I love my raspberry paperwhite . I think the reading experience is out of this world, its so crisp and clear. I have the colorsoft too and I do love it as well. I have the yellow at the bottom & I wish they would send out a fix!
I bought the 2024 Signature Paperwhite in raspberry and the Macha basic. It was hard to choose, so I bought both. My first Kindle was a Gen 2, back in 2009. I still miss that toggle switch that used to be on it instead of the bottom push button, and I super miss the wonderful page turn buttons that were on the device back then.... but that feeling of starting up a new Kindle is still magical. My first Kindle was the 4th gen. Paperwhite back in 2019, and since then I’ve only ever had Paperwhites, but right now I’m thinking about getting the basic Kindle ((as I won’t be able to afford the Colorsoft if I get the new Paperwhite)) while waiting for the Colorsoft….but I don’t know if it’s worth it or if I should just stick to the Kindle app on my iPad.

I LOVE the color! I only wish the colosoft came in actual colors - not just the screen but the device itself! (And I'm also so glad this fixed itself! Thanks Amazon)
I just received my Jade and love it!! I’m so sad the oasis is discontinued but keeping fingers crossed they decide to release another next year. My battery is dying in my oasis 😢
THANK YOU!! I've been trying to decide all day and research about which Kindle to go for as my first one as I'd like to get back into reading so I've asked for one for Christmas. It was this one or the Matcha whilst it's Black Friday but I have been struggling... but your videos have helped me decide and I'm going to go for the Matcha, I just love the original look over the sort of ipadish look the paperwhite has. I also love the matcha colouring as its all round although I LOVE the raspberry more, I'd have maybe considered that if it was all round as not keen on the black. Paperwhite was more crisp and clear but that's okay... anyways... Thank you 🎉🎉

Can I request a tutorial of you using the iCloud storage for kindle books? I can’t decide between the matcha basic or the matcha signature kindle reader. I know it will take a lot of books to fill 16gb and definitely a lot more to fill 32gb. But I want to believe for the price the 32 gb will be the “best/better” option.
Sure, I can definitely talk about this in an upcoming video or a short! However I will say that I have never even used over half my 15 gb storage on my basic kindle because the files are just so small! If you need to remove one from your device you just click "remove from device" and it goes back into the cloud! Then you'd just tap it to get it back on your kindle! Super simple! :)
I bought the metallic raspberry thinking I really wanted the signature edition. But then I returned it because I thought it was ugly and looked like a cheap knockoff of an apple product from the early aughts. Now I just have the metallic black signature version but I so wish the Signature came in the matte raspberry or agave finishes.
I love your videos. Can you let me know, if any kindles have the page turning animation like the kindle app on the iPhone does? I got the basic matcha kindle and it doesn’t have that feature.
I wished they would have put the raspberry color on the front like the matcha. Yeah that was crazy with the ghosting going away with the updates. But maybe that was the new update when they probably realized the ghosting even though it was released already. Wonder if the yellowing would be fixed with the colorsoft? I have the KPwhite and I have mild ghosting. But I’ve had it for two years. If it happened when I first bought it, it would be a problem but either I’d get used to it or return it depending on how bad it really was. But you also want to get your moneys worth too. Thanks for sharing! 👻🩷📚 We need a Kindle emoji or at least a generic ereader one. lol
I COMPLETELY AGREE about the front part having color! This would be a slam dunk if so. It's part of what makes the matcha so special! I'm definitely still wondering about the colorsoft issue... I guess we will wait and see! We definitely do need that emoji - it would be in my most used for sure!
I also got the Colorsoft and the new raspberry Paperwhite and I'm a little bummed that my Paperwhite is super yellow (on the entire page) and dull fonts compared to my Colorsoft which is very crisp and bright white page color. I checked the warm light setting and it's set to zero. I've seen no one else say theirs has this problem. On the good side, I love my Colorsoft even more but wish I hadn't bought the raspberry Paperwhite. I guess I could return it but I'm weary of the whole Kindle release issues at this point and maybe there will be an update if anyone else has an issue. Your Paperwhite doesn't look like it has this problem with the entire page being yellow.
@@SummerSayre No, it's just the regular paperwhite. I wanted the matte back to it as you mentioned because I don't like the shiney metallic look of the signature either. I mean I'm sort of getting used to it not having the crisp white page look. I guess it's actually more beige than yellow but still it bugs me some that it's not crisp and white like my Colorsoft. Oh well, Maybe it'll correct itself. I hope! lol
I just purchased this for my 21 year old daughter for Christmas. It comes on Friday after being out of stock since 11/21. I really hope she doesn’t have any issues. I wanted this one because I wanted her to adjust the lighting. Any case suggestions for clear backs with a closer in front?
@SummerSayre that I don't know. Mine never had ads. When I bought it, it said it had ads and was only 8GB. When it arrived it had no ads and was 16GB. BTW, the new paperwhites are finally available at one store here in South Africa for 4.8K. I will only be able to get one, or both, from around July 2025.
I received mine 2 days ago. First kindle. I'm lucky i didn't get that yellow thing issue on the screen, but i do have some ghosting. I tried updating but it says i have the latest version (5.17.0). Which version do you have? I love your vids btw ❤ your voice is extremely relaxing.

I completely agree - I like the matte/soft finish. I think it actually looks more premium!
The ghosting on my Matcha Kindle “basic” went away when I paid to have the adds removed. 😒 It was particularly noticeable on the lock screen.

Oh no! Mine doesn’t have this issue - I’ve heard this issue is on a lot of the signature versions. Is yours the signature or the regular paperwhite?

Sometimes if you put your books into collections, the covers will display. At least that's what I found on my 11th gen paperwhite.
