Yes. Thank you for this! I don’t understand how anyone can believe the letter. Verity was incredibly manipulative. The part that freaked me out the most was on Lowen’s birthday she confronts verity and her reaction is to pee on herself so that Jeremy has to spend the whole night with her instead of Lowen. Insane! 😂
It makes no sense for Jeremy to be involved in the car accident because he’d have gotten hurt too and he didn’t. I think he never knew about the manuscript and wasn’t involved in the car crash. Also the timing doesn’t add up, she only wrote that letter after Jeremy and Lowen had sex, when I assume she knew she couldn’t get him back. That letter was meant for Lowen to find and make her doubt and ruin their relationship. I think the author herself is also team manuscript.
I was unsure but now I agree with your points and think Verity is a liar. Why would she stay there for that long and then decide to write the letter that late? It’s only to cover her tracks.
My counterpoints to your reasoning - 1. Jeremy’s reaction to the manuscript was suspicious. When Lowen showed it to him, his exact words were “Where did you find this?”-implying he already knew about its existence. 2. He allowed Crew to stay near Verity, which suggests he wasn’t fully convinced she was dangerous. 3. The scar on Chastin and Harper’s peanut allergy incident could easily be coincidences. Such events, while tragic, are not uncommon in real life. Verity, grieving and emotionally shattered, may have incorporated these details into her writing as a form of catharsis. 4. Verity wrote the letter the night Lowen and Jeremy were intimate. It was her first real chance to explain herself. Writing such a detailed and coherent letter, especially in her condition, would have taken significant effort and time, which aligns with the timeline. 5. Lowen didn’t know Verity personally and was already predisposed to distrust her after reading the manuscript. There’s no way Verity could have convinced her of her innocence, given how biased Lowen already was. 6. Amanda, Verity’s editor, wasn’t obligated to inform Lowen about the writing exercise. Editors frequently suggest techniques or prompts without formally documenting them. Verity’s claim in the letter is entirely plausible in this context. 7. Lastly, Verity repeated key moments about Jeremy in the letter not to manipulate him, but to evoke memories and emotions, hoping he would reconsider his assumptions.
Point no. 6 is amazing it really turning me in to team manuscript and i too didn’t notice what the book cover really is, it’s too an amazing detail. But i have a doubt i hope you will help me through it. If verity is evil then why she wrote all that in her biography while keeping it in mind that anyone could read this and she will be in danger.
you make a good point, but i mean- she shouldn't have written that in any case scenario. 😭😭 also, considering the fact she could never share those things with anyone, they must be bubbling up inside her. so she probably journalled her life, to make herself feel lighter.
Verity could have written a letter of explanation at any time, but she didn't. She wrote it the night of Lowens birthday, after Lowen made it obvious she had found & read the manuscript. If her editor had actually gave her that advice & Jeremy had staged the car wreck, Verity could have reported it as soon as she woke up from the coma. Verity was counting on the fact that Jeremy never read anymore of her work after the first book. I just read it yesterday, so I'm late for reviews 😊 I have not read the epilogue. Just learned about it.
@anarghyagaroo yeah, she should have stopped with the book. I don't think she should have wrote the epilogue, unless she was writing a second book. I guess one could still come out but......
See there’s two possible scenarios here. First obviously stating her letter self might’ve been true after all. The new epilogue in the book changed a lot of people’s minds. Or if her manuscript self was true, she actually wrote that letter for lowen herself and never intended for Jeremy to find out as she was explaining a lot of events in the letter as if she were explaining it to a third person. So whatever she wrote would probably all be false.
I just read this book and I mentioned it to my coworker because I can’t stop thinking about it and she was team letter and I was like no…. The manuscript was the true versionnnnn. Ugh so good
I would like to add one more point.. Why did she kept both of her daughters in daycare.. Like if she was such a good mother why she didn't feed them and took care of them.. Jeremy himself said that she took good care of chastin but never of harper.. Even she told about her pregnancy while Jeremy was angry with her just to keep her relationship good
It's 3 am, i am writing this comment, as u mentioned in the video, i am finding it difficult to sleep after reading Verity😅. Was in confusion at the end of the book but your points are perfectly supporting your argument. Thanks for the clarification ❤.
EXACTLYYY that means he probably knew about the manuscript, he had read it before!!!!!!! it's either "where did YOU find this?" or "where did you find THIS?" or "WHERE did you find this" in each of them, it's clear that he knows that the manuscript exists
Finally lol I needed a sense of relief after reading the last chapter ! I appreciate this video so much ah yes I was right all along. Team manuscript for sure.
well most probably because she was a chatterbox and did seem suspicious to him, thus he didn’t wanna take any chances. although he too seems to be a lil off
@@anarghyagaroo exactly! I understand why he killed verity, i mean she is a insane, psychopath lady, she killed their daughter daughter(according to manuscript) but how can he kill a innocent lady and then behave like nothing happened. A normal person can't be like this.

but how could we forget the bonus chapter and how Jeremy easily got away with killing two women?? Patricia and verity?

exactly!!! if jeremy knew about the manuscript he would've never left for lowen to find out about it. verity was just trying to clear her tracks.
I was unsure but now I agree with your points and think Verity is a liar. Why would she stay there for that long and then decide to write the letter that late? It’s only to cover her tracks.
She wanted Jeremy to love her till the end despite feeling guilty of himself after reading the letter
She wanted the only one to be loved by Jeremy...wanted lowen to leave him after reading the letter
Couldn’t they easily find out if it’s true by having a meeting with her editor and find out if she ever suggested that?
Good point lmaooo
The author confirmed that the letter was false
I feel like that was the obvious answer. Colleen Hoover is team manuscript.
THE COVER IS HARPER AND THE FISHNET?! HOLY COW!
Would love to see your thoughts after the next chapter in the newest edition of verity. That chapter changed everything.
i do have a video on that chapter too, would love for you to check it out! ❤️

She also mentioned in the autobiography that jermmy need to know this because she wants him to know how much she loves him
And if you notice the book cover carefully, there's a slight hint at the red dress. The figure seems to be wearing a red dress.
