I would skip this model and wait for the next iteration because they haven't hit it right first time imo. No Full Display Port 2.1, so you'll be using DSC for the connection, which even if you don't mind/notice visual loss, it still comes with other annoyances. 165Hz as oppose to 240Hz, there are competitive games that could reach that and maintain visual fidelity without having to go down to 1080p at this size. Matte coating instead of Glossy, which instantly dulls everything and reduces clarity. Not QD-OLED. Probably not bright enough at 10% & 25% windows, although this is an issue for all OLED Monitors compared to TV. I've been dreaming up this sort of display for years, but I think I'll hold off on this one. But I’m sure most people will be very happy with it.
let's be honest here more & more peoples don't watch video using a TV anymore. I knows of many friends who don't even bother to have a tv in their home as to them phone or tablet is more important than a TV nowadays. my last tv broke down 12 years ago since then never have i once thought of getting a tv.
Since we’re being frank, you sound like your budget won’t support an extra device. Your home may be too small to support a dedicated space. And gaming may be your priority, so dumping funds into an ultra wide gaming monitor is prioritized before solving the previously mentioned problems. What I’m getting at is, you are probably not the target market for high end OLED TVs anyways, so your opinion on them is like a fart in the wind.
I'm not shocked at the insanely fast growing Oled monitor market share. From 500-600€ and up lcds are absolutely dead for gaming and content consumption, especially hdr. Most lcds completely suck and even the better minileds often are more expensive than Oleds and stil don't even come close. I hope Oleds become even cheaper. The LCD monitor brands didn't innovate for far to long, now they are dying except in the absolute low end.
Right now the 4090 with 4K monitor is pushing 30fps to 50fps native. 5090 may change that to 40fps to 60fps for new AAA games. So this monitor with that resolution, ull need a 9090Ti to hit 165hz. Amazing dpi but dang it, will not be able to run it even wityh a 5090 for AAA games. Unless you can game at slow fps and you dont get head spins and nausea from all the blur at such a low speeds, this is pointless. Im happy the resolution is so high, but its just possible to run this monitor with the current hardware.
It is time for all the monitors to have smart tv functions, starting this year. I myself, no longer watching tv since 4 years ago since i can watch any movies or tv programs I like on the website. Plus, I have 1440p ultrawide OLED monitor
I'm always an Android user but Apple TV 4K truly is a remarkable experience, that also supports multiple aspect ratios now. One of those would be better than any integrated smart TV functionality :)
I'm waiting for Samsung to update their 58" super ultrawide to OLED vs mini-led. I like the immersion factor. This 45" is ok but I'm not young anymore so lol.
A 4090 won't do 5k2k 165Hz let alone 240Hz in most games. And do not suggest frame generation as the solution. To note things like Indian Jones or Dune you'll be looking at around 60-70FPS raster.

It's a tragedy that first gen 5K2K is limited to 165hz, gotta wait to 2026 for 240hz.
True, especially if you have the previous QD-Oled version, really not worth the upgrade at all (if that’s even an upgrade? )
ou no... Bendable things wont last long D:
Flip phones good for 100,000 flips and this is less stressful.
That is rare, they did exactly what so many gamers need, to be able to play old games in 5K and to play new games in 2k, it is just perfect.
In a year you'll have the full resolution at the 330Hz, without dual mode.
Like monitors won't get better the year after that?
Monitor progress stops in 2026. Until 2027 cames along.
Полякам такие нравятся, покупают вместе с бобрами
I want a curved OLED TV 55". I'm watching this on a 55" curved Samsung LED TV that needs to be replaced.
let's be honest here more & more peoples don't watch video using a TV anymore.
I don't know anyone without a TV and a lot for their gaming PC just moved to OLED tvs in 55"+ so not sure how you've decided TVs aren't being used.
I really wish they would just stop with these curved monitors and just give me a 42inch 240hz monitor/tv. I'll continue to game on a C2 until they do.
This is the monitor I’ve been waiting for. But at 165hz it’s just not fast enough. I’ll sit on my wallet and wait for the 240hz version.
if only it was doing 480/240hz
I'm not shocked at the insanely fast growing Oled monitor market share. From 500-600€ and up lcds are absolutely dead for gaming and content consumption, especially hdr. Most lcds completely suck and even the better minileds often are more expensive than Oleds and stil don't even come close. I hope Oleds become even cheaper. The LCD monitor brands didn't innovate for far to long, now they are dying except in the absolute low end.
Watch it will be $2499, when it should be $1299.
No 240hz for GX9? Waaaack.
still dont understand the curve
165 Hz max at native resolution is too slow for OLED gaming these days..
only problem with OLED monitors is that they don't get very bright.
Old news. I already have a bendable sibling
Also set yourself up with an emby server to watch all the media you like rather than websites :)
Way to big. They already know this.
I'm waiting for Samsung to update their 58" super ultrawide to OLED vs mini-led. I like the immersion factor. This 45" is ok but I'm not young anymore so lol.
@@volcalstone 27 or 32 for gaming. No cure
I want it fixed flat, not curved trash
Wake me up when burn in is completely eliminated, till then i'll stick with IPS and VA.
Too bad only displayport 2.1 uhbr13 and instead of 20 so you will have to use DSC on such an expensive monitor.
Why 165hz and not 240hz ugh!
You have a card to push 5k to 240hz? Come on, and it goes to 330hz 1/2res if you really want refresh rate.
@ I have 4090 lol. Yeah 330hz at 1080p. Worst than my current LG 45 oled right now
A 4090 won't do 5k2k 165Hz let alone 240Hz in most games. And do not suggest frame generation as the solution. To note things like Indian Jones or Dune you'll be looking at around 60-70FPS raster.
@@adamchambers1393 It doesnt matter because I just dont used this monitor for games, but overall for productivity and work. I've been using their previous LG Oled 45 with 240hz and I can immediately noticed if someone have less than that. 240hz overall is just really smooth. If I'm paying that much money, its better be 240hz. The reason they didnt go 240hz this time is prob because next year they'll release one and people might want to upgrade AGAIN
in modern games even the CPU doesnt deliver always more than 100FPS, doesnt matter wich resoultion
Specs, specs, specs. Hopefully, next year it's all about "readability", "eye comfort", "practicality", and "affordability".
...but, I know, at this rate they're just going to fire a laser into our eyes and go "2999,99€ to see again"
Dude your watching a video about an exotic car and complaining it's not an economy car.
@@bearclaw5115 more commenting on the fact that there are still no affordable OLED monitors
matte display, disgusting AF
HAHAHAH them black bars to the side and to the bottom when watching netflix. Come on ffs, jesus thats not ok.
I mean its just 16:9 lol
Do you have black bars on your tv when watching cinemascope movies?🤦♂️ Lol
Most of these oleds are in handhelds. Doesnt count.
