Jill has many great songs in her discography but THIS particular song is HER BEST SONG in her catalogue, period. That, in itself, is saying A LOT. He Loves Me is a certified classic. To me, it's her signature song. The one you wait all night for her to sing at her concert and get lost in the performance of the song. Jill is a master at emoting her feelings and this is a prime example of it.

You don't have to hit a lot of long high notes to sing veryyyy good it's really about the tone and style of Singing and her style is BEAUTIFUL although she can hit those wild long high notes I've heard it before it's just not in her go to style and I appreciate that.. a lot of people feel they have to do that to sing Gorgeous that's simply not true, I love Jill I always felt like your speaking and singing voice can reflect on the attitude or approach you take at it especially coming from a aspiring singer who does songs as poetry before singing them I know that kind of field to them... Been meaning to comment this for awhile, but Jill Scott and a very few others are more Jazz vocalists than r&b artist. What do I mean? Jazz vocalists are the rare breed that are not just fantastic singers, but are blessed with being able to make their voices their own instrument. Jill IS a treasure, IS a wonder, and I still think she will be venerated fifty years from now. Blow sister blow.....
