- Everything is getting stuck! Well, not everything but our semi and Randy's cart sure did. The conditions are anything less than ideal with more rain on the way.. The J&M cart is handling the conditions like a boss and we love the Crary Wind System. The Thunder Creek Fuel trailer sure saves us time and we can especially appreciate it when running this far behind.

not a farmer, but i like to actually see for myself how food is produced and don't solely rely on portrayals by media and/or ngo's (global issue these days). this channel in particular is somewhat funny and entertaining. so instead of just looking out the window waiting for time to go by i figure i might as well watch some Millenial Farmer ...

@Thor The Northern you gotta check out some of the air seeders and harrows they use in Australia. Sometimes double the size of America's biggest drills.

Alex Haman Canada too. Farms aren’t usually big enough to come very far south, Australia has huge equipment. A huge bushel grain cart sits in SD from Australia. Quite large.
Doesn't even phase Randy, master pipe layers are a rare fearless breed. Can't imagine harvesting in nothing but mud!
He might have to find someone to tile that ground.

Not a farmer. One night was watching TH-cam and a video popped up of you fixing something in the floor of a grain bin. Been watching ever since. Also have been fascinated with BIG farm machinery and crop farming. Mostly muddy dairy farms around me in NE Pa. Watching how computerized farming has became with GPS and Wi-Fi is the coolest. Watched a video recently of you chopping corn and you were controlling the tractor and grain cart next to you while transferring. It totally blew my mind.

I am a farmer from the England. Until three years ago I was a dairy farmer but now I describe myself as a forage farmer (producing grass silage for my nephew who still milks). With farming there are always 'problems'. I often say "everyday's a disaster but every now and then it's a calamity".

I am a farmer. Seed 85 thousand acres, 12 hundred sow operation, 50 milking cows, 14 thousand laying chickens, and raise 2 thousand turkeys a year. Green machines all the way. I watch when i'm in the mill running feed, i guess you could say im bored.

I think it's a great way for you folks to learn off of each other and make American farmers more productive. America feeds the world and the world is getting populated at a prodigious rate. Meeting up at farm shows and state fairs is nice, but the flow of ideas and "Ah-ha!" moments on the internet brings changes and knowledge in the NOW instead of the, too late for this season, category.

Haven't been in a combine in awhile, but that yawn you made on camera reminded me how fun they are to operate after the second hour of harvest, until you almost get stuck, then things get real, in a hurry. I like watching till the end, cuz I don't think people understand how long our days really are. I love that you inform everyone what time it is when you finish, when you go out to check the drier, what time it is when you get outside to greet the big bulb in the sky. Glad to see I am not the only one that has had to work those kind of hours to get the job done. Don't ya love climbing the bin at two in the morning to see if you can fit the last drier cycle in? I wish we had that size wet-bin when I harvested, that would have made corn harvest go so much faster.
@@ivyandroses4373 sounds like you could have maximized your population a little more. Were the ears large, like 24oz pounder size, or were they Coors light 12oz size. Any good farmer knows you compare size to a beer can!! That's taught in Farming 101 class.

I'm definitely not a farmer, but I am a millennial and I grew up on a farm in Michigan. 1500 acres of corn, dry beans, and sugar beets. Your operation is very similar in a lot of ways. Reminds me of the farm work I did with my dad and uncle. Cool to see the new machines. Harvest has an exciting energy.

It helps to have equipment that isn't constantly breaking down. It's been decades since I was involved in farming. I find it rather terrifying to see the amount of money it takes to farm now.

I hear ya....same here. Left the farm and sold my dairy cows since there wasn't enough land to share with two brothers. Don't really miss it for government paperwork but enjoyed the labor....especially my pet cows...all of them. I find it interesting to see the technology behind equipment operations now-a-days. Back in the late '70's when a brother-in-law first bought a self steer unit for the tractors used in seeding wheat (northern MN) my family thought it was crazy that one couldn't steer the tractor himself. My how time changes things.
I grew up a farmer in Eastern Washington. We farmed alfalfa and wheat. Our crops were irrigated with circles. Enjoy this channel about other crops and how it works.
