Great video and great job ! I used to work for a carbide endmill manufacturing company. I was in QA , inspection. They had a saying describing how the tools looked after manufacture. “ It’s good enough for a shop this size “. I didn’t agree with that and my boss soon found out why as I was scrapping tools left and right. He was impressed with me and ask how I developed that attitude. I told him it was from working on my Polaris sleds for 40+years. It’s either right or wrong. I don’t have gray areas !

Nice!
Nice when you have the option to make your own parts.
Excellent upload, split screen was perfect
Glad you liked it
Awesome video! The best parts are the ones you make yourself!
Definitely!
Thank you and TY for the McMaster-Carr part #
You bet!
Thanks for this! I service my own shocks and also bought a lathe earlier this year😁
That is awesome!
I love black dye-chem markers. I use them machining at work as well. Fun video.
Thanks Rick, See you Saturday?
Nice work as always!!
Thanks!
I always had to hand make my single point thread cutter out of tool steel. Never used a carbide bit before. Looks way easier. 👍
I used to do that too, but that tooling is so cheap now they pretty much force you to buy it :)
👋👍🏻🔧nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
Had no idea you can cut threads like that
How much was the part on ebay
Why don't you buy one and then compare the quality of the part from ebay to the quality of the one that you're making
Cheers Nutter 🍻
Cool video! The split screen is great! Just curious where you get your lathe tooling from?
Hi Rob. I just get it from the usual sources. ebay, amazon, HHIP, MSC, and the like.
Ok, thanks buddy! 👍
