    not a farmer, but i like to actually see for myself how food is produced and don't solely rely on portrayals by media and/or ngo's (global issue these days). this channel in particular is somewhat funny and entertaining. so instead of just looking out the window waiting for time to go by i figure i might as well watch some Millenial Farmer ...

And I happened to see your channel and watched it a few times and now I try to watch it as much as I can. For one reason is that I really like the way you are not an seem to treat people like they are just your slaves. My friend did that to everyone that worked for him. He was an ass at times. So thank you so much for making such a great batch of videos I kind of really miss farming but now I am do what I love to do and have done for 30 some years now. I think it's a great way for you folks to learn off of each other and make American farmers more productive. America feeds the world and the world is getting populated at a prodigious rate. Meeting up at farm shows and state fairs is nice, but the flow of ideas and "Ah-ha!" moments on the internet brings changes and knowledge in the NOW instead of the, too late for this season, category.

      Haven't been in a combine in awhile, but that yawn you made on camera reminded me how fun they are to operate after the second hour of harvest, until you almost get stuck, then things get real, in a hurry. I like watching till the end, cuz I don't think people understand how long our days really are. I love that you inform everyone what time it is when you finish, when you go out to check the drier, what time it is when you get outside to greet the big bulb in the sky. Glad to see I am not the only one that has had to work those kind of hours to get the job done. Don't ya love climbing the bin at two in the morning to see if you can fit the last drier cycle in? I wish we had that size wet-bin when I harvested, that would have made corn harvest go so much faster.

    • @johomerza
      @johomerza 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ivyandroses4373 sounds like you could have maximized your population a little more. Were the ears large, like 24oz pounder size, or were they Coors light 12oz size. Any good farmer knows you compare size to a beer can!! That's taught in Farming 101 class.

    I’m “vocationally” retired. I was born and raised on the farm that I currently live on, and since retirement at 54, I have helped farm in the spring and fall. I guess you can’t take the country out of the boy. I’m in central Indiana and enjoy seeing you folks in the upper Midwest dealing with the big business of farming in a somewhat different climate, but certainly many of the same issues, challenges and conditions. I’m very impressed with your operation, business savvy and your involvement in the Agriculture community. BTW, getting stuck is NO FUN, and we’ve had our share of it last fall and this Spring.

    Not a farmer, just a Cidiot from Canada that just can’t get enough ...hence why I’m watching 2019 harvest in 2020. Keep up the great work.

    I grew up on a small farm. Still live on a farm now though. I love farming, I started watching your channel because it is entertaining to me. I can still be connected. I have a lot of farmers for customers, I started a hydraulic hose/hardware/supply business a while back mainly to help farmers in my area. To keep them up and running when they "need" to keep going is my goal. P.S. I'd love your channel more if you had more red equipment lol.

    I'm retired pipefitter welder. As a youngster of 12 I used to board out summers with a CNY dairy farm, ex was a farm girl, helped her Dad from time to time before the auction. Not very far from where you recently visited. Also used to do some of the neighbor's weld repair. Always preferred the farm 'n country living, with horses. Enjoying your videos also even if they are very green... ( :

    Not a farmer, but come from an agricultural family.. spent my youth on Alberta family ranches and farms learning, and getting into good trouble.. Learned a lot from my Uncles about livestock and grain farming.. will always thank them for that.

      I hear ya....same here. Left the farm and sold my dairy cows since there wasn't enough land to share with two brothers. Don't really miss it for government paperwork but enjoyed the labor....especially my pet cows...all of them. I find it interesting to see the technology behind equipment operations now-a-days. Back in the late '70's when a brother-in-law first bought a self steer unit for the tractors used in seeding wheat (northern MN) my family thought it was crazy that one couldn't steer the tractor himself. My how time changes things.
