This video was shot by myself and Dave the Viking! The audio was mixed live by me in the balcony on a 4 channel Behringer mixer with my Octava mics. This is the first public release of this video.

I remember pulling into Boulder post Thanksgiving 1998 from Long Island, NY and wandering into the old Whole Foods on Pearl to see these 4 playing at the Grocery store. I was first blown away by Whole Foods because back then there were Fuck’all anything like that where I grew up. It’s a grocery FFS!
On top of that it was a Bluegrass band playing. At the time, I knew Leftover Salmon, New Grass, Bela, Old and in the Way (obviously) and a little bit of String Cheese Incident. However at a Grocery store? It was a great experience and “the” eye opener as to why I moved here and never left!
I was a novice taper back in the day cutting my chops on Phish tour back on Summer and Fall ‘98 which started at the Greek (Reba & Something). I literally had no clue. Lots of helpful people helped me out.
Anyway, I began recording Yonder back in ‘99 and around 2000 began converting DSBD’s via DAT
to CDR! It was a straight transfer with no remastering.
My knowledge most shows in Colorado at that time were either DSBDs out of the board or by people like Larry (not sure if he wants me to throw his name out so I won’t) on Sennheiser mics.
Yonder as most other bands back then (Floodplain Gang, Tony Furtado, Runaway Truck Ramp, etc.) were just weekly bands to see. Leftover and String Cheese were the big guys on the Bill but even they played the smaller haunts like the Fox!
Fun times and most likely the pinnacle of the Boulder music scene. I still have stubs for Cheese @ $10 or my favorite a Jimmy McGriff and Hank Crawford show in ‘99 at the Fox for less than $20! I’ve seen a ton of great music at the Fox from Panic to Cheese to Greyboy, etc. This sit down jazz show with seats was by far the best thing I’ve ever seen at the Fox!

Thanks Buddy! Lots more to come, all full shows set by set! Someone tried to slap a copywrite on this video and another, which explains why I posted that we are the ones who shot this video. A few years ago someone got a hold of a Salmon video of ours and put theirselves up for all video credit. I think it's stupid to claim someone elses work. Peace and enjoy 714 dude!!! Boy I miss the Roher days!
