    When you’re squishing them to make them round, do you just hold the neck loosely so some air can squeeze out? Love to see closeups of putting two together!

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh good question! I'll try to get some close ups in a future video to illustrate better, but you press gently-ish on the balloon, and you can also let some air out by holding the neck gently at the same time, but you don't necessarily need to let air out to get the round shape.

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there! You can use a combination of any of the main sizes (5", 11", 17", etc.) in each dupe, I would just make sure to inflate them to different sizes if you use 2 of the same size. Like if you do a dupe of two 11" balloons, make one 7" and the other 11" or something like that. Does that make sense?

    I love your videos. I am about to attempt to create a outdoor balloon garland for a wedding shower. For the 11" balloon, about what size is the balloon. Thank you. i bought a kit but, I don't want to use a strip. is 260Q best for tying clusters together. They are not Qualatex. They are a cheaper balloon but have the colors i need. I'm nervous to attempt this...lol

      Thanks so much, Mona! Best of luck to you!
      Being that it will be outdoors in summer, be sure to set it up as close to the event as possible to avoid it getting damaged by the sun before the shower starts!
      260 balloons are perfect for tying together, they don't have to be Qualatex.
      The 11" balloon is 11" when inflated, is that what you meant? I always under-inflate, and vary the size, so for me they're more like 7-11" when inflated.
      Hope that helps!

Question is I doubled stuffed, because I love that look. I have sage green, nude, deeper nude, brown and darker brown. How would you color block that? Also how many of each...unfortunately all 10 inch except 5 inch little ones!Thank you, your video makes me think I can do this

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey P! Not to worry, I don't have balloons for sale just yet but I do appreciate the thought! Ooooh that sounds like a beautiful combo, and if you're double stuffing each color on its own, so you'll have five colors in all, you could either go light to dark (or dark to light) or mix and match, maybe like dark brown, nudge, sage, brown, deeper nude, something like that? You got this! Don't forget to tag me on IG so I can see it in the end : )

    Do you recommend practising these as in for no one (I hate the fact they will be going to waste if they turn out really good!) did you waste a lot of balloons practising before starting out or did you just offer people free ones when occasions come up?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Such a good question!
      My first several were done completely for free, and after that I got the bug and went and bought some cheap supplies and practiced to get more confident, and then paid jobs started coming in.
      I also offered discounted prices while I was learning and did many jobs for low rates to get experience and build my portfolio.
      I would say there’s nothing wrong with practicing to perfect your craft! Maybe you can find some things to celebrate in life and create balloon installations for them? 🥳

    • @BubblyBalloonCo

      Hi Lynn! Sounds like it'll be beautiful! How long it takes is going to be different for everyone, and I can't tell what size you're talking about making, all in. Maybe 10-12 feet? If you haven't done one before I'd allow several hours for it. If the shower is outside, I'd recommend making it inside and bringing it out as late as possible to protect it from the sun damage for as long as possible : )

      Tough call on the brands! Obviously Qualatex is tried and true and you can’t go wrong with them!
      I absolutely love the colors from Tuftex and some from Sempertex as well, and used both of those brands for this creation.
      I bought the Sempertex from balloons.online and I usually get Tuftex from PS Helium or All American Balloons.
      I am about to try Kalisan (can be purchased from Bargain Balloons) as I am hearing great things about them!
      As far as colors go, I used:
      Sempertex - Sand
      Sempertex - Rosewood (double stuffed)

      Mine are natural but I do have dip powder on which is basically acrylic, right? For me it keeps them strong, and I just try not to poke the balloons with them 🤣 Professional balloons are generally really tough and I’ve yet to (knock on wood) pop a balloon with a nail. Hi I think im inflating my balloons too big. I know you do random sizes what roughly would be the biggest size. I'm finding so hard to join the clusters together

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Laura! The largest for my 12” balloons is probably about 11” or so? Like once you let the air out a little and round it out, you should be good to go. I hope that helps! Feel free to comment again if you’re still having trouble. I have many videos showing the cluster process as well if it helps!

      Oh mannnnn! I'm gonna have to do a dedicated video on this, as I don't have like a a magic trick for it, but I do have a few things I do to help with it. You can try inflating the top portion of the balloon (I think I go over this trick in my video on 5" balloons?), you can double stuff, and you can also use filters on your pics, for starters... 😜

      Hi Mia! I actually just released a video on what balloons I use & where I buy them, you can see it here: th-cam.com/video/8Bq5Nygv8q0/w-d-xo.html The dreaded nipple can be helped by using high quality balloons, double stuffing, and by inflating the top portion of the balloon, as gone over in my how to use 5" balloons video. : )

    How do you know how much pressure a balloon can take? I feel like I’d accidentally squeeze them to death. 🎈

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL! I know that fear! It took me a hot minute of really working with them and learning how they flex & move to get past that. Honestly, I've never popped one from pressure! (Only from over inflation, or defects in balloons.)
      You don't need to press on them too hard, just enough to round out the shape.
      You can avoid over inflating by stopping inflating before it gets to that pear/bell shape. If you need to, let a little air out before/while you press on it.
      Hope that helps, thanks for asking!
      XO, Rach

    How many balloons do we need to make a garland?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello there! Depends how large you want to go with it! For the size I made here (about 8 feet), I believe I used around 75 balloons of different sizes (5" - 11" with a couple 17" or 24"s).

    How many balloons did you use for this garland, how many would you use for no stuffed garland

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sheila! Great question! I used about 80 11 inch balloons on this one (about 20 of those were double stuffed). Then I used about 25 5" balloons to decorate with.
      It depends how big you are going! It takes 8 balloons to make a standard cluster, and usually 6-8 clusters makes a 6-8 foot balloon garland. So 60+/- single stuffed balloons for a small/medium garland.
      XOXO,
      Rach

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sheilamachuca9260 good question!! if it starts to get pear shaped, you're too far. Let some air out, and press on it to get the round shape and let some air out.
      Also practice/test with a couple balloons ahead of time and see what kind of inflation works for your climate! Inflate a couple of balloons to different levels and hang them outside for a few hours at the time of day your event will be to see which one does better! : )
