Rest in peace jeff 😢
I used to sew a new hippie outfit just to go see YMSB play :) ! Thank you Jeff Austin for the beautiful music. You inspired a whole amazing journey for me and words cannot express the magic and love and joy your music brings.
Very cool
And yes, agreed :)
This is such a powerful memory of what Jeff left us with. All those years seeing Yonder and then this evolution was a killer next step that needed to happen. He flew into the sun at all times, never afraid of the darkness and light...wherever it led. I can act like he's still around but damn man it sucks that he's gone. Yonder died for me after he left. The intensity and drive disappeared immediately. Much like the GD, Yonder (with Jeff) weren't the best at what they did, they were the only ones that did what they did. Thank you fr sharing this. I've watched it too many times to not say how thankful I am for you posting it, @Mark.
Rest in power, Jeff. My playing will always be infused with your spirit.
Well said. I miss this guy daily!!
I agree with your first 4 sentences.
Jeff was just incredible and so unique. I loved his scat singing, and improvisation of which this video is a fantastic example! I think he was the most underrated musician of our era. If you ever saw him live, That's it You were a convert! So funny, so gracious, so much heart!❤
My heart still aches for Jeff Austin's passing 💔
I thought this was JAB's best line-up.
Miss you, Jeff... RIP.
Makes my heart soar and ache
couldn't have put it better.
So grateful for these videos, Mark. This lineup sounds incredible...missin Jeff like all hell
Can I only give one thumbs up?
Thank you Mark, for your diligence and dedication in keeping memories like this alive. I still visit this show frequently, and share it effortlessly.
Hated to see him leave Yonder Mountain.
But LOVE the direction he is going.....

Miss and love you Jeff!
On November 4, a staggering number of musicians, most stalwarts of the scene I came to love through Yonder, will pay tribute to Austin. That list includes but isn’t limited to the Jeff Austin Band, Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, the Infamous Stringdusters, the Travelin’ McCourys, Hot Rize, Keller Williams, Billy Strings, and Yonder Mountain String Band. Each act will perform for 15 minutes with all proceeds benefiting the Jeff Austin Family Fund. Originally slated for the Mission Ballroom (capacity 3,950), the overwhelming interest and support forced a move to the 1stBANK Center in Broomfield (capacity 6,500).

amazing musical cohesion can't wait to see them this summer
Thank you for sharing this.
This is such incredible footage of an epic segment, thank you so much for putting it out there, could I pay you for a download of the original? I play it often and the ads come at the worst times. I'm not kidding I want it so badly I will pay, lol.
the Blue Ox Festival in June 2016 is going to be great.
My dude
He put together a better band. I fucking balled when I found out. Probably my hardest loss
And I am extremely bias, I stopped going to see Yonder after Jeff left. I've heard them on TH-cam a little bit he was YMSB imo and I recently decided to give a song a try and I played a video of them without Jeff and I turned it off after like a minute. I recently also just found out how he died... Fuck. He to me is such a special human and he still lives in all out hearts 💔❤️🩹❤️
He died because he was a drug addict with mental health issues. His wife did nothing. Keep hating on Yonder Mountain. I hope it soothes yer soul.
@@Marks-Memories did I mention anything about his wife?
@@Marks-Memories and it doesn't matter that he was an addict and mental issues. So do I, it's still heartbreaking
@@Marks-Memories I'm not hating on Yonder I just don't like them without Jeff and that's ok.
djammonit, da beatda
could this show have ended better? nope! SO MUCH RAGE
This is fantastic. Satan definitely present at times
Satan?
It's dark. But it's amazing
Miss you already...
