Love the video, I just got into aoe barb farming. So this video was really helpful for me. One thing I found if you go back to home kingdom aoe barb farm with crystal tech it’s harder. Cause you hit a level 15 or 13 barb as soon ysg’s goes off they just die instantly. So makes it little harder even level 20 to 22 as soon he hits them with aoe they are in the yellow. But over all some great tips and was hoping you had a video of this was just thinking about it tonight while I was barb farming.
And once you've expended the action points on a barb, you can keep targeting that barb over and over without costing additional action points. Because of that, with enough patience and strategy, you can barb farm all day long without spending a single action point more than your original cost.
You could go back and get that 51 which got away at no action point cost since you targeted it originally. You can then use it to AOE other barbs that may move in or spawn in that area. For events like lohar which you get bones for any level of barb, i'll give you a trick. Wait for a high level barb to spawn near your city, then you can use the search function to spawn a bunch of low levels near your city. Use that original barb to trigger your AOE and kill the low level barbs that you searched in 1 burst of your AOE skill. Once the lower lever barbs are killed that you searched don't kill the original, run away until it disengages. Then search and spawn more barbs and go back to that original barb to trigger your AOE again..... You may need to lower your troop number so you don't kill that original barb.
As someone in Heroic Anthem right now, this is not possible for the vast majority of us. You have a huge amount of crystal tech which gives you a massive advantage. A free player can not do this.
To get the other barb instead of safe play pull a GoddessRe move 😎 drop the second barb to right then pick him up again so he have the higher health and then he definitely reaches other barb (also famous for starting chains off guardians and keep wanderers so no AP spent 😊… likewise should never pay for a kahar using this idea )
When the rage bar is full you should start continuously moving horizontally to keep the barb engaged, moving closer to the barb you want to chain. When you get the barb in your radius, stop and let the skill fire.
How about making a video of how the devolopers have changed the gameplay on barbs? 1. barbs sprint away as soon as you come close 2. clusters of barbs are no more than 3 or 4, and when you do come close they dart away from each other. 3. they have shortened the distance that barbs can be dragged. You move a little and they pull back! come on! Why do we constantly have to play with the feeling of getting screwed? I spend to play, but gameplay keeps changing to nagatively impact the players. To barb chain was great to see how many you could line up, now its a waste of time and frustrating. I'm becoming very negative with their tactics

f2p definitely do this with Richard/YSG and T5. Checkout 12inchpvpness channel for example. If done right, Richard/YSG can last forever against lv41-45 barbs as soon as you have 4/5 on Battlefield Analysis I and Defensive Stance I tech. No need for higher level tech.

giving you a like on that video, I have been aoe barbs since start of game for me and the like is for your diplomatic way to tell idiots to not break someones chain, those players are the most annoying people in a game
I tend to let the barb hit me after moving a small distance, then I can drag him quite far, but as soon as you move over the AoE range of YSG in distance and no contact... he resets back to his spawn location.
Depends how far in the game you are and how much of a spender you are. For a F2P, inf is probably better as you get some great commanders very early on - Richard, Alex, Constantine, Guan.. But cav is also interesting because they're faster so you can pick your battles better, but you're really gonna need Saladin if you want to be at all effective, which is a hotly contested MGE commander. At least before A/T come into the game. So yeah most f2p I've seen focus on inf first for the relative ease of getting good comms / gear for them, but YMMV
Aethelflaed/Richard is as good as Richard/YSG. You get the advantage of the peacekeeping tree which saves a ton of AP over time and can chain many multiples of barbs.
Hi guys. Finally able to expertise YSG. But wondering whether Richard 5-5-1-1 has enough healing for such barbs farming. I am afraid that not, especially without high level gear. Can someone advice pls.
I noticed something: If your tech is weak and you're using aoe commander barbarians will come to you. But if you're tech is maxed barbarians will run from you. *Strange*
AOE barb farm and farm gems with 4 other marches...that's how I get my gems in Home Kingdom, Lost Kingdom, etc..and my farm gets all my other resources.
Yeah he directs it at f2p players and forgets you need t5 with maxed commanders and equipment as well as spend huge in kvk to get the crystal tech, otherwise it's impossible.

Pretty sure he's spending bottles as shown in the video.But if you already have a stockpile of bottles it's quite unlikely you'll run out by aoe farming
They massacred the barb gem drop rate adding materials. Materials are good but so not worth the trade off I can buy materials with gems but I can’t buy gems with materials if you know what I mean
At T5 this should be achievable - less the chaining, more the AOE. And even if you bring a ‘helper march’ to beat down the focus barb, you’re still getting value above and beyond forts. I should have covered this better.

You can hit a barb army with 5 armies or however armies you have and get 5x the loot from 1 barb army
But you have to spend ap for every march hitting it
