    Hi Rachel, your tutorials have helped me gain so much confidence in building arches and garlands! I have an upcoming event where I would like to hang a garland over a 10'x8' freestanding banner frame. The issue is that the horizontal bar of the frame won't be accessible because it will be fed through the pocket of the banner. Other than anchoring the bases of the frame with heavy weights, how would you secure the garland? Can I use large spring clamps for the horizontal bar and attach the garland to them using 260's?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Kim! Oh that’s awesome, thank you for watching and sharing the kind words! Yes that’s exactly what I would do, that’s what I do when I use backdrops. I think I even have the clamps I use linked in most video descriptions, but yeah just about any secure clamp should do it! Best of luck to you, I bet you’re going to do great! 🫶🏻

      Thanks Janet! Totally depends on the balloons you're using and your environment. Sometimes they still look like new after a few days, and sometimes it needs to be the day of. I recommend testing with the exact balloons you'll be using ahead of time to see how they age for you.

      @BubblyBalloonCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Lauren, check this video out for my fave brands and where I buy, I also have another video on buying from Amazon or Etsy if you choose to do that. th-cam.com/video/8Bq5Nygv8q0/w-d-xo.html and how early to hang depends on how your garland is going to age, I always recommend testing by inflating a bunch asap and see if they still look good after a couple days or if it needs to be same day or what. Hope that helps!

    Hello love your videos the are very helpful for us beginners. I have to do my grandaughters first birthday balloons because she lives in Alaska no party decorators there. So im practicing first. So I tried the cluster but it doesn’t look as pretty as yours. I think my first mistake was balloons too big.how many inches do you recommend the balloons to be?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Pamela! It definitely takes some practice to get used to it all! I would use 11 inch balloons or a mix of 11 & 17 inch balloons for the cluster and inflate them to different sizes - on the 11s I usually go for a mix between 7 & 10 or so, and round! Roundness is key to a pretty cluster! I hope that helps. And I love Alaska! Wish I could come do them for you guys! 🤩🤩 happy 1st birthday!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳

      5 different shades of peach, 3 different shades of sage green. It looks like there are 2 shades of white and 3 shades of gold. 2 shades of dusty pink and 2 shades of pearl-ish rose gold🤦‍♀️I know I have 5", 9", 12" and 18" and there might be more🙄. But no bigger ones. Thanks to your videos though I can make them every size under 18" my heart desires😘 I'll try to get pictures to post here

    Ugh. The place I’m hosting party only allows set up 20 min before. How can I attach without command hooks if it takes 24 hrs to cure? Please& thx!

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oof! Been there. 1) the books I use only take an hour to cure so that’s not so bad, 2) how heavy is your garland? If it’s a light/small one I would hope it wouldn’t be a problem, but you could maybe use extra hooks? 3) look for other ways to attach. A ceiling you can hang from, nails in the wall, physical things that are there that you can attach to, that’s always my first choice because command hooks aren’t perfect, but I’ve never had a problem with attaching to something permanent. Best of luck to you!

    Hi, so you just keep wrapping the 260's to the arch? I thought the two sides of the 260 still needs to meet to be secured:)

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! You can of course tie the ends together if you want, but what I do is just wrap the loose end in there a ton to keep it wrapped in tight! It hasn't failed me yet!

    • @BubblyBalloonCo

      Thank you!
      These are the .5 lb hooks - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KYOGJG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      I usually use the 2-3 lb hooks though - www.target.com/p/command-6-hooks-12-strips-medium-sized-utility-hooks-value-pack-white/-/A-14887336#lnk=sametab
      They do make command hooks that are meant for the outdoors, but it depends what you're attaching to! It's good for a smooth building, like metal or siding, but it's not good for concrete/cement, etc. They also make exterior ones for windows. Same rules as usual - follow the package instructions but make sure you cure it for an hour before hanging!
      Best of luck!
      XOXO,
      Rach

    So after you wrapped the 260 around the balloons .. you just let the 260 go and it stayed in place? You don’t have to tie it to anything?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nia! Yes, believe it or not! I wrap it many times through many balloons to make sure it's secure (and I usually go overboard to be safe). Or you could do the opposite, tie the one end to the garland and tie the other end to the command hook, but I've never had a problem with the first method (aside from a surface where the command hook won't stick, ugh!) 😜
      XOXO,

    How long does the garland last for? Can you do it a few days prior or no?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! Usually you're safe to do a garland a couple days in advance as long as you're using professional grade balloons, but I always recommend testing the balloons you're going to be using by inflating a few as soon as possible to see how they age over the coming days so you're sure!

      Hi Angela! Check out this video here to see how to make a garland like this in about 15 minutes: th-cam.com/video/HT_DaiPH4WU/w-d-xo.html It might take some practice, but you can get pretty quick at it! If it's your first time, I'd allow a couple of hours, at least : )

    • @BubblyBalloonCo

    What’s the best way to hang a balloon on a wall or outside

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I find that hanging on something permanent is always the best option, but if nothing exists I can secure it to, command hooks will do in a pinch. They make indoor and outdoor ones so just choose the right one for the surface you’re using and follow the tips on the box to make sure it sticks!

    How do you hang the balloons on a backdrop?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Vicky!! I cover a couple different methods in some other videos - you can tie it to the backdrop stand itself, you can put command hooks on the wall behind the stand, you can attach the garland to the backdrop clips on the stand, or even put safety pins in the cloth backdrop and attach to those. I prefer the more permanent methods myself!
