  • Learn how to make scoopable wax for wax melters with Natures Garden Candle Making Supplies!
    This fragrance fun project uses our Endlessly in Love Fragrance Oil!
    Total Recipe Amounts:
    16 ounces Joy Wax
    12 ounces Avocado Oil
    2.88 ounces Endlessly in Love Fragrance Oil
    3.5 ounces Pillar of Bliss Wax
    Step 1: First, weigh out 12 ounces of the Joy Wax. Melt the wax using a double boiler.
    Step 2: Use a toothpick to add a very small amount of the Spectrum Liquid Candle Dye and stir to incorporate.
    Step 3: Then, add 2.1 ounces of the Endlessly in Love Fragrance Oil and 9 ounces of avocado oil to the melted wax. Stir to incorporate.
    Step 4: As the mixture begins to cool, it will thicken. Continue to stir periodically until the temperature is around 130 degrees Fahrenheit or lower.
    Step 5: Once your mixture has cooled, pour the mixture into the 4 ounce jars. Each jar will be filled about 3/4 of the way to the top of the jar. Allow this pink layer to set up before creating the next layer.
    Step 6: While you are waiting for this layer to set up, prepare the heart embeds. So, weigh out 3.5 ounces of Pillar of Bliss Wax and melt the wax using a double boiler.
    Step 7: Then, add 0.3 ounces of the Endlessly in Love Fragrance Oil and one drop of the red liquid candle dye to the melted wax. Stir to incorporate.
    Step 8: Once your ingredients are melted and mixed, pour the red scented wax into the heart embed mold. Allow the wax embeds to set up before removing them from the mold.
    Step 9: Now, you can create the second layer. Weigh out 4 ounces of Joy Wax and melt using a double boiler.
    Step 10: Then, add 0.7 ounces of the Endlessly in Love Fragrance Oil and 3 ounces of sweet almond oil to the melted wax. Stir to incorporate.
    Step 11: Again, as the mixture begins to cool, it will thicken. Continue to stir periodically until the temperature is around 130 degrees Fahrenheit or lower.
    Step 12: Once your mixture has cooled, pour the mixture into the 4 ounce jars to fill them.
    Step 13: Then, place a wax heart on top of each of the filled 8 ounce jars.
    Step 14: Once your wax has completely setup, place a lid on each jar and allow the scoopable wax to cure for at least 48 hours before using.
    Your scoopable wax is now ready to use!

      @@Naturesgardencandles Thank you Lima NG. I have piller of bliss, is why I am asking. Can Melissa NG do a scoopable wax with piller of bliss?

    • @Naturesgardencandles
      @Naturesgardencandles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not too sure about that one! The aim is to have soft wax when you add the Avocado Oil. Joy wax and Soy wax are naturally softer waxes because they're for containers. The Pillar of Bliss is a harder wax because it's for votives. I'm not sure if even adding Avocado oil to PoB would soften it enough to be scoopable, but it's not something we've tested. I'll mention it to Melissa! :) - Lima NG

    • @Naturesgardencandles

      Hi! The scoopable wax is softer than a traditional wax melt. While it is soft, it does set up. Many customers will create and sell these and I have never had anyone say that they have had a problem with shipping, but we haven't tried shipping them. I like them because since it is softer and gets the scent into the air faster.

    • @Naturesgardencandles
      @Naturesgardencandles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That it correct. Joy wax is softer and allows it to be "scoopable". Pillar of bliss by itself is perfect for wax melts that are in molds because they harden and pop out perfectly to make lovely wax melts or tarts.
      In order to have a scoopable wax there has to be the combination of the 2 waxes. I hope that helps.-Janette NG🌺
