I don’t know if he will or won’t fight. But I can tell you he shouldn’t. A mediocre grappler/wrestler will eat him for lunch. And he should know it. Boxing isn’t MMA. MMA isn’t boxing. A great MMA fighter has a puncher’s chance against a boxer in the ring. The greatest boxer in the world has basically zero chance against a good MMA fighter in the octagon. It’s not a dis on Floyd. The guy is a great boxer (some would say the greatest but I don’t believe in GOATS). And he should be proud of what he’s accomplished in his career. But guys have to learn to pass the torch instead of always trying to stay in the spotlight. He also has nothing to gain. If he actually does fight, he can’t fight an actual contender. The fight is over in less than two minutes of the first round. And that’s if the contender fighter is being very nice. If he fights a nobody and loses......well, people will rail on him. If he fights a nobody and actually wins, he hasn’t gained any respect from anyone because he fought a nobody. But that nobody has gained all kinds of fame. And that nobody is going to do everything in his power to beat Mayweather. Because if he does, then he will be the first (and most likely the last) person to be able to say they fought AND beat Floyd “Pretty Boy” Mayweather in the octagon. My advice is enjoy the money he’s earned, enjoy the fame, make appearances, and live life.
Ray Mercer was far from being the best boxer in the world at the time and he went in the octagon and knocked a guy out straight away, Shannon Briggs also fought in mma and knocked a guy out. Don’t be so disrespectful to boxing lmfao they can still fuck mma fighters up they just have to adapt to the movement and respect the takedowns and ground game
