. It might require you to set up and clean up but if you have people help you, its not bad! It helps having a church that can support you because the people in the church could be your primary supporter. Another option would be to have a car wash sale held at the church or even somewhere else if you have another idea. Maybe a spagetti dinner held by the church? Thats an option. If you have facebook, you could also set up a blog explaining your situation and then set up a donation fund. There are lots of options. :)
