  • As a member of the 442nd RCT, I Company, Seattle-born Victor Izui, was part of the rescue of the Lost Battalion. In this Hanashi Oral History interview clip from April 2000, Victor discusses the role of the veterans in the Japanese American redress movement and reviews the role of the younger generations to "carry on the fight... and extend the gains that the [Nisei soldiers] made."
    The Go For Broke National Education Center's Hanashi Oral History Collection interview was conducted in 2000.
